The stable and uninterrupted work of the energy sector enterprises largely determines the economic development of the country. At the same time, the reliability of energy systems and complexes depends on the technical condition of the energy transportation equipment. In this regard, there is an urgent need to monitor the technical condition of the equipment. Currently, there are various types of non-destructive testing used for diagnostics, but none of them is universal, and many of them only allow to find defects of a certain type. In this connection, there is a topical issue of improving the methods for assessing the technical condition of equipment during the transportation of energy carriers in energy systems and complexes. This paper presents an information and diagnostic complex that implements the proposed technical solution and tests the methodology.

The article deals with the conservation of cultural heritage objects due to their potential widespread deterioration. The suggestion to solve this problem is to create an integrated system for complex monitoring of cultural heritage objects technical condition. The stages of creating a realtime monitoring system with the choice of non-destructive testing methods, the necessary instruments, and tools, the result of which is the formation of a decision-making mechanism for a particular object, are proposed. Conducting monitoring by means of modeling allows predicting the behavior of structures and the building as a whole, taking into account the implementation of restoration measures.

Due to the long service life of a quayside container crane in an enterprise, there is slight corrosion on the surface of metal structure, which has potential safety hazard. In order to master the technical condition of the metal structure of the crane, the stress distribution and change information of the crane are obtained by dynamic and static stress testing and non-destructive testing. According to the analysis and test results, the safety assessment of the whole machine is completed and reasonable management suggestions are put forward.

The article presents some aspects of several years of work on the use of the vibroacoustic method (Non-Destructive Testing) for assessing a turboprop engine from a trainer aircraft. The functioning engine does not have an operating system for measuring vibration, and therefore the current levels of vibrations and its changes in trends are not known. In order to extend its service life, performing a number of works was required. On the basis of assessing the current state of the engine, opportunities for further exploitation were identified thus developing methodology for evaluating technical condition regarding the whole population. The paper shortly describes the object and equivalent tests on the engine. The article focuses on the methods prepared for extending life between overhauls required for turboprop engines and discusses the results received during their implementation.

Measurement of partial discharges (PD) is a generally accepted method of diagnosing the insulation of electrical equipment worldwide. Today, the trend is to move from conventional offline testing to online monitoring to predict the service life of insulation. For testing and calibration of the developed new methods with the contact method, a laboratory stand has been developed in accordance with GOST R 55191-2012 (IEC 60270:2000). The article suggests the use of acoustic and electromagnetic methods for a system of continuous non-contact non-destructive testing of the technical condition of insulation equipment, which will allow monitoring insulation equipment online and predicting its residual life. On their basis, a system of «on-line» diagnostics of high-voltage insulators has been developed.

Abstract The paper defines the essence of durability characteristics of the designing structure of an airframe in terms of flight safety. Particular attention is drawn to one of the main factors influencing the durability characteristics of the airframe – diagnostics system for the health assessment of the airframe during the process of operation. The effectiveness of the use of integrated solutions to the structure of the airframe providing a continuous assessment of the technical condition is presented. Continuous diagnostics system integrated with the airframe, SHM, is classified as an intelligent solution. This paper presents a model of the behavior of one-type aircraft operating in the air operator’s fleet in terms of susceptibility to failure. Justified assumption in the description of this behavior, in the form of a “bathtub curve”. The analysis is supported by real data of failures. The benefits of using a continuous diagnostics system integrated with the airframe, SHM, is interpreted in relation to the classical approach with the use of non-destructive testing, NDT, for the three phases of the bathtub curve.

Over a long period of operation, under the influence of corrosion and stresses from the acting forces, metal structures lose their strength. There is a need for their periodic non-destructive testing. The development of new methods is relevant in the field of control of building metal structures, such as bridge structures, structures of building cranes and other mechanical engineering products. The applied methods should be reliable and should not require huge material and labor costs. In this work, informational relationships between acoustic characteristics and parameters of metal microstructure are established. The proposed method can be useful for specialists and experts in the field of monitoring the technical condition of metal products requiring non-destructive testing. The safety of the operated objects depends on the accuracy of the applied criteria, as well as the degree of resource saving due to the full use of the product resource.

AbstractAspects of assessing the technical condition of selected elements of the kinematic system in the renovation of RD-33 engines have been presented. In the beginning, typical operational problems have been discussed, and the test object was defined. Then, the theoretical foundations of three non-destructive testing methods based on magnetic field measurement were discussed. Next, the preliminary results of the research of a defective gear obtained by the magnetic metal memory method are presented. Finally, the conclusions have been made.

The article deals with the issues of inspection and evaluation of the technical condition of power metal structures of systems and units of the launch complexes at the cosmodrome Plesetsk. An analysis of specific features of operation of metal structures at the cosmodrome’s launch complexes and the main types of defects occuring in these structures is carried out. The methods and means of non-destructive testing used in the inspection of the metal structures and assemblies are described. These methods can help to identify defects at the early stages of development, plan and take timely measures to eliminate the defects and reduce the risk of sudden failures of the systems and units. The article provides practical examples of the survey results using the methods and means of non-destructive testing of metal structures of systems and units of the launch complexes 17P32 and 14P25.
