At the present time, with the high reliability and performance of computer hardware, computer systems applied in any field must be judged more by the quality of the software provided. Thus it is highly relevant in an investigation of the use of computers in a field such as animal production, to concentrate on aspects of the software.Software provides the computer with the ability to obey instructions and to do as the user wishes. However, before arriving at these ‘machine instructions’ a number of steps have to be covered. First, it is essential to design the software — that is, to establish the requirements to be achieved on the computer. This design stage is followed by the implementation phase, in which the requirements as stated in English are transformed into such instructions as the machine can read and obey. The final phase is testing, in which it must be determined whether the requirements have been met, and to modify the design and iterate until the performance is satisfactory.Software in general can be divided into three classes — systems, utility and applications software. The systems software drives the machine and its associated peripherals such as a VDU and printer. The systems software also includes a file system for organization of the data on the relevant storage media (floppy disks, cartridges, magnetic tape). Also considered part of the systems software are the assembler, interpreters and compilers for high level languages such as BASIC and FORTRAN and for programming aids such as DEBUGGERS. Systems software is normally supplied with the computer and needs to be evaluated along with the hardware by any prospective purchaser of a computer system.

Performance is measured and done, the quality represents a key element to achieve the performance, especially customer service quality. In response to the pressure of globalization, the market increasingly competitive and volatile market dynamics that, many organizations actively seeking ways to add value to their services and improve their quality of service. Organizations usually tend to make their operations efficient priority. This process begins with the assessment of nevojave customers, their requirements and assessing the performance of domestic human resources in organization and performance depends on the outcome of the estimated earlier. Since this process can proceed in different directions. The causes of these results may be the lack of information and support of high-level management, performance standards unclear, inaccuracies assessors, very large number of forms to be completed and the use of software for the opposite purpose.

The conditions for high performance have changed considerably over the last few years. Athletes must spend more time training and competing, devote a lot of time to mental, physical and nutritional professionals and continue to respond to some constraints such as studying, spending time with their families, friends and quality of life. In this context and based on the work of Rosa, we wonder about the capacity of elite athletes to combine all these constraints, namely to manage the acceleration in their pace of life, in order to be able to achieve always more and better in the same time unit. To address this issue, we interviewed 42 French high-level athletes who train at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance (INSEP). Results show that to suit their goals, athletes implement arrangement and adjustment strategies aimed at making the time they have wholly useful and efficient. This time constraint puts athletes in a perpetual state of tension, on the verge of a good or poor life. The paper shows how the question of time, and particularly the acceleration of pace of life, is vital for modern sporting performance.

Purpose The Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) has still been found to offer services that do not comply with standards. The purpose of this paper is to ascertain competency in terms of the knowledge and skills of the EPI staff. Design/methodology/approach The research design was a mixed-methods approach. The quantitative method employed a questionnaire survey on the perceived competency of 382 EPI staffs from six regions in Thailand. This was paired alongside of the qualitative method, where four staffs were in-depth interviewed, and the performance of the EPI staffs was observed. Findings The overall perceived competency in the work of immunization was at a high level. A comparative analysis between the quantitative and qualitative data showed findings in three categories. First, the perception of competency was high, and performance conformed to standards in the preparation of the setting and equipment for providing the service; second, the perception of competency was high, but in the performance of their work the participants did not comply completely with standards for scheduling the immunization appointments or for vaccine storage; and third, the perception of competency was either moderate or low, and the performance of work was inadequate for vaccine estimations, registering reports, and dealing with adverse events following immunization. Originality/value The findings showed a gap between perception of knowledge-and-skill competency and actual practice in EPI service. Effective cooperation among involved organizations in order to improve the standard of performance in expanding the quality of EPI service provision in Thailand is suggested.

Chronic polyposis rhinosinusitis (CPRS) is an important medical and social problem due to its prevalence, combination with other diseases (bronchial asthma, cystic fibrosis), prolonged recurrent course, which leads to a decrease in the quality of life and performance of patients. Bronchopulmonary, rhinogenic orbital and intracranial complications arising against the background of chronic sinusitis not only worsen the quality of life of patients, but also sometimes lead to long-term disability, and sometimes to disability. The results of our study demonstrated that the distribution of the genotypes of polymorphisms of all genes corresponded to the expected, i.e., in this case, the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium is fulfilled in both groups. Both samples rs2243250 of the IL4 gene were characterized by high frequencies of the unfavorable C allele and the heterozygous T / C genotype, rs3212227 of the IL12B gene of the A allele and the heterozygous A / C genotype, rs1800895 592 C> A in the IL10 gene of the A, C alleles, and heterozygous C rs5743708 in the TLR2 gene of the C allele and the heterozygous C / T genotype, hence the high level of genetic variability of the studied genes.

In an environment with poor quality of Corporate Governance Mechanisms, the quality of directors’ attributes might exert an important role to improve firm’s value and performance. I developed an index to explore the quality of Board of Directors based on Brazilian and international corporate governance codes to measure directors qualitative attributes. The sample consist in 24 Brazilian firms that traded at NYSE in the period over 1999-2006. The results show us that board of directors with high types of attributes can improve value measured individually and by the quality index. The main results indicate that firm value improved with high types of professionals, accountants seated in boards, directors with high level of education and that participated in executive training. Objective: to study the basic quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease and their relationship, with different numbers formed arteriovenous fistula. Materials and methods. Interviewed 56patients, who are treated with chronic hemodialysis department. To study the quality of life used (KDQOL-SF ™). Also used a questionnaire that enables presence fistula determine the impact on quality of life of patients. Results. Using statistical method cluster analysis, made differentiation studied three groups - clusters, which differ in different levels of the indicators of QOL, namely «Patients middle-manifestation of physical and psychological indicators of QOL» – 40%, «Patients with low the manifestation of physical and psychological QOL parameters «- 25% of subjects, and» Patients with high level of physical and psychological manifestations of QOL performance «- 35% sample of of the patients. Based on statistical comparative analysis revealed differences between the estimated quality of life in men and women. Role functioning due to physical condition in women is slightly lowered than men. In women, there is a greater level of pain than men. Men overall higher rate their health than women. Men are characterized by a higher level of social functioning than women. Conclusions. Patients with chronic hemodialysis age have difficulties in physical functioning and performance of daily affairs. Mental health by increasing the biological age becomes stronger and fitter. His attitude to the presence of fistula in upper limb showing men and women equally, that they feel discomfort and limitations in performing daily routine. The more surgeries performed to form vascular access in patients, the occurrence characteristically uncomfortable sensations in all aspects of life

Historical novel translation requires an advanced competence of translator in relation with the translation quality: how accurate, clear, and readable the translator tries to deliver the writer’s original message to his/her translation version for the readers. The more accurate, clear, and readable the translator’s version is, the easier comprehension of the text will be. This paper was an outline of descriptive research which has been conducted to analyze the translation quality assessment in translating historical romance novel Taj: A Story of Mughal India into Taj: Tragedi Di Balik Tanda Cinta Abadi by Maria M. Lubis. There were three variables factors used; the two novels as objective factor, the translator as genetic factor, and the raters as affective factor to analyze, compare, rate, and score the translation quality. The sentences, clauses, phrases that consisted Indian cultural terms from the two novels were chosen as the data. From the analysis, it was found that the translation quality of this translated novel is accurate, high clear, and high readable obviously effected by an eligible translator who has high level competence and performance in translating the novel. Keywords: translation, historical romance novel, accuracy, clarity, and readability. This study describes a new approach based on fuzzy algorithm to suppress the current harmonic contents in the output of an inverter. Inverter system using fuzzy controllers provide ride-through capability during voltage sags, reduces harmonics, improves power factor and high reliability, less electromagnetic interference noise, low common mode noise and extends output voltage range. A feasible test is implemented by building a model of three-phase impedance source inverter, which is designed and controlled on the basis of proposed considerations. It is verified from the practical point of view that these new approaches are more effective and acceptable to minimize the harmonic distortion and improves the quality of power. Due to the complex algorithm, their realization often calls for a compromise between cost and performance. The proposed optimizing strategies may be applied in variable-frequency dc-ac inverters, UPSs, and ac drives.

As a result of the 1990 National Health Services Act, hospitals now compete with one another to win service contracts. A high level of service quality represents an important ingredient of a successful competitive strategy, yet, in general, hospitals have little external information on which to base quality decisions. Specifically, in their efforts to win contracts from fundholding general practitioners, hospitals require information on that which these purchasers deem important with respect to quality, and on how these purchasers assess the quality of their current service performance. The problem is complicated by the fact that hospital service quality, in itself, is multi-dimensional. In other areas of economic activity, the information problem has been resolved by importance-performance analysis and this paper reports the findings of such an analysis conducted for hospitals in the Trent region. The importance and performance service quality ratings of fundholders were obtained from a questionnaire survey and used in a particular variant of importance-performance analysis, which possesses certain advantages over more conventional approaches. In addition to providing empirical data on the determinants of service quality, as perceived by the purchasers of hospital services, this paper demonstrates how such information can be successfully employed in a quality enhancement strategy.
