It is a common and effective method to enhance the dielectric properties of BST ceramics by adding rare-earth elements. In this paper, it is important to analyze the cause of the high dielectric constant behavior of La-doped BST ceramics. The results show that proper rare earth La dopant ([Formula: see text]) may greatly increase the dielectric constant of BST ceramics, and also improve the temperature stability, evidently. According to the current–voltage ([Formula: see text]–[Formula: see text]) characteristics, the proper La-doped BST ceramics may reach the better semiconductivity, with the decrease and increase in La doping, the ceramics are insulators. By using the Schottky barrier model and electric microstructure model to find the surface or grain boundary potential barrier height, the width of the depletion layer and grain size do play an important role in impacting the dielectric constant.

Rare earth doped ZnO particles were synthesized by low temperature hydrothermal method. They showed fine pin-shaped growing along the C axial direction with the diameter about 9-48 nm. The structures of zinc oxide and La doped ZnO were characterized through X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), Uv-vis diffuse spectrum (UV – vis DRS). Our results indicated that the doping of La results in the crystal cell of ZnO inflating, the band gap shift up to the ultraviolet region with the increase of La doping concentration.

In this present work, rare earth elements La was added to catalysts for the oxidative esterification of methacrolein (MAL) to methyl methacrylate(MMA). Catalysts were characterized by means of BET techniques. Effects of La proportion, material liquid pH and catalyst amount on catalytic performance were investigated. The results indicated that the addation of La in appropriate proportion could improve the catalyst’s activity. 1.0% was found to be the optimum La additional amount. Under the condition of reation temperature 323K, w%(catalyst) 3.6%, proportion of La in the catalyst 1%, pH of material liquid 10.0 the MMA yield could reached up to 89.8%.

In this paper, we investigated the influence of rare earth ([Formula: see text] and Gd) doped Ba[Formula: see text]RE[Formula: see text]Ca[Formula: see text]Ti[Formula: see text] Mn[Formula: see text]Nb[Formula: see text]Zr[Formula: see text]O3 (BCTMNZ) ceramics were fabricated by using a conventional solid-state reaction method. The doping effects of La and Gd on the structural and magnetic properties were studied. The structural pattern of the ceramic samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction and the results indicated that both samples shows an orthorhombic structure with pure phase. Strain and crystalline size values for Gd and La doped were 0.31–0.33% and [Formula: see text]–[Formula: see text]m, respectively. The room temperature hysteresis loops were obtained by using a vibrating sample magnetometer. La doped ceramic showed the higher value of magnetization i.e., [Formula: see text]B/f.u. as compared to Gd doped BLTMNZ ceramics.

In this work, we well performed the silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) supported on rare earth oxides ,which La-doped nanoceria nanocomposites for the scavenging Hydroxyl radicals that used facile and readily synthesized strategy .The complex microstructure nanoparticles were characterized by High resolution transmission electron microsopy (HRTEM), Energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD). This paper showed AgNPs were immobilized on an functionalized dual-rare earth oxides surface that have a potential in biomedicine like antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anticancer on perspectives future.
