The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) typically involves multihop relaying combined with sophisticated signal processing to serve as an information provider for several applications such as smart grids, industrial, and search-and-rescue operations. These applications entail deploying many sensors in environments that are often random which motivated the study of beamforming using random geometric topologies. This paper introduces a new algorithm for the synthesis of several geometries of Collaborative Beamforming (CB) of virtual sensor antenna arrays with maximum mainlobe and minimum sidelobe levels (SLL) as well as null control using Canonical Swarm Optimization (CPSO) algorithm. The optimal beampattern is achieved by optimizing the current excitation weights for uniform and non-uniform interelement spacings based on the network connectivity of the virtual antenna arrays using a node selection scheme. As compared to conventional beamforming, convex optimization, Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), the proposed CPSO achieves significant reduction in SLL, control of nulls, and increased gain in mainlobe directed towards the desired base station when the node selection technique is implemented with CB.

Energy and Spectrum are the two basic requirements in the realm of Internet-of-Things (IoT). The network of IoT is becoming larger day by day and the design of spectrum and energy efficient solution is a quite challenging task because of the rapid increase of connecting devices in IoT network. To make the system more energy and spectral efficient, energy harvesting and cognitive radio (CR) are the proficient solutions, respectively. This paper introduces a spectral and energy efficient design for CR based sensor networks. We present a network architecture, in which nodes or other sensing devices can use the spectrum opportunistically and energy harvesting can be done from different ambient sources. We then propose an 1) energy alancing scheme for heterogeneous network in which nodes will have different energy levels and 2) Cluster head (CH) selection scheme which will only be performed on the few nodes of network having the highest current energy to accomplish the ultimate goal of energy balancing in network, this analysis is performed with in the cluster. Furthermore, for the spectral efficiency, we propose a channel management scheme based on cognitive radio to allot the best available channel having highest reliability in respect of the bit error rate (BER) using. Comprehensive results exhibit the effectiveness in the performance of the proposed spectral and energy efficient schemes and show better performance over other schemes.

In this article, we consider the physical layer security issue in Internet of Things systems, in which there exist a sensing transceiver pair, a number of candidate nodes, and an eavesdropper. The transceiver pair needs to select a jammer node and a relay node among the candidate nodes so as to preserve the secrecy of the communications. Considering the diversity of candidate channels and the limited available power, it is infeasible to scan all the nodes and find the optimal one. We formulate this jammer and relay selection problem as an optimal stopping problem under a fixed sensing order. Then, through applying dynamic programming solution, we propose a low-complexity approach to obtain the optimal sensing order. The performance of the proposed selection scheme is evaluated through numerical results.

In this article, we propose a multi-label convolution neural network (MLCNN)-aided transmit antenna selection (AS) scheme for end-to-end multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Internet of Things (IoT) communication systems in correlated channel conditions. In contrast to the conventional single-label multi-class classification ML schemes, we opt for using the concept of multi-label in the proposed MLCNN-aided transmit AS MIMO IoT system, which may greatly reduce the length of training labels in the case of multi-antenna selection. Additionally, applying multi-label concept may significantly improve the prediction accuracy of the trained MLCNN model under correlated large-scale MIMO channel conditions with less training data. The corresponding simulation results verified that the proposed MLCNN-aided AS scheme may be capable of achieving near-optimal capacity performance in real time, and the performance is relatively insensitive to the effects of imperfect CSI.

The existing stand-alone multimedia machines and online multimedia machines in the market have certain deficiencies, so they cannot meet the actual needs. Based on this, this research combines the actual needs to design and implement a multi-media system based on the Internet of Things and cloud service platform. Moreover, through in-depth research on the MQTT protocol, this study proposes a message encryption verification scheme for the MQTT protocol, which can solve the problem of low message security in the Internet of Things communication to a certain extent. In addition, through research on the fusion technology of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, this research designs scheme to provide a LightGBM intelligent prediction module interface, MQTT message middleware, device management system, intelligent prediction and push interface for the cloud platform. Finally, this research completes the design and implementation of the cloud platform and tests the function and performance of the built multimedia system database. The research results show that the multimedia database constructed in this paper has good performance.
