Leukocytes or white blood cells have a characteristic characteristic of different cells. Determination of the impression of the number of leukocytes is determined in the number of cells in the field of view. While the number of viewable field cells expressed is still quite varied. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of leukocytes in the field of view and expressed the impression of a sufficient amount. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Health Analyst Department Panrita Husada Bulukumba on 9 April 2017 to 14 July 2017. This type of research is a laboratory observation that aims to determine the criteria for assessing the impression of the number of leukocytes on a peripheral blood smear. Data analysis using statistical analysis is the average and standard deviations to determine the impression of the number of leukocytes and use 3 inspection zones. The results of this study obtained results in zone IV the number of leukocyte impressions said to be sufficient was 7-10, in zone V the number of leukocyte impressions said to be sufficient was 4-9, and in zone VI the number of leukocyte impressions said to be sufficient was 3-8.

During pregnancy, there will be a marked change in anatomy, physiology and biochemistry since the onset of pregnancy and often lackof nutrient intake. Hematologic disorder is often found in pregnant women because it causes pregnant women more susceptible to disturbances in blood circulation, The purpose of this study to determine the description of blood smear results in pregnant women in the laboratory RSUD H.A.Sulthan Daeng Radja District. This research is descriptive with laboratory observation approach. The sample used in this study were 30 samples of pregnant women who checked themselves in the Laboratory of RSUDH.A.Sulthan Daeng Radka Bulukumba District. The result of this research showed the result of peripheral blood smear on the morphology of erythrocytes using 30 samples of pregnant women showed 14 samples (46,66%) normocytic normochrom and the remaining 16 samples were morphological variation (53,33%), on morphological examination and platelet count with using 30 samples of pregnant women showed each 29 samples had morphology and normal platelet counts with respectively 96.66% percentage and platelet aggregation and decreased platelet count (thrombocytopenia) with each persentase 3.33%. At leukocyte morphology examination using 30 samples of pregnant women showed 29 samples had normal morphology with 96,66% percentage and one sample with hypersegmentation with percentage 3,33%. normal leukocyte count at 9 samples with percentage 30% and leukocyte count increased at 21 samples with percentage 70%.

Background Scoring systems which quantify initial risks have animportant role in aiding execution of optimum health services by pre-dicting morbidity and mortality. One of these is the score for neonatalacute physiology perinatal extention (SNAPPE), developed byRichardson in 1993 and simplified in 2001. It is derived of 6 variablesfrom the physical and laboratory observation within the first 12 hoursof admission, and 3 variables of perinatal risks of mortality.Objectives To assess the validity of SNAPPE II in predicting mor-tality at neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), Soetomo Hospital,Surabaya. The study was also undertaken to evolve the best cut-offscore for predicting mortality.Methods Eighty newborns were admitted during a four-month periodand were evaluated with the investigations as required for the specifi-cations of SNAPPE II. Neonates admitted >48 hours of age or afterhaving been discharged, who were moved to lower newborn care <24hours and those who were discharged on request were excluded. Re-ceiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) were constructed to derivethe best cut-off score with Kappa and McNemar Test.Results Twenty eight (35%) neonates died during the study, 22(82%) of them died within the first six days. The mean SNAPPE IIscore was 26.3+19.84 (range 0-81). SNAPPE II score of thenonsurvivors was significantly higher than the survivors(42.75+18.59 vs 17.4+14.05; P=0.0001). SNAPPE II had a goodperformance in predicting overall mortality and the first-6-daysmortality, with area under the ROC 0.863 and 0.889. The best cut-off score for predicting mortality was 30 with sensitivity 81.8%,specificity 76.9%, positive predictive value 60.0% and negativepredictive value 90.0%.Conclusions SNAPPE II is a measurement of illness severity whichcorrelates well with neonatal mortality at NICU, Soetomo Hospital.The score of more than 30 is associated with higher mortality

ABSTRACT In this study, the characteristics of Love waves in viscoelastic vertical transversely isotropic layered media are investigated by finite-difference numerical modeling. The accuracy of the modeling scheme is tested against the theoretical seismograms of isotropic-elastic and isotropic-viscoelastic media. The correctness of the modeling results is verified by the theoretical phase-velocity dispersion curves of Love waves in isotropic or anisotropic elastic or viscoelastic media. In two-layer half-space models, the effects of velocity anisotropy, viscoelasticity, and attenuation anisotropy of media on Love waves are studied in detail by comparing the modeling results obtained for anisotropic-elastic, isotropic-viscoelastic, and anisotropic-viscoelastic media with those obtained for isotropic-elastic media. Then, Love waves in three typical four-layer half-space models are simulated to further analyze the characteristics of Love waves in anisotropic-viscoelastic layered media. The results show that Love waves propagating in anisotropic-viscoelastic media are affected by both the anisotropy and viscoelasticity of media. The velocity anisotropy of media causes substantial changes in the values and distribution range of phase velocities of Love waves. The viscoelasticity of media leads to the amplitude attenuation and phase velocity dispersion of Love waves, and these effects increase with decreasing quality factors. The attenuation anisotropy of media indicates that the viscoelasticity degree of media is direction dependent. Comparisons of phase velocity ratios suggest that the change degree of Love-wave phase velocities due to viscoelasticity is much less than that caused by velocity anisotropy.

The jam is a semi-solid food made from fruit or other processed product. The manufacturing process can add food additives (BTP), one of which is artificial sweeteners such as cyclamate. Cyclamate can be harmful to health if consumed in levels that exceed the maximum limit.The purpose of this research was to identificate and determine the cyclamate content of unbranded jam in the traditional market town of makassar. The type of research used is laboratory observation with simple random sampling technique. This research  was conducted qualitatively (depositional method) and quantitatively (gravimetric method). Based on the results of the research from 7 (seven) samples of unmerck jam there were 2 (two) positive samples containing cyclamate with cyclamate levels obtained, namely the K sample 0f 42.273,78 mg/kg and sample T3 of 49, 822. 67 mg/kg. In this study it can be concluded that 2 (two) samples of unbranded jam contained cyclamate levels that exceed the maximum limit set by BPOM No. 4 of 2014, namely 1000 mg/kg and so it is not safe for consumption.

Abstract The mechanical and petrophysical behavior of organic-rich carbonates (ORC) is affected significantly by burial diagenesis and the thermal maturation of their organic matter. Therefore, establishing Rock Physics (RP) relations and appropriate models can be valuable in delineating the spatial distribution of key rock properties such as the total organic carbon (TOC), porosity, water saturation, and thermal maturity in the petroleum system. These key rock properties are of most importance to evaluate during hydrocarbon exploration and production operations when establishing a detailed subsurface model is critical. High-resolution reservoir models are typically based on the inversion of seismic data to calculate the seismic layer properties such as P- and S-wave impedances (or velocities), density, Poisson's ratio, Vp/Vs ratio, etc. If velocity anisotropy data are also available, then another layer of data can be used as input for the subsurface model leading to a better understanding of the geological section. The challenge is to establish reliable geostatistical relations between these seismic layer measurements and petrophysical/geomechanical properties using well logs and laboratory measurements. In this study, we developed RP models to predict the organic richness (TOC of 1-15 wt%), porosity (7-35 %), water saturation, and thermal maturity (Tmax of 420-435⁰C) of the organic-rich carbonate sections using well logs and laboratory core measurements derived from the Ness 5 well drilled in the Golan Basin (950-1350 m). The RP models are based primarily on the modified lower Hashin-Shtrikman bounds (MLHS) and Gassmann's fluid substitution equations. These organic-rich carbonate sections are unique in their relatively low burial diagenetic stage characterized by a wide range of porosity which decreases with depth, and thermal maturation which increases with depth (from immature up to the oil window). As confirmation of the method, the levels of organic content and maturity were confirmed using Rock-Eval pyrolysis data. Following the RP analysis, horizontal (HTI) and vertical (VTI) S-wave velocity anisotropy were analyzed using cross-dipole shear well logs (based on Stoneley waves response). It was found that anisotropy, in addition to the RP analysis, can assist in delineating the organic-rich sections, microfractures, and changes in gas saturation due to thermal maturation. Specifically, increasing thermal maturation enhances VTI and azimuthal HTI S-wave velocity anisotropies, in the ductile and brittle sections, respectively. The observed relationships are quite robust based on the high-quality laboratory and log data. However, our conclusions may be limited to the early stages of maturation and burial diagenesis, as at higher maturation and diagenesis the changes in physical properties can vary significantly.
