The sediment sequence analysis of Mann-Kendall method based on major rivers of 10 hydrological station in the middle reaches of the Yellow River [1]. The results show that: The main rivers in the middle reaches of the Yellow River hydrologic station sediment overall showed a trend of decreased significantly. Sediment discharge of all stations except Gao Jiachuan station have reached the maximum in 1956-1969s [2-3]. Among various hydrologic station sediment discharge of inter-generational are generally shows the tendency of reducing year by year. Calculate the sediment transport of major river basin of Yellow River, which average is 0.63.

The analysis of annual mean maximum and annual mean minimum temperature data are studied in GIS environment, obtained from 34 meteorological stations scattered throughout the Bangladesh from 1948 to 2013. IDW method was used for the spatial distribution of temperature over the study area, using ArcGIS 10.2 software. Possible trends in the spatially distributed temperature data were examined, using the non-parametric Mann-Kendall method with statistical significance, and the magnitudes of available trends were determined using Sen’s method in ArcMap depiction. The findings of the study show positive trends in annual mean maximum temperatures with 90%, 95%, 99% and 99.9% significance levels.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jesnr.v7i2.22210 J. Environ. Abstract In this rapid and specific micro-scale electrochemical enzymic assay for cholesterol and cholesterol esters, 10 microL of standard or sample is injected directly into a heated (50 degrees C) thermostated, oxystated cuvet containing pH 7.25 buffer, cholesterol oxidase (EC 1.1.3.6), and cholesterol esterase (EC 3.1.1.13). The cholesterol esters are hydrolyzed by the esterase, and the cholesterol is simultaneously oxidized by the oxidase. The hydrogen peroxide produced from oxidation of the unesterified cholesterol is measured by a polarographic anode covered with an acetate/polycarbonate membrane. The membrane allows hydrogen peroxide to diffuse to the platinum anode, where it is oxidized, but prevents the diffusion of ascorbic acid, uric acid, and bilirubin to the electroactive surface. Turbidity does not interfere. The correlation (r) between results by our method and the Abell-Kendall method for 105 samples of serum was 0.9994 and for 105 samples of plasma was 0.9997. Our method is convenient for the analysis of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in plasma and serum supernates and in many kinds of tissue homogenates. Its limitations are also described.

Air temperature and precipitation variation trends of the upstream of Lancang river using the time series from 1957 to 2011 are evaluated. The Mann-Kendall method is applied to study the trend and climatic jump of the air temperature and precipitation time series. It shows that the temperature has an obvious uptrend with an increase of 0.023?C per year. The annual precipitation of the upstream of Lancang river is 954.96 mm without any change, however, the precipitation is gradually increased from upstream to downstream. This paper is significant for understanding the climate change over the years, and it has practical significance for water resources allocation and management in the future.

Characteristic analysis of rainfall variation can offer technical support to flood prevention. Based on annual precipitation data of eleven major stations in Zhuzhaoxin River Basin from 1964 to 2008, Kendall method was applied to analyze the evolution tendency. Moving t-test and orderly clustering analysis method were discussed with sudden change points. Then spectrum density graph of variance was used to analyze precipitation variation period. The result showed that the variation of rainfall was obvious; the sudden change points occurred in 1976, 1986 and 2002; Precipitation variation periods were three years and seven years.

“Rail Baltica” project is priority project No 27 “Rail Baltica” axis Warsaw-Kaunas-Riga-Tallinn-Helsinki, approved by Decision No 884/2004/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 amending Decision No 1692/96/EC on Community guidelines for the development of the trans-European transport network (European Union, 2004). An article analyzes the changes in the main parameters of the 1435 mm gauge railway infrastructure during the whole period of the “Rail Baltica” project, determines their impact on the project implementation time-line, purposes and results, highlights basic parameters which need to be met during modernization. On this basis, the main criteria for the evaluation of Rail Baltica rail infrastructure were selected. An expert survey was conducted to evaluate the criteria. The Kendall method was used to calculate the criteria weights. The article ends with a scientific discussion.

Abstract A single stable Liebermann-Burchard reagent was prepared and studied for the rapid and accurate determination of total cholesterol in serum. The preparation, stability, and developed spectral character of the proposed reagent were assessed. Reproducibility, recovery, and interference studies on pure standard and patient sera were performed using the Abell-Kendall method as reference. The influence of water, protein, bilirubin, hemoglobin, and other serum constituents was evaluated.
