Since the 1970s, a stretch of Broadway Avenue in Wichita, Kansas, has seen the growth of both Latino and Asian businesses. Using mapping, data analysis, and historical research, this study compares the growth of ethnic entrepreneurship between both populations. The results not only reveal similarities but also illustrate the degree to which ethnic entrepreneurship varies, depending on a population’s situation in a given location.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kebijakan pangan pada masa kepemimpinan presiden Soeharto dan Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Unit analisa data yang diambil berupa kepemimpinan Soeharto dan Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono serta kebijakan pangan, dengan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian sejarah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Studi dokumentasi. Kemudian, teknik analisa datanya terdiri dari: Heuristik, Kritik dan Analisis Saran, Interpretasi, dan Historiografi. Hasil penelitian dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa posisi kebijakan pangan pada masa kepemimpinan Soeharto dan Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono baru berada bada posisi ketahanan pangan, tidak bisa mencapai kemandirian atau bahkan kedaulatan pangan. Soeharto memiliki kebijakan Swasembada beras dan Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono memiliki kebijakan Revitalisasi Pertanian. Keduanya menggunakan strategi masing-masing dalam menjalankan kebijakan tersebut. Selain itu, terdapat pengaruh positif dan juga negatif dari kepemimpinan keduanya terhadap berjalannya kebijakan pangan. Kata kunci: Kebijakan, Pangan, Kepemimpinan, Soeharto, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Indonesia   ABSTRACT This study aims to identify comparative food policies during the presidency of President Soeharto and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The data analysis unit obtained is the management of Soeharto and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the nutritional guidelines taken. The type of research is historical research. Data collection techniques are the study documents. Then the data analysis techniques consist of heuristics, critique and analysis of suggestions, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study show that the position of food policy during the leadership of Soeharto and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is unable to achieve independence or even the sovereignty of food. Suharto has a policy of self-sufficiency in rice and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has a policy of reviving agriculture. Both have their own strategies in implementing the policy. This research provides information about the intellectual dynamics of dayah ulama Aceh. The goal is to find a common thread between tradition and modernization in dayah ulama Aceh scholarship. This research is a historical research using a social history approach. Based on the results of data analysis, the research results show that the role of the dayah is a realization of the intellectual manifestation of the dayah ulama Aceh. Dayah is used as a forum to teach various knowledge of Islamic teachings with a curriculum based on classical books or turats by maintaining the faith of experts in the sunnah wal jamaah. Based on the historical dynamic journey, dayah still exists as a fortress and a place for cadre generations to understand the teachings of Islam. So, Acehnese dayah intellectuals emphasize more on understanding classical books with actual contexts. So, the demands of the changing times provide its own dynamics to the intellectuals of the dayah ulama Aceh, but in this case the emphasis is that Islamic teachings through dayah continue to exist.

Background of research entitled The Concept of Holistic Education According to Muchlas Samani Thought and Its Implementation In Education System in Indonesia is the condition of education in Indonesia especially in holistic education. And Muchlas Samani is one of the educational activists who are concerned on this issue.This research has several objectives, the first is to know the meaning of holistic education according to Muchlas Samani. And the second is to know the implementation of holistic education on education system in Indonesia according to Muchlas Samani.This research is a historical research with a kind of biography. Data analysis used by researcher in this research is (1) review all data obtained from research about concept and practice of holistic education according to Muchlas Samani's thought, (2) to further reduce the data, (4) hereinafter the data collected and arranged according to the required category, (5) at the last stage, the researcher does the meaning of the research result obtained with the sentence which is easy to understand and still has relevance to the title, the purpose and the formulation of the existing problem.The results obtained from this research is holistic education according Muchlas Samani is a concept of education intact, not partial. What makes the Islamic values as the spirit and the subjects as a container. And has a goal to develop the potency possessed by learners in facing the futurenya. For implementation of holistic education in the education system in Indonesia according to Muchlas Samani is still lacking. This is because in the education system in Indonesia is still using the general curriculum.

It is well established that unique physiological information can be obtained by rapidly freezing cells in various functional states and analyzing the cell element content and distribution by electron probe x-ray microanalysis. (The other techniques of microanalysis that are amenable to imaging, such as electron energy loss spectroscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, particle induced x-ray emission etc., are not addressed in this tutorial.) However, the usual processes of data acquisition are labor intensive and lengthy, requiring that x-ray counts be collected from individually selected regions of each cell in question and that data analysis be performed subsequent to data collection. A judicious combination of quantitative elemental maps and static raster probes adds not only an additional overall perception of what is occurring during a particular biological manipulation or event, but substantially increases data productivity. Recent advances in microcomputer instrumentation and software have made readily feasible the acquisition and processing of digital quantitative x-ray maps of one to several cells.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of special education practitioners (i.e., speech-language pathologists, special educators, para-educators, and other related service providers) on their role as communication partners after participation in the Social Communication and Engagement Triad (Buckley et al., 2015 ) yearlong professional learning program. Method A qualitative approach using interviews and purposeful sampling was used. A total of 22 participants who completed participation in either Year 1 or Year 2 of the program were interviewed. Participants were speech-language pathologists, special educators, para-educators, and other related service providers. Using a grounded theory approach (Glaser & Strauss, 1967 ) to data analysis, open, axial, and selective coding procedures were followed. Results Three themes emerged from the data analysis and included engagement as the goal, role as a communication partner, and importance of collaboration. Conclusions Findings supported the notion that educators see the value of an integrative approach to service delivery, supporting students' social communication and engagement across the school day but also recognizing the challenges they face in making this a reality.
