Chronic disorders or diseases like hypertension, diabetes-mellitus, cancer, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension are becoming more prevalent nowadays even at a younger age. Various methods have been introduced to determine several diseases out of which the concept of measurement of endothelins and matrix metalloproteinases and the usage of endothelin receptor antagonist as a way of treatment either singly or combinedly with other drugs has achieved more importance. By the usage of serum matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and endothelins we can determine the people who are at risk of developing hypertension, type2 diabetes, heart failure, atherosclerosis, cancer, pulmonary hypertension and can also assess the range of complications that are going to occur in the individual. These elevated levels cause remodelling after a period of time. Hence, the detection is done through a method in which few factors like endothelins and MMPs of our body are measured through a blood sample, maximum benefits can be obtained in individuals who have a significant family history of developing hypertension and other conditions In this review we have discussed about various effects of endothelins in different conditions, and also to know if these conditions can be improved or not by using endothelin receptor antagonists.

Abstract The heart is one of the most crucial organs for the functioning of the human body. Due to aging and various other ailments like cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure, the functioning of the heart tends to drop or stop in serious conditions. In such conditions, a bio-medical device called the cardiac pacemaker is used. The pacemaker is a small device that will be placed in the dysfunctional heart that sends electrical impulses to the heart muscles whenever the functioning decreases or ceases. But the pacemaker existing in the market has a low battery life and has to be replaced every few years which is a painful process for the people using it. Therefore, to overcome this predicament in this study we have designed and developed a self-sustaining pacemaker that can generate its electricity from the pacing of the heart itself thereby increasing its battery life generously. This pacemaker works on the principle of tribe-electricity. The model of this pacemaker is designed using SolidWorks and the electrical circuit for the same is simulated using Simulink.

This chapter focuses on the deaths of the people who died in Ireland in 1917. Some of these deaths were those of the released 1916 Rising prisoners, including packaging porter Christopher Brady, who was released due to ill-health and died at home from pneumonia. Other 1916 Rising prisoners, like carpenter Bernard Ward, died from prison-related illness. Trade unionist engineer William Partridge, who died two months after release from Lewes on medical grounds and whose 'death was due to prison treatment', became a union official after losing his railway job for protesting at the preferential promotion of Protestants. Meanwhile, schoolteacher Thomas Ashe was jailed in Mountjoy for a seditious speech, during which he and others went on hunger strike for political status. Ashe died due to 'heart failure and congestion of the lungs caused by being left to lie on the cold floor for fifty hours and then subjected to forcible feeding in his weak condition after hunger strike'. Police reported that Ashe's death 'evoked demonstrations of sympathy on the part of Nationalists' across Ireland and gave a fresh impetus to the Sinn Féin movement.

ABSTRAK Hipertensi adalah kenaikan tekanan darah baik sitolik maupun diastolic. Hipertensi di kenal dengan the heterogeneous group of disease dan the killer diasease. Kata Kunci: edukasi, penyuluhan , hipertensi  ABSTRACTHypertension is increasing and diastolic blood pressure both sitolik.Hypertension in know the heterogeneous group of disease and the killer diasease.Hypertension is a risk of causing, early death and the occurrence of heart failure. brain disorders and diseasesThe who data years 2015 1,13 demonstrated about billion people around the world bears, hypertension which means 1 3 people around the world from an undiagnosed. hypertensionThis number will continue to increase annually, it is estimated that in 2025 1,5 there will be billion people affected, hypertension and according to estimates there are million who will 10,44 died of hypertension and komplikasinya. in every yearOf, age social and economic hitertensi. can developWith age, the risk of hypertension is greater, is due to the change strukur on the veins of the large lumen become narrower in the walls of veins and become more rigid and. increase systolic blood pressure. The purpose of this community devotion to provide counseling and educate people about disease hypertension .A method that done by visiting and give education in sertai discussion to the people and to check blood pressure .Devotion masyarat is done on june 9 , 10 and 13 in 23 january 2021di bungus kabung bay .To provide information about diseases hypertension , give brochures to educate the people and have a tension .  Keywords: education , counseling , hypertension

A white boy six months of age was hospitalized with respiratory distress and congestive heart failure. Control of the heart failure was achieved but marked cardiomegaly, moderate hepatomegaly, and minimal muscular weakness persisted. At birth a chest x-ray had been taken because of rapid breathing and jaundice and showed the heart to be of normal size. Clinical studies included: EKG which showed biventricular hypertrophy, needle liver biopsy which showed toxic hepatitis, and cardiac catheterization which showed no obstruction to left ventricular outflow. Liver and muscle biopsies revealed no biochemical or histological evidence of type II glycogexiosis (Pompe's disease). At thoracotomy, 14 milligrams of left ventricular muscle were removed. Total phosphorylase activity in the biopsy specimen was normal by biochemical analysis as was the degree of phosphorylase activation. By light microscopy, vacuoles and fine granules were seen in practically all myocardial fibers. The fibers were not hypertrophic. The endocardium was not thickened excluding endocardial fibroelastosis. Based on these findings, the diagnosis of idiopathic non-obstructive cardiomyopathy was made.

Nitric oxide (NO) is a potent endothelium-derived relaxing factor which also may modulate cardiomyocyte inotropism and growth via increasing cGMP. While endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) isoforms have been detected in non-human mammalian tissues, expression and localization of eNOS in the normal and failing human myocardium are poorly defined. Therefore, the present study was designed to investigate eNOS in human cardiac tissues in the presence and absence of congestive heart failure (CHF).Normal and failing atrial tissue were obtained from six cardiac donors and six end-stage heart failure patients undergoing primary cardiac transplantation. ENOS protein expression and localization was investigated utilizing Western blot analysis and immunohistochemical staining with the polyclonal rabbit antibody to eNOS (Transduction Laboratories, Lexington, Kentucky).

Abstract Recently, we have read with great interest the article published by Ibarrola et al. (Clin. Sci. (Lond.) (2018) 132, 1471–1485), which used proteomics and immunodetection methods to show that Galectin-3 (Gal-3) down-regulated the antioxidant peroxiredoxin-4 (Prx-4) in cardiac fibroblasts. Authors concluded that ‘antioxidant activity of Prx-4 had been identified as a protein down-regulated by Gal-3. Moreover, Gal-3 induced a decrease in total antioxidant capacity which resulted in a consequent increase in peroxide levels and oxidative stress markers in cardiac fibroblasts.’ We would like to point out some results stated in the article that need further investigation and more detailed discussion to clarify certain factors involved in the protective role of Prx-4 in heart failure.
