In response to the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection, a novel composite battery box with BF/PLA composite is proposed. Firstly, the mechanical properties of BF/PLA composite are tested, and it is concluded that the property parameters of BF/PLA composite with 50% BF mass fraction is selected as the material property parameter of subsequent finite element simulation. Subsequently, the statics analysis and constraint modal analysis of the traditional metal battery box are carried out under the typical working conditions of rapid turning and braking under vertical bumping. Based on this, the upper and lower box materials of the battery box except the bracket are replaced by BF/PLA composite. The morphology optimization, topology optimization and free size optimization are carried out with the constraint that the first-order modal vibration frequency is no less than 30 Hz. Compared with the traditional metal battery box, the stiffness and strength of the optimized BF/PLA composite battery box are significantly enhanced. Moreover, the first-order constraint modal frequency increases by 15.5%, and the comprehensive weight reduction ratio reaches 40.88%. Finally, the optimized BF/PLA composite battery box is verified under random vibration, mechanical shock analysis, collision analysis, extrusion and falling ball analysis and drop analysis conditions. Meanwhile, compared with the traditional metal battery box under the same working conditions, the excellent reliability of the composite battery box is highlighted. The proposed BF/PLA composite battery box satisfies the requirements of stiffness and strength performances under various working conditions, which provides theoretical and data support for the application of composite materials in battery box and other automotive components.

Abstract Consistence of lithium-ion power battery significantly affects the life and safety of battery modules and packs. To improve the consistence, battery grouping is employed, assembling batteries with similar electrochemical characteristics to make up modules and packs. Therefore, grouping process boils down to unsupervised clustering problem. Current used grouping approaches include two aspects, static characteristics based and dynamic based. However, there are three problems. First, the common problem is underutilization of multi-source data. Second, for the static characteristics based, there is grouping failure over time. Third, for the dynamic characteristics based, there is high computational complexity. To solve these problems, we propose a distributed multisource data fusion based battery grouping approach. The proposed approach designs an effective network structure for multisource data fusion, and a self supervised scheme for feature extraction from both static and dynamic multisource data. We apply our approach on real battery modules and test state of health (SOH) after charging-discharging cycles. Experimental results indicate that the proposed scheme can increase SOH of modules by 3.89%, and reduce the inconsistence by 68.4%. Meanwhile, with the distributed deployment the time cost is reduced by 87.9% than the centralized scheme.

For fuel cell hybrid vehicles, the energy distribution mechanism of the fuel cell and power battery should reasonably allocate the power output of the fuel cell and power battery, optimize the efficiency of both and control the power battery SOC to fluctuate within a reasonable range. To test the energy flow and operation characteristics of the powertrain of two hybrid car models on the market, two test vehicles (called vehicle A and vehicle B in this paper) are tested on an AIP 4WD chassis dynamometer under constant power and the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle-Passenger cycle condition, respectively. The test results show that vehicle A has a smaller power battery SOC variation interval and a lower variable rate than vehicle B. The cumulative power battery output energy of vehicle B is more significant than that of vehicle A. More importantly, the current rare public test reports of fuel cell vehicles make this study very valuable. This paper has important reference significance for the energy flow characteristics and energy management strategy of existing fuel cell hybrid vehicles.

Major countries and automobile manufacturers in the world jointly promote the transformation of automobile energy and boost the development of electric vehicles. As the most widely used power battery, the lithium-ion power battery comes under the spotlight. The progress of lithium iron phosphate batteries and ternary lithium batteries has given rise to the hope of transformation. And the breakthrough of solidstate batteries has laid a solid foundation for future highperformance batteries. This paper reviews and analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of three power batteries, and evaluates their modifications, application, and current situation. It can be concluded that ternary lithium batteries cannot replace lithium iron phosphate batteries and solid-state batteries temporarily cannot be widely produced and applied.
