In the development of 3G devices, all elements of multimedia (text, image, audio, and video) are becoming crucial choice for communication. The secured system in 3G devices has become an issue of importance, on which lot of research is going on. The traditional cryptosystem like DES, AES, and RSA do not able to meet with the properties of the new generation of digital mobile devices. This paper presents an implementation of video protection of fully encrypted using Elliptic Curve   Cryptography (ECC) on a mobile device. The Android platform is used for this purpose.  The results refer that the two important criteria of video mobile encryption: the short computation time required and high confidentially are provided.

In this chapter, the practical issue of realizing a necessary intelligence quotient for conceiving intelligent user interfaces (IUIs) on mobile devices is considered. Mobile computing scenarios differ radically from the normal fixed workstation environment that most people are familiar with. It is in this dynamicity and complexity that the key motivations for realizing IUIs on mobile devices may be found. Thus, the chapter initially motivates the need for the deployment of IUIs in mobile contexts by reflecting on the archetypical elements that comprise the average mobile user’s situation or context. A number of broad issues pertaining to the deployment of AI techniques on mobile devices are considered before a practical realisation of this objective through the intelligent agent paradigm is presented. It is the authors hope that a mature understanding of the mobile computing usage scenario, augmented with key insights into the practical deployment of AI in mobile scenarios, will aid software engineers and HCI professionals alike in the successful utilisation of intelligent techniques for a new generation of mobile services.

We propose the software architecture of a new generation of advisory systems using Intelligent Agent and Semantic Web technologies. Multi-agent systems provide a well-suited paradigm to implement negotiation processes in consultancy situations. Intelligent software agents act as clients and advisors using their knowledge in order to assist human users. In the proposed architecture the domain knowledge is semantically modeled by means of XML-based ontology languages such as OWL. Using an inference engine the agents reason on base of their knowledge to make decisions or proposals. The agent knowledge consists of different types of data: on the one hand private data, which has to be protected against unauthorized access, and on the other hand publicly accessible data spread over different web sites. Comparable to a real consultancy situation, an agent only reveals sensitive private data if it is indispensable for finding a solution. In addition, depending on the actual consultancy situation each agent dynamically expands its knowledge base by accessing OWL knowledge sources from the Internet. The usefulness of our approach is proved by the implementation of an advisory system whose objective is to develop virtual student advisers that render support to university students in order to successfully organize und perform their studies.


Mobile Learning also known as mLearning, is a new generation of learning where content which users wants to learn is accessible and available on mobile devices like smart phone and tablets. With the evolution of “world in the pocket” learning becomes much easier and one can start learning on the go. This paper illustrates how mLearning could be a better new way to learn and to interact with the learning content provided and how mLearning is proving to be a better alternative to traditional learning. Learning through traditional methods is not helping students to learn and gain new knowledge wherever and whenever they want and also it’s not that effective. It is also researched that not all mLearning applications are helpful for the students or learners to learn whatever they want, only apps with interactive and user-friendly user interface were found helpful. That’s why mobile learning applications are made with user-friendly user interface. Some practical strategies and methods of implementation of mLearning approach despite of its limitations and challenges were recommended in this paper as well.

Mobile devices have introduced a new generation of educational tools that afford creative use and instant access to a wealth of resources. These devices hold great potential for transforming learning. On one hand teachers and students are very positive about these devices, on the other hand, there are several obstacles faced. This paper examines the benefits and challenges of mobile devices on learning and teaching. The study shows that teachers and students are optimistic about the use and influence of these devices on students’ motivation, communication, collaboration and ability to research. Adequate training and support can help overcome the challenges faced.

A new generation of students is accustomed to daily use of mobile devices, and educating them in the proper way is a complicated task. Video games are an ideal tool for communicating with students, and finding the right combination of using mobile devices with educational games is important for educating them. This paper describes a novel approach to educational game defining and interpretation. Application of a model-driven approach to educational game interpretation enables the use of the same game on different devices and platforms. The authors enable the interpretation of an educational game on any mobile device. These games take learning outside the classroom and provide a fun and interesting way of learning anytime, anywhere. The authors use an adventure game as an example using this methodology.

The application of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) to the agriculture sector has been greatly increased in the last decade. The ICT technologies have become an essential part of any business. Using Internet on mobile devices can prove to be essential in agriculture production. A new generation of mobile devices are lower in price and more user-friendly. This paper provides an overview of software applications that are created in Croatia and are mostly in the Croatian language. They are divided into groups of agriculture related applications; agriculture management information apps; agriculture information resource apps; agriculture calculator apps; agriculture news apps, weather apps. The research shows the agri-apps are still in its infancy and we can say that it reflects the state of agriculture in Croatia. Apps are a promising solution for farmers enabling them quick and trustworthy access to information. At the moment, further analyses are needed for scientific proof and improvement of a product

Health is an information rich and complex environment, which makes it essential to implement interoperability in different health organizations and the consequent homogeneity among Health Information Systems (HIS). The Agency for the Integration, Dissemination and Archiving of Medical and Clinical Information (AIDA) is a consistent agent monitoring platform capable of guaranteeing the automation of information as well as the interoperability and integration of HIS. This platform was designed as a solution to the information islands that are commonly found in hospital systems, and it is currently being used in several hospitals throughout Portugal. However, like any technological innovation, the solution requires a constant health technology assessment (HTA) to ensure the absence of obsolescence and a continued efficiency and security of the platform. Hence, this article focuses on the relevance and the need for vigilance, culminating in the restructuring of certain intelligent agents that make up the AIDA platform.
