Abstract: In MIMO millimeter-wave (mmWave) systems, while the hybrid digital/analog precoding structure provides the ability to increase the reach rate, it also faces the challenge of reducing the channel time limit due to the large number of horns on both sides of the Tx / Rx. . In this paper, channel measurement is done by searching with multiple beams, and a new hierarchical multi-beam search system is proposed, using a pre-designed analog codebook. Performance tests show that, compared to a highperformance system, the proposed system not only achieves a high level of success in getting multiple beams under normal system settings but also significantly reduces channel estimation time Keywords: Massive MIMO, Channel Estimation, precoding

<p>Millimetre wave (mm-wave) spectrum (30-300GHz) is a key enabling technology in the advent of 5G. However, an accurate model for the mm-wave channel is yet to be developed as the existing 4G-LTE channel models (frequency below 6 GHz) exhibit different propagation attributes. In this paper, a spatial statistical channel model (SSCM) is considered that estimates the characteristics of the channel in the 28, 60, and 73 GHz bands. The SSCM is used to mathematically approximate the propagation path loss in different environments, namely, Urban-Macro, Urban-Micro, and Rural-Macro, under Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) conditions. The New York University (NYU) channel simulator is utilised to evaluate the channel model under various conditions including atmospheric effects, distance, and frequency. Moreover, a MIMO system has been evaluated under mm-wave propagation. The main results show that the 60 GHz band has the highest attenuation compared to the 28 and 73 GHz bands. The results also show that increasing the number of antennas is proportional to the condition number and the rank of the MIMO channel matrix.</p>

With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, location-based services are playing an increasingly important role in people’s lives. However, as the living environment becomes more and more complex, the existence of obstructions and various scatterers makes the accuracy of traditional positioning algorithms decrease, thus, fingerprint positioning has gradually become a research hotspot in the field of positioning. This paper researches the 5th Generation (5G) fingerprint location method based on machine learning. A massive multiple-in multiple-out (MIMO) channel is constructed on the MATLAB simulation platform, from which the fingerprint information is extracted to establish a fingerprint database. Considering the huge amount of data in the fingerprint database, and under the multipath effect, the channel characteristics are mainly affected by the scatterers near the point to be located. This paper proposes a scattering-based clustering method that combines the particularity of multipath propagation for clustering. Research shows that this method has excellent clustering effects, which can effectively improve algorithm efficiency and reduce data storage pressure on the base station side. The growing demand for broadband Internet services is forcing scientists around the world to seek and develop new telecommunication technologies. With the transition from the fourth generation to the fifth generation wireless communication systems, one of these technologies is beamforming. The need for this technology was caused by the use of millimeter waves in data transmission. This frequency range is characterized by heavy path loss. The beamforming technology could compensate for this significant drawback. This paper discusses basic beamforming schemes and proposes a model implemented on the basis of QuaDRiGa. The model implements a MIMO channel using symmetrical antenna arrays. In addition, the methods for calculating the antenna weight coefficients based on the channel matrix are compared. The first well-known method is based on the addition of cluster responses to calculate the coefficients. The proposed one uses the singular value decomposition of the channel matrix into clusters to take into account the most correlated information between all clusters when calculating the antenna coefficients. According to the research results, the proposed method for calculating the antenna coefficients allows an increase in the SNR/SINR level by 8–10 dB on the receiving side in the case of analog beamforming with a known channel matrix.

Currently, the cognitive network is receiving much attention due to the advantages it brings to users. An important method in cognitive radio networks is spectrum sensing, as it allows secondary users (SUs) to detect the existence of a primary user (PU). Information of probability of false detection or warning about the PU is sent to a fusion center (FC) by the SUs, from which the FC will decide whether or not to allow the SUs to use the PU spectrum to obtain information. The transmission of information with a high signal to noise ratio (SNR) will increase the FC's ability to detect the existence of the PU. However, researchers are currently focusing on probabilistic formulas assuming that the channel is known ideally or there is nominal channel information at the FC; moreover, one model where the FC only knows the channel correlation matrix. Furthermore, studies are still assuming this is a simple multiple input – multiple output (MIMO) channel model but do not pay much attention to the signal processing at the transmitting and receiving antennas between the SUs and the FCs. A new method introduced in this paper when combining beamforming and hierarchical codebook makes the ability to detect the existence of the PU at the FC significantly increased compared to traditional methods.
