Abstract The paper focuses on the pad contamination defect removal technique. The defect is detected at the outgoing inspection step. The failure analysis results showed that the defect is Fluorine type contamination. The failure analysis indicated many source contributors mainly from Fluorine based processes. The focus is in the present work is in the rework method for the removal of this defect. The combination of wet and dry etch processing in the rework routine is utilized for the removal of the defect and preventive action plans for in-line were introduced and implemented to avoid this event in the future. The reliability of the wafer is verified using various tests including full map electrical, electrical sort, gate oxide breakdown (GOI) and wafer reliability level, passivation quick kill to ensure the integrity of the wafer after undergoing the rework routine. The wafer is monitored closely over a period of time to ensure it has no mushroom defect.

Abstract Background Up to 7.5% of tined-lead removals in patients having sacral neuromodulation (SNM) therapy are associated with a lead breakage. It is still unclear what adverse effects can be caused by unretrieved fragments. The aim of our study was to describe the lead removal technique we have been using for the last 2 years in our centre. Methods We retrospectively enrolled patients who had lead removal between January 2018 and January 2020 using our standardized technique. The novelty of the technique is in the use of the straight stylet, which is available in the quadripolar tined-lead kit. The stylet gives the electrode greater stiffness, reducing interactions with surrounding tissues and probability of damage or breakage during removal. Results In 59 patients (42 women, mean age 57.2 years [range 40–79 years]) the lead was removed using our standardized technique. In 44 of 59 patients, the tined-lead was removed within 2 months from the SNM-test, due to lack of beneficial effects. In 15 patients the electrode was removed because of failure of definitive implantation. Meantime from definitive implantable pulse generator (IPG) implantation to lead removal was 67.9 months. We recorded only 1 case of lead-breakage during removal: a female patient with a non-tined lead fixed on sacral bone, placed 18 years previously using an open technique. Conclusions Lead breakage during removal is not uncommon and adverse effects of retained fragments may occur. Our technique has been safely used for the last 2 years in our centre, with no episodes of lead breakage or retained fragments, except for one non-tined electrode.

The submicroscopic organization of mesophyll cells from tobacco leaves systemically infected with tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) is described. After fixation with glutaraldehyde and osmium tetroxide the arrangement of the TMV particles within the crystalline inclusions is well preserved. Only the ribonucleic acid-containing core of the virus particles is visible in the micrographs. Besides the hexagonal virus crystals, several characteristic types of "inclusion bodies" are definable in the cytoplasm: The so-called fluid crystals seem to correspond to single layers of oriented TMV particles between a network of the endoplasmic reticulum and ribosomes. Unordered groups or well oriented masses of tubes with the diameter of the TMV capsid are found in certain areas of the cytoplasm. A complicated inclusion body is characterized by an extensively branched and folded part of the endoplasmic reticulum, containing in its folds long aggregates of flexible rods. Certain parts of the cytoplasm are filled with large, strongly electron-scattering globules, probably of lipid composition. These various cytoplasmic differentiations and the different forms of presumed virus material are discussed in relation to late stages of TMV reproduction and virus crystal formation.

Remote sensing (RS) is one of the data collection technologies that help explore more earth surface information. However, RS data captured by satellite are susceptible to particles suspended during the imaging process, especially for data with visible light band. To make up for such deficiency, numerous dehazing work and efforts have been made recently, whose strategy is to directly restore single hazy data without the need for using any extra information. In this paper, we first classify the current available algorithm into three categories, i.e., image enhancement, physical dehazing, and data-driven. The advantages and disadvantages of each type of algorithm are then summarized in detail. Finally, the evaluation indicators used to rank the recovery performance and the application scenario of the RS data haze removal technique are discussed, respectively. In addition, some common deficiencies of current available methods and future research focus are elaborated.
