The structure and composition of the air-cooled high speed motorized spindle for wood-working machine and some features relative to the metal cutting motorized spindle are introduced briefly. Then the main heat sources and heat dissipation mechanism of the air-cooled motorized spindle are thoroughly analyzed, finite element model of the air-cooled motorized spindle is built, the motorized spindles temperature distribution under thermal steady state and the influence of speed are analyzed. The results show that air cooling relative to the water or oil cooling has many advantages and reasonable heat dissipation structure design of air-cooled motorized spindle could meet the requirements of the high-speed motorized spindle for wood-working machine.

The configuration of LED street lamp is important for its high security and low cost requirements. The modular method is introduced to design LED street lamp with independent light source and heat dissipation structure. In the single module heat pipe technology radiator is used to improve the LED street lamp of the cooling efficiency. For the 60W LED module, the optical lens are designed with the angles of 60 ° and 30 ° respectively and the average temperature is 329 K on each observation sides of the module.

In this work, a light grid system with a high-power LED chip was manufactured and employed to analyze the energy efficiency of output optical energy. The high-power LED system based on thermoelectric modules, a heat dissipation structure and optical transmission system with an optical fiber were optimally combined and designed, which increased the efficiency of light grid system. Additionally, by introducing an effective design for the heat dissipation structure, the output optical energy and recycled electrical energy were increased. The recycled energy through optimized heat dissipation structure was 1.94 W, and the system efficiency of designed light grid system is more than 50%. In this research, we intensively studied the energy efficiency of a light grid system as well as the recycling of thermal energy through thermoelectric modules.

Lithium-ion power battery has become an important part of power battery. According to the performance and characteristics of lithiumion power battery, the influence of current common charge and discharge and different cooling methods on battery performance was analysed in this paper. According to the software simulation, in the 5C charge-discharge cycle, the maximum temperature of the cells with regular arrangement is 57.97°C, the maximum temperature of the cells with staggered arrangement is 55.83°C, and the maximum temperature of phase change cooling is 47.42°C. The most important thing is that the temperature difference between the cells with phase change cooling is only 5.5°C. Some simulation results of air cooling and phase change show that phase change cooling can control the heat dissipation and temperature rise of power battery well. The research in this paper can provide better theoretical guidance for the temperature rise, heat transfer and thermal management of automotive power battery.
