Acid-Basic Activation of Carbon-Containing Sorption Material and Its Application for Extraction of Methylene Blue Dye from Aquatic Media

The results of the use of thermally modified kieselguhr sludge from the production of vegetable oils (TKSH500) of the initial and activated with a 30 % solution of nitric acid (TKSH500k) and 1M sodium hydroxide solution (TKSH500sh) for purification of model solutions from the dye methylene blue (MB) are presented. The maximum activating effect was achieved as a result of acid treatment, which leads to a 38 % increase in the total acidity of the sorption material in comparison with the initial one. It is shown that the sorption isotherms of the dye on the initial and activated samples of TKSH500 have an S-shaped form. In the region of low dye concentrations, a monolayer is formed; with an increase in the dye content, sorption becomes polymolecular. Analysis of the IR spectra of sorption materials after adsorption of the MB dye showed a shift to the low-frequency region of the positions of the bands in the regions corresponding to the vibrations of the O–H and C = O bonds, which indicates the ionization of hydroxyl and carboxyl groups present in the sorption materials, and the formation of a bond between them and the MB molecule.

Design of a Laboratory Installation for Experimental Studies of the Process of Foam Purification of Gas-Dust Emissions from Red Phosphorus

A small-sized laboratory unit has been designed and manufactured for laboratory research of the process of cleaning gas emissions from phosphorus particles in a foam absorber. The installation is designed in accordance with the requirements of the similarity theory, which allows you to fully simulate the processes occurring in an industrial installation. The use of a small-sized laboratory foam filtration unit at the research stage will optimize and reduce the cost of the process of developing an industrial gas cleaning unit.

Application of the Integrated Acoustic Efficiency Indicator to Optimize a Combined Silencer for a Vehicle Exhaust System

A practical solution to the problem of determining the configuration of a combined muffler for exhaust noise of a vehicle with maximum acoustic efficiency for a given volume is presented using an integral indicator of acoustic efficiency. Optimization of the geometric parameters of noise mufflers based on the integral indicator of acoustic efficiency makes it possible to reduce the time spent on the selection of the main spatial parameters and characteristics of the applied sound-absorbing materials before starting numerical calculations.

On the basis of the comparison, common features and differences of external financial monitoring in commercial organizations and the budgetary sphere were identified, conclusions were formulated.

The author analyzes the periods of origin, formation and development of the military education system. The problems of military education in general and the training of officers in particular, which cannot be solved without the integration of military professional education and education in military training centers at civilian universities, are touched upon. Using the example of M. A. Bonch-Bruevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, a new approach to the formation of the personnel potential of the Armed Forces – officers’ training at a civil educational institution is shown.

The concept of V. I. Vernadsky about the geological eternity of life from the very beginning provoked fierce resistance from the official Soviet ideology. As a result of constant pressure from censorship, his work did not receive scientific discussion, recognition and development. The most fundamental and important books were published long after the death of their author. The revival of the concept of the biosphere began only in the 1960s. Today, we are on the verge of recognizing the scientific paradigm of the new geocentrism, resulting from the biosphere cosmology of V. I. Vernadsky.

The Influence of Natural and Man-Made Landscape Conditions on the Formation of Biological Heterogeneity in the Population of the Great Tit (Parus major L.)

The paper studies the size of the clutch and morphometric features of eggs, the growth and development of chicks of the great tit. Their dependence on many factors regulating the number of individuals and influencing the formation of the population as a whole is shown. The impact of exogenous factors on birds is perceived differently, due to their heterogeneity, which subsequently manifested itself in the ratio of large and small clutches, and a decrease in their number.

EVALUATING THE EFFICIENCY OF RECONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS FOR RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS OF MASS SERIES BY VALUE INDICATORS

Possible solutions for reconstruction of residential buildings of standard series are considered. The analysis of studies on the reconstruction of buildings in the world practice is conducted. The existing methods of technical and economic assessment of the effectiveness of the reconstruction of apartment buildings are analyzed. Using the example of the housing stock of the Tambov region, a study of the values of the technical and economic indicators of the space-planning solution of the building was carried out; the cost estimation of reconstruction with the construction of superstructures or extensions to the building was made in order to find the most optimal solution.
