Different multiple objectives expressed in different units make optimization difficult. Therefore, the internal mechanical solution of a Ratio System, producing dimensionless numbers, is preferred to weights, which are most of the time used to compare the different units. In addition, the ratio system creates the opportunity to use a second approach: a non-subjective Reference Point Theory. Therefore, the Reference Point Theory uses the ratios found in the ratio system as co-ordinates for the alternative solutions, which are then compared to a Maximal Objective Reference Point. The two approaches form a control on each other. This overall theory is called MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis). The results are still more convincing if a Full Multiplicative Form is added, three methods assembled under the name of MULTIMOORA. At that moment, the control by three different approaches forms a guaranty for a solution being as non-subjective as possible. As to calculate the sum of three obtained ranks is not allowed, a theory of Ordinal Dominance is developed in order to remain in the ordinal sphere.

Procurement selection process in the acceptance of prospective students is an initial step undertaken by private universities to attract superior students. However, sometimes this selection process is just a procedural process that is commonly done by universities without grouping prospective students from superior students into a class that is superior compared to other classes. To process the selection results can be done using the help of computer systems, known as decision support systems. To produce a better, accurate and objective decision result is used a method that can be applied in decision support systems. Multi-Objective Optimization Method by Ratio Analysis (MOORA) is one of the MADM methods that can perform calculations on the value of criteria of attributes (prospective students) that helps decision makers to produce the right decision in the form of students who enter into the category of prospective students superior.

The Muirhead mean (MM) operators offer a flexible arrangement with its modifiable factors because of Muirhead’s general structure. On the other hand, MM aggregation operators perform a significant role in conveying the magnitude level of options and characteristics. In this manuscript, the complex spherical fuzzy uncertain linguistic set (CSFULS), covering the grade of truth, abstinence, falsity, and their uncertain linguistic terms is proposed to accomplish with awkward and intricate data in actual life dilemmas. Furthermore, by using the MM aggregation operators with the CSFULS, the complex spherical fuzzy uncertain linguistic MM (CSFULMM), complex spherical fuzzy uncertain linguistic weighted MM (CSFULWMM), complex spherical fuzzy uncertain linguistic dual MM (CSFULDMM), complex spherical fuzzy uncertain linguistic dual weighted MM (CSFULDWMM) operators, and their important results are also elaborated with the help of some remarkable cases. Additionally, multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) based on the Multi-MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization Based on a Ratio Analysis plus full multiplicative form), and proposed operators are developed. To determine the rationality and reliability of the elaborated approach, some numerical examples are illustrated. Finally, the supremacy and comparative analysis of the elaborated approaches with the help of graphical expressions are also developed.

Sehingga ditemukan tingkat akurasi berdasarkan penilaian pakar sebesar 86,67 %.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Abstract</strong></p><div><p><em>This study aims to assist wood craftsmen in Dongkelan, Krapyak, Yogyakarta in determining the best wood to be used as guitar material, because there are frequent complaints from buyers that the material used for guitar is rotten quickly and is dull in terms of color. Based on these problems, a solution was sought using the Multi Objective Optimization on the basic of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) Decision Support System method and assisted by experts in determining the right criteria related to determining the best wood used in making guitar materials, after a long discussion found the results. the right criteria based on the problem, in the form of wood strength criteria, wood grain, texture, and wood weight. All of these criteria are then processed using the MOORA method, with the data used as much as 29 types of wood data, which are obtained from craftsmen in the area. After processing, the 3 best woods that are suitable for use as a guitar-making material are Bubinga wood with a value of 18.36785, Bocote wood with a value of 17.333385, and Eboni wood with a value of 17.333385 from several alternative wood choices. . Proving the results of the MOORA method, the respondents directly gave the results of the method to guitar-making experts. Of the 15 expert guitar makers, 13 said they agreed with the third largest ranking, and 2 said they disagreed. So that it found the level of accuracy based on expert judgment of 86.67%. </em></p></div><p><strong><br /></strong></p>

PurposeExisting studies have found that most merger and acquisition (M&A) activities do not create the intended synergy. These studies have mainly investigated how firms' internal factors contribute to M&A successes or failures. The current study differs from the earlier ones by exploring how governments' activities can contribute to the creation of acquisition synergy.Design/methodology/approachA novel technique based on multi-objective optimization by ratio analysis and complex proportional assessment method under an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy (IVIF) environment is proposed to prioritize these government roles needed during the M&A process focusing on the Chinese M&A market.FindingsEnactments of regulations and loan guarantees are the most important strategies to help Chinese acquirers overcome acquisition failures. While tax relief ranks third, government training support ranks fourth. Finally, the result shows that government institutional support is the least to help acquirers overcome acquisition failures.Practical implicationsThe government has a role to play in the acquisition success. Although this study has prioritized governments' role in relative importance order, the authors recommend that governments capable of providing all these strategies should do so without any specific order. However, if otherwise, governments should not neglect the strategies with less weight completely but rather consider reducing capital allocations to such strategies. Moreover, this study shows how firms with stronger business ties with government officials may enjoy success during acquisition activities. The authors recommend that firms intending to make acquisitions develop stronger ties with governments in order to benefits from governments.Originality/valueThis is the first study to develop a theoretical framework showing how government can contribute to M&A success. The study achieves this by extending Keynesian's arguments and identifies five (5) ways in which governments can ensure acquisition success. Second, within fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (F-MCDM) research, this study is the first to show the applicability of integrated multi-objective optimization by ratio analysis (MULTIMOORA) and complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) techniques in an IVIF environment. The novel methodology proposed in this study offers an insightful research method to future studies focusing on group decision problems.
