Purpose This paper aims to develop a novel theoretical technology acceptance model, namely, for predicting acceptance of the trending technology of intelligent contracts (iContracts) in construction, which aims to integrate the data from emerging cyber-physical systems being introduced to the sector through the industry 4.0 revolution. This model includes main dimensions and critical contributing factors to assess the readiness for the iContract concept within the construction contract environment. Design/methodology/approach Through an extensive literature review, the structure of a unique theoretical technology acceptance model for iContract implementation, within construction, was developed iContract acceptance model (iCAM). Relevant themes were assessed through the lens of the technology acceptance model framework and the four accepted dimensions of the technology readiness index (TRI) concept. The main components of the model were examined with selected practitioners, with relevant experience and understanding of the iContract concept, with thematic mapping of the discussions correlated back to 12 specific iContract contributing constructs of the four adapted TRI dimensions. Findings The paper contributes to the body of knowledge by proposing a novel iCAM for a trending technology based on the specific requirements of iContract adoption. The interviews show that while the desire to digitalise the contractual environment exists, the readiness of the sector for such a disruptive change is unknown. Practical implications The findings and proposed conceptual iCAM offers a lens for the further development of the iContract concept by assisting practitioners to forecast digital readiness of the contract process in construction. Originality/value This study offers a unique and theoretical framework, in an embryonic field, for predicting the success of iContract implementation within construction organisations through the digital, industry 4.0 and revolution.

Era revolusi industry 4.0 mendorong perkembangan teknologi dengan konsep Internet of Thing (IoT), bentuk penerapan IoT adalah penggunaan dompet digital sebagai alat pembayaran dalam kebutuhan bertransaksi. Salah satu dompet digital yang tengah berkembang di kalangan masyarakat adalah aplikasi DANA, dimana DANA memberikan kemudahan bertransaksi dengan lebih cepat dan praktis, serta memungkinkan pengguna melakukan pembayara nontunai dan tanpa kartu untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Beberapa pengguna DANA mengeluhkan adanya permasalahan kegagalan verifikasi identitas pengguna. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis factor-faktor penerimaan dan penggunaan aplikasi DANA menggunakan pendekatan technology acceptance model TAM) dengan menambahkan variabel mobile payment charatcetistic sebagai variabel independent. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa mobile payment characteristic secara simultan memiliki pengaruh terhadap penerimaan dan penggunaan aplikasi DANA.

<p class="0abstract">With the availability of mobile devices capable of accessing the Internet in the Industry 4.0 era, M-learning methodology has been established. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model on technology adoption, this article analyses factors affecting the decision to use M-learning in Vietnam. The study used survey questionnaires with 238 students. The analysis shows to encourage students to choose to use M-learning is that educators need to pay attention to the design of appropriate courses to save time, improve learning efficiency, increase the mobility of learners and necessary introduce the convenience of courses to learners through many different channels.</p>

The m-Governance framework of auniversity aims to utilize the massive reach of mobile phones and harness the potential of mobile applications to enable easy and round the-clock access to the services of its affiliated institutions.  In the current mobile age there is need for transforming e-governance services to m-Governance as m-Governance is not a replacement for e-Governance rather it complements e-Governance. With this unparalleled advancement of mobile communication technologies, universities are turning to m-governance to realize the value of mobile technologies for responsive governance and measurable improvements to academic, social and economic development, public service delivery, operational efficiencies and active stakeholder engagement. In this context the present study, aims to develop and validate a m-governance framework of a university by extending Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with its prime stakeholders so called the Heads of the affiliated institutions. A survey instrument was developed based on the framework and it was administered with 20 Heads of the affiliated Institutions. The results also showed that the Heads of the affiliated Institutions expressed their favorableness towards m-governance adoption.

Tech-friendliness in this new era is an important quotient considered and the persons’ acceptance towards the technology frequency matters a lot. But still the frequency varies from person to person, this brought in the concept of Technology Acceptance Model given by Fred Davis in 1989. The theory of TAM is based on two theories that are Theory of Reasoned Action and Theory of Planned Behavior, TAM is extended version of these two. Green Banking is a new technology introduced by the banks that focuses on the growth of Sustainable development and Banking system too. Thus, banks ask their customers to use it or practice it in their daily life transactions. But every customer has their own point of view on the usage of Green banking. Thus, the research aims to understand the customers’ perception towards the Green Banking for this TAM is used. The research states that Perceived risk is the primary factor that is followed by perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use that impacts the decision to use green banking. Thus, the behavioral intention results in actual use of green banking usage for which people are trying to accept the new technology. So, the banks have earned points for creating awareness among their customers but still they have to work hard and clarify their customers’ problems and vanish that hitch that is stopping them to use green banking easily.
