We present an investigation of the galaxy distribution in the huge underdense region between the Hercules, Coma and Local Superclusters, the so-called Northern Local Void (NLV), using void statistics (for details refer to Lindner et al. this Volume). Reshift data for galaxies and poor clusters of galaxies are available in low and high density regions as well. Samples of galaxies with different morphological type and various luminosity limits have been studied separately and void catalogues have been compiled from three different luminosity limited galaxy samples for the first time. Voids have been found using the empty sphere method which has the potential to detect and describe subtle structures in the galaxy distribution. Our approach is complementary to most other methods usually used in Large–Scale Structure studies.

According to Chinas first census for water requirements, Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping measured the Kunming lake reservoir capacity for the first time. Combining with the application of measurement of Kunming Lake storage capacity with GPR, this paper give a method on city lake storage capacity measuring, and then analyses the feasibility of measurement with GPR, summary variety of advantages and disadvantages in this work. In the end, the paper give a lot of advice on Measurement of city lake storage capacity with GPR.

A nitro-decorated and highly porous metal–organic framework with NbO topology was reported, exhibiting good adsorption selectivity of CO2/CH4 (8) and CO2/N2 (24) at 273 K and 1 bar, high methane total uptake of 184 cm3 cm−3 at 290 K and 35 bar.

A mathematical model of atherosclerosis of a blood vessel is advanced with regard for the entry of low-density lipoproteins (LDLs) into blood. For the first time, the influence of cytokines on the inflammation of a blood vessel at the formation of atherosclerotic plaques is taken into account. With the help of the expansion in a Fourier series and the calculation of an invariant measure, the scenario of the appearance of strange attractors depending on a change in the parameter of the dissipation of cholesterol is studied. The conclusion is made about the interconnection of the dynamics of the metabolic process in a blood vascular system and its physical state.
