This paper demonstrates the empirical application of Six Sigma and Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) methodology to reduce product defects within a garments manufacturing organization in Bangladesh which follows the DMAIC methodology to investigate defects, root causes and provide a solution to eliminate these defects. The analysis from employing Six Sigma and DMAIC indicated that the broken stitch and open seam influenced the number of defective products. Design of experiments (DOE) and the analysis of variance (ANOVA) techniques were combined to statistically determine the correlation of the broken stitch and open seam with defects as well as to define their optimum values needed to eliminate the defects. Thus, a reduction of about 35% in the garments defect was achieved, which helped the organization studied to reduce its defects and thus improve its Sigma level from 1.7 to 3.4.

Chinese tourism in Europe has tripled over the last decade to reach 6 million tourists in 2018. Understanding tourist behavior allows for improvement of the tourist experience and better management of destinations. To these ends, this study analyzes (1) the motivations, expectations and satisfaction of Chinese tourists and (2) defines the main differences between young Chinese (18-29 years old) and more mature Chinese tourists. Data is extracted from 360 survey questionnaires that were administered to tourists after their trips to Europe. Destination Spain, in Western Europe, is selected as the case study. Mean analysis, one-factor ANOVA and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) have been conducted. The results show that more mature travelers have significant differences in the travel arrangements, motivations, expectations and evaluations of their trips than do younger travelers. Younger tourists chose independent trips, while the more mature ones chose either full group packages or independent trips. The younger have a wider range of motivations and preferences for activities at their destinations. New trends in Chinese tourists visiting Europe are discussed and implications for the destination are explored

The average percentages of non-revenue water (NRW) for Malaysia and for the state of Perak in 2010 were 36.37 and 29.44%, respectively. These average percentages have led to lower income generation. This could create constraints on maintenance and operation of water reticulation systems. In this study, the appropriate time band of minimum night flow (MNF) and the actual water loss or amount of NRW for the district of Kinta in Perak, Malaysia were investigated. Flow and pressure in 361 zones in Perak were monitored for 24 h using PrimeWorks software. From the 361 zones, 30 study zones were randomly selected. The 30 study zones were geographically divided into three groups, with each group having 10 zones. Statistically, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to test the variations in MNF among the three groups. The data of the flow for the 30 zones were screened from 1:00 to 5:00 am for the past 4 years. The frequency of MNF occurrences was analyzed every 15 min. The results show that the majority (84.2%) of the frequencies of MNF occurrences in the 30 study areas occurred from 2:15 to 4:15 am, whereas minimum frequencies were observed at 1:00, 1:15, and 5:00 am.

The focus of the present research was to find out the Role of Siraiki Language in Teaching/Learning English Language at graduation Level. By this study the researcher attempted to expose the intentions for which the students and instructors make use of Siraiki in their English language classroom inside and outside activities and in the same way, to show the actions and the situations in which they select for not using their L1. To explore a clear comprehension of the current subject matter, the research targeted on the 577 students and the 156 teachers. Data was collected through questionnaires. The data was examined through SPSS (statistical package for social sciences) 23 version. Data were inspected using descriptive analysis, Analysis of variance (ANOVA), T-Test and Cronbach's alpha. The findings of the present study showed that the students and the teachers indicated highly positive perceptions concerning the use of Siraiki language in EFL classroom.

Label claims leads to consumer driven toward food purchase intention and acceptance. The aim of this study is provide information about label influences using a diet chocolate ice cream. The ice cream was sweetened with polydextrose, maltitol and neosucralose. A group of 112 consumers expressed their perception under two conditions: blind (only testing samples) and informed (evaluating samples with label claim), using two scales: a 9-cm unstructured hedonic scale and a 5-point purchase intention questionnaire. An analysis of variance, Tukey´s test and PCA were calculated. Considering overall liking, consumers differed significantly the samples (P≤0.05) and claims containing “Fiber” were more accepted. Furthermore, the purchase intention was higher under the informed condition, mainly affected by claim with “Fiber”, and so by term “Zero”. These findings showed that changes in the functional property claim influenced consumers’ acceptance. In general, they preferred healthy information, like “With Fiber” and dislike terms associated “Diet” words.
