There have been several theories in the Western world, highlighting various features of human mind, but none of them seems to present the whole truth. The richness and diverse outlook of human experience makes it imperative to look for a model, which contributes in better and all-encompassing understanding of human nature. The present study intends to provide the venue to the spiritual insights of Ghazalian thought to be incorporated into the study of Freudian psychoanalysis, with its central focus on the similarities between them. Besides the current study proceeds from the assumption that though Freudian psychonalytic theory has provided insightful psychological interpretations, equally appropriate readings result from analyzing Ghazalian theory of soul. This study follows the descriptive and analytic methodology to investigate the similarities in both the models and has been developed according to the guidelines provided by Zepetnek’s (1998) theory of comparative literature. This analytical approach may lead to an alternative critical agenda for the better understanding of human psyche. In addition, it is also hoped that the insights yielded by this research study may develop into new forms of understanding in the realm of psychology.

All the three Abrahamic religions are considered as the monotheistic sources of violence around the globe. The Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments are criticized for encouraging radical religiosity, chauvinism and othering leading to violence in the name of religion while the Quran is blamed for promoting highly political religion which encourages violence in the name of Jihad. Both the militant movements affiliated to these religions and their leftist critics cherry-pick the verses of these holy books and demonstrate them as the religious grounds of radicalism leading to violent extremism. The current endeavor highlights such “warm” sources from the main religious books of these religions which can be/are used to promote violence and become sources of conflicts. It is opined that such sources are highly contextual, and not meant to be generalized in every situation. On the other hand, “cold” sources from these religious books are also unearthed as the timeless teachings of these religions which are both eternal and meant to be propagated to general public for the nurturing the society on peaceful and cooperative grounds so that they avoid conflicts in the first place and even if conflicts do arise, resolve them nobly.

Pakistan is an Islamic country and has been established in the name of Islamic ideology but rape and murder of innocent children and ladies, like Zainab presents a very ugly and obnoxious image of this Muslim nation. This research has been done to find the gender issues and feminine injustice in Pakistani press news reports from Critical Discourse Analysis viewpoint in light of teachings of Quran. It is said in the Quranic text: وَمَنۡ يَّعۡمَلۡ مِنَ الصّٰلِحٰتِ مِنۡ ذَكَرٍ اَوۡ اُنۡثٰى وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٌ فَاُولٰٓـئِكَ يَدۡخُلُوۡنَ الۡجَـنَّةَ وَلَا يُظۡلَمُوۡنَ نَقِيۡرًا “and whoso doeth good works, whether of male or female, and he (or she) is a believer, such will enter paradise and they will not be wronged the dint in a date- stone”. This research study is done to explain, what Quran says about gender issues and women injustice, using out press statements, images, and columns taking from both in English and Urdu languages newspapers, namely the Dawn and Express. The statements are taken during the week, after happening of brutal episode i.e. from 8 January 2018 to 14 January 2018.Inspiration of this project is created in the background of Zainab’s sexual abuse and gruesome rape, which happened in first week of January 2018. Initially the teachings of Quran, gender issues, feminine injustice and media discourse are explained briefly because injustice with ladies and children have been growing very rapidly since previous two decades in Pakistan. Then the significance of research is highlighted. This research is carried out in the paradigm of qualitative approach. Non probability purposive sampling technique is adopted for sample selection from selected newspapers. Van Dijk CDA model has been implemented for data analysis of the research, but keeping in view the hypothesis of the study the selected points are discussed only. The essential aim of the research is to focus on the pacifier and collusive stance of media, wrapped in the agenda of power which has been explored through Van Dijk  CDA model.

Holy Quran consists of the words and phrases with multiple connotations. On the issue of multiplicity and variation in the meanings of the Qur'anic words, there are diverse approaches adopted by Muslim scholars. Some of the researcher believe that a Quranic verse can be interpreted in more than one way, this phenomena of interpretation is called “Zanni-ul-Dalalah”, while the other group of scholars claim that the Quranic verses contain a fixed interpretation and don’t have provision of any other meaning, this type of interpretation is called “Qati-ul-Dalalah”. In the nineteenth century, Hamid-ud-Din al-Farahi put forward another theory that every word, sentence, and verse of the Qur'an has a definite meaning, and no other meaning or interpretation is correct, so in his view point whole quranic text is “Qati-ul-Dalalah”. Tafseer “Tafheem ul Quran”  by Abu-ala –almawdoodi belongs to 1st category, i.e. Quranic verses may contain more than one meaning, while  Tafseer “Tadabbur-e-Quran” by Ameen Ahsan Islahi is written on “Qati-ul-Dalalah” approach. So the author has compared the both approaches & concluded that the claim of “Qati-ul-Dalalah” in Quranic verses is not correct rather than the view point of the majority scholars (Jamhor Ulama) is quite perfect. The correct concept of interpretation is that, “some of the verses are definite, but we can’t deny the importance of external references along with additional information which is seldom required to understand the complete sense of the verses”. Holy Quran consists of the words and phrases with multiple connotations. Marriage is a contract between two mature and responsible individuals. Nikha is the most significant part of Islamic marriage ceremony. It is an agreement between husband and wife in form of contract. It has been clearly mentioned in the Holy Quran and in Hadith.  Sex is a need of every human species. In order to differentiate between human beings and animals, Islam has presented the marriage contract in a form of nikha to legalize sex for Muslims. In the sphere of life, husband and wife are like two wheels of a cart in which they share equal rights and responsibilities. The Holy Quran has clearly stated these rights and responsibilities which are given to both these genders. If a woman wants to terminate her nikha or if she wishes to get separated from her husband, she has given the right of Khula just like the male who has the right to dissolve his marriage by giving divorce.
