ABSTRACTThe design and development of this product is a part of the abstract changes that exist in the business world. In a classroom measuring 9m x 8m that will be used to place a book storage cabinet for this activity does not take many places. Book storage cabinets like these require to place books according to the size of the shelves that are already designed using A4 paper rules. Designing a Book Storage Cabinet product using the Adiwiyata concept which means an environmental program by taking colors that have a natural impression, and cool and using a modern minimalist design style to fit the classroom that is not too spacious. With the design methods that have been done include: Design stages, Preliminery design, Problem formulation, Literature review, Analysis and design specifications, Design specifications, Design develoment, Final designs and prototypes. So that a book storage cabinet design has been produced that has a modern minimalist design style. Keywords: Cupboard, Storage, Books

Poor sanitation is a major problem for health and water resources in many developing countries. Inexpensive but also attractive toilets could be a way to fight these problems. However, radical new ideas are needed to identify innovative solutions. Such novel ideas might be found by using systematic design methods that search nature for animals and plants that solve similar problems. The paper describes how four conceptual sanitation solutions for dry toilets solving problems with smell, cleaning and flies can be made in collaboration between a design engineer and a biologist using biomimetic design methods. The solutions have the potential to offer significant improvements compared to conventional non-water-based sanitation.

Abstract The focus of the submitted article is to introduce the findings of author’s research in the area of destination management process conducted in the developed (Alpine) tourist destinations in the year of 2014. The theoretical part based on a literature review summarizes current knowledge dealing with the destination management process in terms of approaches and research findings. Problems influencing either positively or negatively this process, e.g. financing, legislation or cooperation among stakeholders are also defined. The practical application part includes an analysis of model destinations in Lower Austria and Upper Austria and presents the results of qualitative research conducted in these destinations. The collected information can be used to design methods leading to the improvement of the destination management process in tourist less developed destinations.

This paper introduces empathic design as a framework and a strategy that can be adopted by the emerging field of experience design (XD) to create meaningful experiences connected with people’s lives and needs. The paper presents the rationale behind the emergence of empathic design, the traits that characterize this approach to design, a collection of empathic design methods and practices, and a critical discussion of the limitations of empathy in design. Methodologically, this paper is based on a systematic literature review on empathic design, human-centred design, and empathy, which is synthesized and focused its application in experience design. Ultimately, this paper intends to contribute to the broader discussion of how traditional design practices are adapting and evolving to respond to new realities, and how new design paradigms are needed to address the very complex challenges that we face in the 21st century.

Reports of KKP / TA / SKRIPSI  is one of the requirements that must be traveled by students to complete the final level of research that has been done. Preparation of reports are currently running manually using paper media . There were identified 5 ( five) subject matter that is formulated to find out the answer. There are also  3 ( three ) benefits , and there are 6 (six) advantages and 1 (one ) shortcomings of the proposed new system. Widuri is a medium for learning, especially  Pribadi Raharja in Perguruan Tinggi Raharja. In order to enrich the insights and knowledge, sharing knowledge with others , improve and develop creativity in writing the article. To identify existing problems such as reports on library storage inefficient and writing reports that still use manual design methods ekplotatory author. The author also makes the UML and Literature review  on Wiki as a research method. This study aims to allow students to use as a storage facility Widuri report of KKP / TA / SKRIPSI  and make references that can be accessed online . By applying widuri as storag Report KPP / TA / SKRIPSI may facilitate students in making a report and look for references. It can be concluded that the WIduri is able to overcome the problems that occur in the collection of the report KKP / TA / SKRIPSI in Perguruan Tinggi Raharja.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to provide a characterization of the editorial design methods of technical books in a hybrid publishing context. Design/methodology/approach The paper starts by characterizing editorial design as a discipline itself within graphic design, which is then further identified as in urgent need to adapt strategies to technologies, communication processes and existing information flows. Along with the literature review, the paper includes an analysis of one particular case study, O’Reilly Media. Findings The paper provides arguments to conclude that the classical approach to the designer’s workflow should be reviewed and the way of framing the editorial problem should also be different: it should focus on the content. Originality/value The paper includes implications for the improvement of digital workflows and design processes in the STM hybrid publishing field.

Computerized auditory training (CAT) is a convenient, low-cost approach to improving communication of individuals with hearing loss or other communicative disorders. A number of CAT programs are being marketed to patients and audiologists. The present literature review is an examination of evidence for the effectiveness of CAT in improving speech perception in adults with hearing impairments. Six current CAT programs, used in 9 published studies, were reviewed. In all 9 studies, some benefit of CAT for speech perception was demonstrated. Although these results are encouraging, the overall quality of available evidence remains low, and many programs currently on the market have not yet been evaluated. Thus, caution is needed when selecting CAT programs for specific patients. It is hoped that future researchers will (a) examine a greater number of CAT programs using more rigorous experimental designs, (b) determine which program features and training regimens are most effective, and (c) indicate which patients may benefit from CAT the most.
