<p>Organizations face a myriad of challenges as the world interconnects through the process of globalization. In order to sustain viability and produce competitive advantage, organizations must develop a global communication strategy. Communication skills need to be developed at all levels of the organization, from a coherent mission statement to individual employee development. Organizations need global leaders, capable of moving in and through divergent cultural environments. Identifying and equipping these future leaders is an antecedent to success in the global marketplace. This paper offers an instructive model to guide organizations as they face increasingly complex, cross-cultural environments.</p>

Keberhasilan komunikasi dalam organisasi sangat bergantung pada kemampuan komunikasi pemimpinnya. Terkait dengan hal itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh core communication skills, managerial communication skills, dan corporate communication skills yang dilakukan oleh Hary Tanoesoedibjo di Media Nusantara Citra Group (MNC Group) terhadap komunikasi kepemimpinan. Dasar pemikiran penelitian ini adalah perspektif struktural fungsional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan populasinya adalah karyawan tetap MNC Group mulai manajer ke atas, berjumlah 1088 orang. Jumlah sampel dihitung dengan rumus Taro Yamane didapat hasil sebanyak 100 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data dengan product moment Pearson dan melakukan analisis uji hipotesis dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ketiga variabel independen yaitu core communication skills, managerial communication skills, dan corporate communication skills secara parsial maupun simultan memengaruhi effective leadership communication, karena indikator-indikator dalam ketiga variabel independen dapat mendukung terjadinya komunikasi internal perusahaan secara efektif. Simpulannya, tanpa memenuhi indikator-indikator dalam communication skills, maka seorang pemimpin akan cenderung gagal dalam melakukan komunikasi secara internal dalam perusahaan, baik dengan jajaran direksi atau komisaris maupun para pegawai secara keseluruhan. Kesemua indikator dalam penelitian ini, setelah disesuaikan dengan visi, misi, program dan kondisi perusahaan, disarankan untuk dijadikan sebagai standar keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh Chairman MNC terutama di masa depan.

This article explores, in general, three areas for leadership communication that women in business need to master.  Indeed, there are more than three, but the focus here is on:  the need to master the art of successfully confronting the problem when it appears, the process of leading a team, the special requirements of communicating with men. An exploration of these three areas shows that the vital and often missing link is opportunity for females to practice and feedback from male mentors and counterparts. The report also lists the top 10 strategies that women need in order to be perceived as successful leaders and communicators.

A manager is the one who is competent to fulfill this by effective leading, sound planning, monitoring, and communicating. It is the manager's communication skills that motivate and inspire teammates to work hard and achieve team target and organizational goals, as well. Furthermore, this paper later explains the idea of leadership communication, steps, and solution, which involved in overcoming the problems. Notably, future leaders must also certainly ensure that the subordinates are treated as members of the organization, whereby consistency in providing sound leadership would determine employee motivation and performance. This paper study also identifies trust in direction, which is related to work outcomes and trust in each other to improve better communication. Therefore, with the help of better communication, one can fulfill their job satisfaction and communication competency.

Interpersonal communication between the nurse manager and the executing nurse is needed for the continuity and productivity of the profession, whereby one’s productivity is strongly influenced by performance. Therefore, this study aims to know the extent of the relationship between the interpersonal communication skills (leadership, communication process, motivation, and negotiation skills) of the nurse managers, (independent variable), and the performance of nurses, (dependent variable) at Tgk. Chik Ditiro Sigli Hospital and Harapan Bunda Banda Aceh Hospital in Indonesia. The population in this study were all nurses at the two hospitals consisting of 331 respondents. The results showed a significant relationship between the interpersonal communication skills of the nurse managers and the performance of the nurses at the two hospitals. The test results also showed that there was a significant difference between the interpersonal communication skills of the nurse managers and the performance of nurses at Tgk. Chik Ditiro Sigli Hospital and at Harapan Bunda Banda Aceh Hospital. The only variable that showed similarities between the two hospitals was motivation.     Keywords: interpersonal communication, leadership, communication process, negotiation, motivation, performance.

In the maritime world, there are sailors from all over the world who work on a ship. The various cultural backgrounds brought by each crew certainly cannot be denied the same thing. A ship captain must have the ability to lead his ship's crews from various nationalities and cultures. Will be a leader for more responsibility in uniting tasks to carry out the task while on board. Once the complexity of responsibility is inevitable. This paper will discuss how leadership communication skills and a ship captain in command of the crews, interpersonal communication and leadership communication.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadershipcommunication skills on the performance of the employees of the South Bengkulu Regency Tourism Office.The method in this study uses a quantitative approach, with explanatory research methods. The results showed that the leadership's communication skills had a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Tourism Office. It can be seen from the results of the regression test that the equation Y = 9.391 + 0.592X, this equation has a meaning, that the regression coefficient value of the leadership communication ability variable is 0.592 which is positive. The conclusion of the study is that improving the leader's communication skills will improve employee performance on work.   Keywords: Employee Performance, Leadership Communication.
