Abstract To aid the implementation of athlete surveillance systems relative to logistical circumstances, easy-to-access information that summarises the extent to which methods of acquiring data are used in practice to monitor athletes is required. In this scoping review, Social Network Analysis and Mining (SNAM) techniques were used to summarise and identify the most prevalent combinations of methods used to monitor athletes in research studying team, individual, field- and court-based sports (357 articles; SPORTDiscus, MEDLINE, CINHAL, and WebOfScience; 2014-2018 inc.) . The most prevalent combination in team and field-based sports were HR and/or sRPE (internal) and GPS, whereas in individual and court-based sports, internal methods (e.g., HR and sRPE) were most prevalent. In court-based sports, where external methods were occasionally collected in combination with internal methods of acquiring data, the use of accelerometers or inertial measuring units (ACC/IMU) were most prevalent. Whilst individual and court-based sports are less researched, this SNAM-based summary reveals that court-based sports may lead the way in using ACC/IMU to monitor athletes. Questionnaires and self-reported methods of acquiring data are common in all categories of sport. This scoping review provides coaches, sport-scientists and researchers with a data-driven visual resource to aid the selection of methods of acquiring data from athletes in all categories of sport relative to logistical circumstances. A guide on how to practically implement a surveillance system based on the visual summaries provided herein, is also presented.

Visual quality assessment of The Bay Villas Resort, Tanjung Lesung Banten. The Bay Villas Resort is a recreational area located in Tanjung Lesung, Banten, and is equipped with facilities to stay overnight. The Bay Villas Resort has beautiful natural and visual resource potential. The beach is clean and beautiful, overlooking the Sunda Strait and leading to Mount Krakatau. The problem is that the existing visual potential has not been utilized optimally. This can be seen from the unavailability of facilities for outdoor activities that take advantage of this potential. This study uses qualitative methods with research instruments in the form ofobservation followed by visual potential assessment with assessment methods. Data analysis used interval classes which were then classified according to their visual quality. This study aims to identify the visual potential as the basis for the development of the landscape of The Bay Villas Resort according to the characteristics and visual quality. The results of the research in the form of landscape visual quality which are classified into high, medium, and low landscape visual qualities will be useful as a basis for the placement of facilities in further landscape development.

The digitization of visual resources and the creation of corresponding metadata that meets the criteria of clarity and interoperability, while also approaching the needs of the multilingual Web, are pressing concerns. Because visual resources make up a significant percentage of digital information, this paper focuses on the aforementioned concerns and proposes ways to address them, including swift progression and adoption of cohesive, multi-user, multilingual metadata standardization to improve digital access and to allow all descriptive image metadata to be approachable and translatable. We offer some recommendations such as those involved in visual resource management moving away from using primarily the English writing system based metadata schemas in order to provide flexible lexicon in non-Roman languages, which can easily be recognized and interpreted by both monolingual and multilingual users alike as well as facilitate digital metadata interoperability.

Medulloblastoma, a childhood brain cancer of the cerebellum, has one of the highest mortality rates of pediatric cancers. For over a century, scientists believed that medulloblastoma metastasized exclusively through cerebrospinal fluid; however, novel research reveals that it can also spread through the circulatory system. Understanding this new mechanism is critical for the development of therapies and to help affected families understand their child’s disease. An educational 3D animation was developed to effectively disseminate this research to the scientific community and to educate physicians, researchers, and affected families about this disease. A story-driven narrative and emphasis on visual metaphor put the research in context by establishing why this research matters, what the future implications are, and how it is relevant to the audience. Additionally, various visual design strategies were implemented in order to increase memory retention and audience engagement. The final animation is the first visual resource that educates a lay audience on the two different mechanisms of medulloblastoma metastasis.

ABSTRACT Objective: Reporting the feedback on the results of a multicenter research for healthcare professionals that attend people living with HIV and AIDS in a Specialized Healthcare Center at Belém, state of Pará, Brazil. Method: Case report of the presentation and interpretation of research results, in 2015, totaling 25 participating professionals. The visual resource used was a data projector. Results: Participants reported the importance of the initiative, since, even though it is their right, feedback on research results is uncommon. Among the discussed issues, emerged the need for a culturally appropriate device for adequately strengthening educational practices carried out by healthcare professionals. Conclusion: Feedback on the research results enabled exchange of knowledge about the findings and production of new knowledge. In addition to achieving the social and ethical commitment of research, by promoting dissemination of results, enabling reflections on the reality in which they work.

Palavras-chave: Psicologia; Cinema; Infância; Teorias Psicológicas.ABSTRACTThis article presents the use of audio-visual resource as a didactic component in Psychology classes in a public institution of higher education.
