The present article aims to compare the performance in students with Attention Deficit Disorder to those who do not present it, in tasks of reading comprehension and text production carried out by students attending the fourth grade of primary education. This quantitative, non-experimental comparative study aims to provide evidence regarding the way in which this condition limits the learning outcomes in the tasks of comprehension and production of texts, language, and communication. One the main findings of this research was that students with attention deficit disorder showed lower reading comprehension performance than their peers who do not presented this diagnosis. This same tendency was observed in the results of the texts production tasks. This implies that the disorder affecting the attention in students with it interferes in the process of language learning. This generates challenges and new questions for those who do research in this topic; and for the case of teachers, it presents new challenges when planning the teaching in order to adapt it to the specific requirements of these students in the area of language.

Abstract: The objective of this study is analyze the relation between the practice of bodily expression activities and motor creativity. In order to evaluate the motor creativity levels we use an adaptation of the test Thinking creatively in Action and Movement (Torrance,1981a, 1981b) in 22 participants of Primary Education practising and no practising of bodily expression. The dates obtained show that the higher levels of creativity are in the practising group for fluency, flexibility, originality and expression, finding significative diferences in all the creative indicators except originality. Our results seem demostrate that bodily expression activities contribute to develop creative capacitie of pupils. Keywords: bodily expression, motor creativity, development, physical education.

Abstract Background Sexual assertiveness is one of the main issues in sexual relationship between couples. Since substance dependence might disrupt this relationship the present study was designed and conducted to assess and compare sexual assertiveness in women with and without substance-dependent husbands Methods This was a cross-sectional study. The Hurlbert Index of Sexual Assertiveness (HISA) was used. The data then were compared between women with and without substance-dependent husbands. Results In all 300 women with and without substance-dependent husbands entered into the study. The mean age of the women was 37.31±8.79 and 32.70±7.24 years, and the mean duration of their marriage was 15.92±9.40 and 12.08±8.92 years, respectively. The majority of women with substance-dependent husbands had primary education (40.3%) and the majority of those with non-substance-dependent husbands had higher (37.3%). The mean score of sexual assertiveness was 50.66±14.31 in the women with substance-dependent husbands and 58.42±13.86 in those with non-substance-dependent husbands (P<0.001). Conclusions The risk of lower assertiveness for women with substance-dependent husbands was 2.2 times more than women with non-substance-dependent husbands. The husband’s substance dependency is therefore an issue that is worthy of attention in sexual and marital counseling. Sexual assertiveness can be improved in women with substance-dependent husbands through the implementation of appropriate interventions, such as educational and counseling programs.

Los resúmenes de trabajos empíricos deben seguir esta estructura.ABSTRACT From a socioconstructivist perspective and according to the PASS model, mediation is a key strategy for reading development. This research explores how to promote reading comprehension in 4th grade primary education students. A multiple case study design, in an evaluative way, is used in three different school contexts. The data presented were obtained through participant observation, interviews with teachers, groups of discussion, and children’s micro-stories.  The qualitative analysis is carried out with the constant comparative method. The results show that mediation improves reading comprehension from three macro-categories: the sensitivity of the educational community, the organizational dynamics indicated by the collaboration and regulated participation, and the argumentation based on the debate and the dialogue for the explicit metacognition. The relationship between the different categories and contexts show nuances of interest in the development of the mediation processes, which highlight the modulating role of the teaching culture in the potential of the key issues obtained. The relation between different categories and contexts indicate the interest in the mediation process development, as well as highlighting the role of teaching culture in the potential of the obtained keys points.

This research aims to (i) examine the effectiveness and the efficiency of primary education management with regards to the service user satisfaction within 29 primary schools in Thailand, subject under provincial administrative organization (PAO), and their counterparts, which are under the authority of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), (ii) to conduct a comparative study concerning the effectiveness and the efficiency generated from the selected schools by specifically handpicking, from each province, one school from the PAO and two from the OBEC, amounting to the total number of 3 schools representing each province. The selected samples can be categorized into those containing similar numbers of students and the ones with certain amounts of operating unit cost (OUC), which are essentially contributing to the sum of 87 schools. The data collection was carried out by drawing samples from the students, the parents, and the members of the concerned communities. Each group comprised 812 subjects, leading to the total number of 2,436 study subjects. The gathered data is analysed using average mean and t-test. The findings indicate that the level of user satisfaction, in general, towards the primary education management of the PAO schools, which is marked as  x= 4.34, is lower than those listed under the supervision of the OBEC. Such result is consistent for either cases where the sample schools contain similar students numbers ( x= 4.41) or the case where the amount of OUC is relatively equal ( x= 4.41). Upon considering and assessing each group, it was found that while the user satisfaction level, as produced from the students and the community members, did not have significant differences, on the other hand, the level of satisfaction that was generated by the parents reveals that the parents’ perception towards primary education management under the PAO authority ( x= 4.36) was placed lower than those of OBEC, which was also applicable to both cases where similar number of students were present ( x= 4.49) and where the OUC was somewhat equivalent ( x= 4.48).
