The application of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) to the agriculture sector has been greatly increased in the last decade. The ICT technologies have become an essential part of any business. Using Internet on mobile devices can prove to be essential in agriculture production. A new generation of mobile devices are lower in price and more user-friendly. This paper provides an overview of software applications that are created in Croatia and are mostly in the Croatian language. They are divided into groups of agriculture related applications; agriculture management information apps; agriculture information resource apps; agriculture calculator apps; agriculture news apps, weather apps. The research shows the agri-apps are still in its infancy and we can say that it reflects the state of agriculture in Croatia. Apps are a promising solution for farmers enabling them quick and trustworthy access to information. At the moment, further analyses are needed for scientific proof and improvement of a product

Mobile Learning also known as mLearning, is a new generation of learning where content which users wants to learn is accessible and available on mobile devices like smart phone and tablets. With the evolution of “world in the pocket” learning becomes much easier and one can start learning on the go. This paper illustrates how mLearning could be a better new way to learn and to interact with the learning content provided and how mLearning is proving to be a better alternative to traditional learning. Learning through traditional methods is not helping students to learn and gain new knowledge wherever and whenever they want and also it’s not that effective. It is also researched that not all mLearning applications are helpful for the students or learners to learn whatever they want, only apps with interactive and user-friendly user interface were found helpful. That’s why mobile learning applications are made with user-friendly user interface. Some practical strategies and methods of implementation of mLearning approach despite of its limitations and challenges were recommended in this paper as well.

Motivation: Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems are an essential part of novel technology in diabetes management and care. CGM studies have become increasingly popular among researchers, healthcare professionals, and people with diabetes due to the large amount of useful information that can be collected using CGM systems. The analysis of the data from these studies for research purposes, however, remains a challenge due to the characteristics and large volume of the data. Results: Currently, there are no publicly available interactive software applications that can perform statistical analyses and visualization of data from CGM studies. With the rapidly increasing popularity of CGM studies, such an application is becoming necessary for anyone who works with these large CGM datasets, in particular for those with little background in programming or statistics. CGMStatsAnalyser is a publicly available, user-friendly, web-based application, which can be used to interactively visualize, summarize, and statistically analyze voluminous and complex CGM datasets together with the subject characteristics with ease.

Future mobile and embedded systems will be smarter and more user-friendly. They will perceive the physical environment, understand human context, and interact with end-users in a human-like fashion. Daily objects will be capable of leveraging sensor data to perform complex estimation and recognition tasks, such as recognizing visual inputs, understanding voice commands, tracking objects, and interpreting human actions. This raises important research questions on how to endow low-end embedded and mobile devices with the appearance of intelligence despite their resource limitations.

This article analyses Camille Henrot’s 2013 film Grosse Fatigue in relation to the histories of hypermedia and modes of interaction with the World Wide Web. It considers the development of non-hierarchical systems for the organisation of information, and uses Grosse Fatigue to draw comparisons between the Web, the natural history museum and the archive. At stake in focusing on the way in which information is organised through hypermedia is the question of subjectivity, and this article argues that such systems are made ‘user-friendly’ by appearing to accommodate intuitive processes of information retrieval, reflecting the subject back to itself as autonomous. This produces an ideology of individualism which belies the forms of heteronomy that in fact shape and structure access to information online in significant ways. At the heart of this argument is an attention to the visual, and the significance of art as an immanent mode of analysis. Through the themes of transparency and opacity, and order and chaos, the article thus proposes a defining dynamic between autonomy and automation as a model for understanding the contemporary subject.

The availability of new mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) equipped with many sensors is changing or, better, enriching the way we monitor and sense the world that surrounds us. The internet has permeated completely not only our scientific and technological development, but also our life. Only some years ago, we used geospatial data and GIS software installed within our computers. Nowadays, data and operators are provided via the net by means of distributed and shared geo-services and a simple and powerless mobile device is enough to connect them. The possibility of interaction has become not only faster and more user friendly but also active, being individuals and communities free of adding, deleting, and changing contents in real time in the new GeoWeb2.0. This chapter explores GeoWeb2.0.

In the development of 3G devices, all elements of multimedia (text, image, audio, and video) are becoming crucial choice for communication. The secured system in 3G devices has become an issue of importance, on which lot of research is going on. The traditional cryptosystem like DES, AES, and RSA do not able to meet with the properties of the new generation of digital mobile devices. This paper presents an implementation of video protection of fully encrypted using Elliptic Curve   Cryptography (ECC) on a mobile device. The Android platform is used for this purpose.  The results refer that the two important criteria of video mobile encryption: the short computation time required and high confidentially are provided.

Social entrepreneurship in Indonesia is growing rapidly today. Social entrepreneurship is an alternative solution in the social solution of society with entrepreneurship. One of the social entrepreneurship organizations in Yogyakarta is Agradaya which is engaged in agriculture. Agradaya is optimizing agricultural production. This study identifies the process of social entrepreneurship using the concepts of Perrini and Vurro. The method used in this study is a qualitative biography study approach that expresses the experiences of attracting actors in the process of developing social entrepreneurship. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and document search. The selection of informants is purposive which directly leads to goals. In this study the focus was on the two founders of Agradaya, Andhika and Asri. Supporting informants consist of farmers who are members of a women's farmer group (KWT) Menoreh guided by Agradaya. Data analysis is done by categorizing data, describing, and data presented in the form of narrative stories along with graphics, schemes, and drawings, then draw conclusions. The results obtained in this study are that Agradaya starts the practice of social entrepreneurship directly as a social enterprise. The results of the research show that in the process of development Agradaya approaches farmers and collaborates. There is encouragement from each of the founders to solve social problems in agriculture by conducting natural agricultural education, land management, educating the use of solar dryer technology in the process of adding value to the sale price, as well as open access to information and markets for farmers.

The number of mobile applications has been increasing rapidly in every field of life with the increasing use of smart devices. Smartphones and tablets make our lives easier with their properties and application they include. Minor or major accidents in traffic are always present in the daily life resulting in financial damage and loss of lives. There have been a number of studies done to speed up the processes to be done from the moment an accident happens. This study aims to enable people to perform all of the post-accident processes quickly and accurately with the use of mobile devices. In this way, papers and documents like photographs will be sent to the competent authorities without wasting time and effort. In addition, access to the road assistance needed will be quite easy.
