This study aims to examine how the ability to apply professional competency tutors and how the ability to apply basic skills tutorial tutors Early Childhood Education Program in the Makassar Open University Distance Learning Program Unit. This research is type of qualitative research. Research sample consisted of six tutors as key informants. Purposive sampling technique is used with the consideration of key informants in the level II regional pokjar. Data analysis used four stages, namely identification, data reduction, interpretation, explanation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that tutors have tutorial readiness, tutors do not check module readiness and do not convey special competencies (KK), the presentation of material is still not optimal. The tutor does not provide apperception, the tutor is flexible and positive in the tutorial, presents the material using power points, the tutor has not maximized the assessment process or learning outcomes.   Keywords: Basic, competence, application, professional, skills, tutorial;

Introduction: The Pacific faces multiple healthcare crises, including high rates of noncommunicable diseases, infectious disease outbreaks, and susceptibility to natural disasters. These issues are expected to worsen in the coming decades, increasing the burden on an already understaffed healthcare system. Improvements in technology and accessibility have increased telehealth’s utility and have already proven to reduce costs and increase access to care in remote areas. Telehealth includes distance learning; a form of education that can help alleviate many healthcare issues by providing education to healthcare professionals and upskilling staff, which can promote workforce retention and decrease patient mortality. Distance learning programs at the Ministry of Health in the Pacific nation of Palau were examined and key elements to their success were identified. Methods: Thirty-four people, mostly health professionals at the Belau National Hospital in Palau were interviewed. Standardized questions and surveys were conducted in person throughout the month of July 2019. Findings: Two examples of successful distance learning programs were identified. Consulting with staff and analyzing each program, four factors for a successful distance learning program were identified: having a cohort, having a facilitator, dedicated study time off from work, and motivation. Conclusions: In countries as geographically isolated as the Pacific, with poor access to specialists and resources, telehealth has the potential to radically change how healthcare is delivered. Palau shares similar resources and issues as other countries in the Pacific and the lessons learned from their successful programs can be adapted to help other Pacific nations develop their own distance learning programs.

RESEARCH ARTICLE The Effectiveness of Using Critical Concepts and Outcomes in Distance Learning via Darsak Platform during Corona Pandemic in Compensating Students' Educational Loss in AL-Mazar Ash-Shamali Directorate of Education: Teachers' Perspectives Dr: Faisal Saleh Al-Jarrah Part-time lecturer, Irbid National University, Jordan Part-time lecturer, Mu’tah University, Jordan Educational supervisor and expert at Al-Mazar Ash-Shamali Directorate of Education, Jordan Abstract The present study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using critical concepts and outcomes in distance learning via Darsak platform during “covid-19” pandemic in compensating students' educational loss from the perspectives of the teachers in AL-Mazar Ash-Shamali Directorate of Education. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared an electronic questionnaire that consisted of (20) items. The questionnaire was distributed electronically to the sample of the study which consisted of (220) male and female teachers who were randomly chosen from the population of the study. The validity and reliability of the study questionnaire were ensured, and the descriptive analytical approach was used to analyze the data collected. The findings of the study stressed the importance of critical concepts and outcomes used in the distance learning program in compensating the students' educational loss. The findings also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 05.0) among the participants towards the use of critical concepts and outcomes in the distance learning program through Darsak Platform in compensating educational loss due to the gender variable. Keywords: Critical concepts and outcomes, distance learning program, educational loss, Darsak platform, teachers.

The article discusses the effectiveness of the application of the distance learning program at the level of the functional state and reserve capacities of the organism of students with disabilities: for 12 students of 17-19 years old with idiopathic structural scoliosis of II and III degrees of S-shaped type, engaged in a full-time program (stage I) and for the same students studying remotely (stage II), it was studied the functional indicators of the cardiovascular and autonomic nervous system, the function of external respiration, the tone of the paravertebral muscles of the back and neck, as well as indicators of strength and endurance. Then a comparison was made of the studied indicators of stages I and II. It is shown that distance learning has a negative impact on the health of students: hypertonicity of the muscles of the back and neck significantly increases almost twice (the most sensitive is the cervicothoracic region), there is a shift of autonomic tone by 10.73% towards sympathicotonia: heart rate blood pressure increased by 19.06% by 7.9%, respiratory rate by 7.92%, tidal and minute volumes by 17.8-20%, respectively. At the same time, strength endurance and the level of performance decrease by 11.7%. Such changes contribute to the tension of neurohumoral mechanisms of self-regulation, which leads to a decrease in the stock of functional reserves and significantly narrows the range of possible adaptive responses. It is shown that the informatization of the educational system in the edu cational process of students with disabilities should be of a mixed type, where the traditional form of classes remains the leading one.

This study aimed at overcoming the obstacles of implementing educational leadership standards in the distance learning program in light of Corona pandemic from the school principals’ point of view in the Directorate of Education of the Northern Mazar District / Jordan. To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher purposefully selected the research sample (44 principals) in the Directorate of Education of the Northern Mazar. The descriptive-analytical approach was used. The study emphasized the importance of implementing the educational leadership standards by school principals in the Directorate of Education of the Northern Mazar. Moreover, the study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 5.0) between the responses of the study sample in the practice of school principals to the following educational leadership standards: leading the development of the school, the directorate development program, the community school. In addition, the study concluded that the leadership in the educational system is based on standards in the Directorate of Education of the Northern Mazar in the distance learning program according to the Gender variable. The study recommended that the standards of educational leadership should be implemented in distance learning programs, as an advanced technological system, to meet the challenges of the educational process. This paper describes observations and experiences collected during 14 years of running the “Integrated circuits” course in the framework of a distance learning program. The main objective of the “Integrated circuits” course is to raise the interest in microelectronics, convince the students that IC design is not a “secret science” requiring extraordinary talent and prepare the students for continuation toward M.Sc. degree. The course includes a mixture of teaching materials available online for self-studying, short video files, interactive self-tests, two “hands on” exercises and educational software needed for these exercises. E-mail and/or phone consultations, face-to-face or online meetings with the instructor are possible. About 1/3 of all students enrolled for the distance learning course perceive the “Integrated circuits” course as interesting, praise the design exercises and ask if it would be possible to continue education in microelectronic design at a more advanced level. Unfortunately distance learning at advanced level is not possible, mainly because professional design software can be used only on site, not remotely.

This paper explores the development of the Teacher-Librarianship by Distance Learning Program at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It explores the development of the program from 1997 onwards, discusses the challenges and opportunities of Learning Management Systems, and explores key changes in the program over time. One key change has been the impact of technological changes and advances on teaching and learning. Participatory Culture and Connectivism are explained and the implications for this program are discussed. The authors understandings of teaching and learning in online environments have changed over the past 15 years. Key lessons learned and future plans are also highlighted.
