<p>Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a set of affective, behavioral and physical symptoms with appear in the luteal phase that could affect productivity and quality of life. PMS in adolescents could affect academic performance, such as a decreasing in concentration, failed the exam and absenteeism in the class. The objective was to evaluate the prevalence of PMS and determine its effect on quality of life among female health science students. This cross-sectional study was conducted between July-September 2017 on nursing female students of Health Science Collage “Karya Husada Semarang”, Central a Java, Indonesia. Students were enrolled 207 from first to fourth grade using WHOQOL–BREF form to determine quality of life. Inclusion criteria were having regular menstrual cycles (21-35 days) at least three period. Descriptive analysis and Mann Whitney tests were used for statistical analyses. The prevalence of PMS was found to be 60.8%. Physical health, psychological, social relationship, and environment domain were significantly higher in females with PMS (for each one P &lt; 0.05).</p>

Background of the study: COVID-19 impacts library activities. However, previous studies have not analysed the use of electronic resources (online database) before and during the pandemic, especially concerning higher education libraries in Indonesia. Purpose: This study investigated electronic collections before (2019) and during the pandemic (2020) in the Universitas Indonesia Library. Method: This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis. Using online database usage logs from 2019 to 2020. Findings: The study divided its online database comparisons into several clusters, including multi-disciplinary, health, science and technology, and social science and humanities. The findings show that the use of almost all electronic collections declined in 2020, especially the use of e-books and protocol collections. When grouped according to knowledge clumps, however, the use of electronic collections increase in 1) health and 2) social sciences and humanities. Use declined in 1) multi-disciplinary and 2) science and technology clusters. Conclusion: This study recommends further research.

Summary Objectives: The growing use of health information technology in operational settings, along with the maturation of the discipline of biomedical informatics, requires reorganization of educational programs in the field. The objective of this paper is to provide a context and description of the biomedical informatics education program at Oregon Health & Science University. Methods: The details of the program are provided. Results: The paper describes the overall program and its component curricula. Conclusions: OHSU has developed a program that caters to the full spectrum of those who will work in the field, allowing education tailored to their career goals and needs. The maturation of Internet technologies also allow most aspects of the program to be delivered on-line. The informatics field must step up to the challenge of educating the best workforce to achieve our goals for the optimal use of HIT.
