This study proposes an image colour analysis tool that could help graphic/product designers to understand colour distribution and colour appearance of a series product. The analysis method is in accordance with the CIELab uniform colour space created by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) in 1976. Based on the analysis method used in a previous study of the oil paintings, 370 oil paintings were analysed. The results demonstrated that using simple colour difference formula could reveal the images’ numerical colour distribution (Tsai, 2019). The focus of this study is twofold: to understand the colour appearance of product design and to check the rationality and reliability of the analysis tool. The analysis tool this study proposes could also be useful in providing the product designers with easy analysis and understanding of the colour distribution of images.

As CIEDE2000 standard has developed the colour difference formula, the colour difference formula of compared colours in similar colour space has been evaluated and emphasized in this paper. The lightness difference effective term has been distinctively separated from the small informative colourdifference of CIEDE2000. In addition, the power of the lightness difference effective term can clearly magnify the lightness difference which illustrated categorized surfaces of the lightness difference effective term for total colour differences in the CIEDE2000 standard. All projected four categories are classified by compared image colour pixels based on the colour space’s three forward transform functions of the lightness of the colour, the chroma between red/magenta and green, and the chroma between yellow and blue. Results show that the lightness difference effective term gives mainly three different surfaces in four categories. Furthermore, in first category, the most two maximum statistical frequencies can be expressed with the left side along with the right side of the probability mass function of the lightness difference effective term; in third category, the obvious maximum statistical frequency can be expressed with only the left side of the probability mass function; and in second and fourth categories, the maximum statistical frequency can be expressed most absolutely with the left side of the probability mass function.

A perceptual study was conducted to enhance colour image quality in terms of naturalness and preference using perceptual scales of saturation and vividness. Saturation scale has been extensively used for this purpose while vividness has been little used. We used perceptual scales of a recently developed colour appearance model based on Jzazbz uniform colour space. A two-fold aim of the study was (i) to test performance of recently developed perceptual scales of saturation and vividness compared with previously used hypothetical models and (ii) to compare performance and chose one of saturation and vividness scales for colour image enhancement in future. Test images were first transformed to Jzazbz colour space and their saturation and vividness were then decreased or increased to obtain 6 different variants of the image. Categorical judgment method was used to judge preference and naturalness of different variants of the test images and results are reported.

Two colour appearance models based UCSs, CAM16-UCS and ZCAM-QMh, were tested using HDR, WCG and COMBVD datasets. As a comparison, two widely used UCSs, CIELAB and ICTCP, were tested. Metrics of the STRESS and correlation coefficient between predicted colour differences and visual differences, together with local and global uniformity based on their chromatic discrimination ellipses, were applied to test models' performance. The two UCSs give similar performance. The luminance parametric factor kL, and power factor γ, were introduced to optimize colour-difference models. Factors kL and γ of 0.75 and 0.5, gave marked improvement to predict the HDR dataset. Factor kL of 0.3 gave significant improvement in the test of WCG dataset. In the test of COMBVD dataset, optimization provide very limited improvement.

Various problems of migrant workers and their alleged different coverage on various media are the background of this research. This study focused on 131 news items on migrant workers' issues in Saudi Arabia in the online newspapers Detikcom and Sabq.org, with details of Detikcom 64 news and Sabq.org 67 as samples, with the aim of finding out how Detikcom and Sabq.org cover Indonesian migrant workers in Saudi Arabia and the difference in coverage of both. The content analysis method was chosen as an analysis tool with Codingsheet as a data collection technique and chi-square as a different test tool. The findings of this study are that there is uniformity of coverage on news about migrant workers in Saudi Arabia at Detikcom and Sabq.org with several categories of significant differences.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of compensation on job satisfaction mediated by job satisfaction. The object of research at PT ISS Cikarang. The research was conducted using quantitative methods with SEM Smart PLS software as an analysis tool. The number of samples obtained by using a random sampling technique using the Slovin formula totaled 97 respondents. Data collection was carried out using google form in filling out online surveys. The data analysis method used is the R-square test, Bootstrapping, Path Coefficient, and Specific indirect effects. The results of this study indicate that compensation has an effect on employee performance, compensation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction affects employee performance, job satisfaction is able to provide a positive influence in mediating the relationship between compensation and employee performance in PT ISS Cikarang.

The purpose of this study is to know the influence between sales promotion to purchase decisions, to know the influence between the quality of service to purchasing decisions, to know the influence between brand trusts on purchasing decisions. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression using SPSS 25 analysis tool. The object of the research in this study was indihome customers of Ciputat region as many as 100 people with random sampling techniques (probability sampling). The results of the analysis stated that partially sales promotion affects purchasing decisions, partially the quality of service services affects purchasing decisions and partially brand trusts affect purchasing decisions, simultaneously (sales promotion, service quality and brand trust) affect purchasing decisions. Concluded in this study is sales promotion influences the decision to use Indihome, the quality of service influences the decision to use Indihome, brand trust influences the decision to use Indihome, simultaneously the promotion of sales of services and brand trust influences the decision to use Indihome.

Micro speakers are playing an increasingly important role with the development of multimedia devices. This study applies the lumped-parameter method, which uses an equivalent circuit to model the electromagnetic and mechanical domains. The acoustic domain is modeled using the finite element method. Based on the analysis tool, the use of a screen is analyzed, and the screen is designed to depress the acoustic resonance in the sound-pressure-level curve and improve the performance. The samples are fabricated, and the experiment verifies the analysis method. The experimental result shows that the peak and dip due to the standing wave are cancelled, and the frequency response is smooth when the screen is used.

With the development of multimedia devices, earphones are playing an increasingly important role. This article applies the lumped parameter method using an equivalent circuit to model the electromagnetic, mechanical, and acoustic domains of earphones. Then, parameters are determined according to the dimensions and material properties of earphone parts. On the basis of the analysis tool and determined parameters, a Helmholtz protector is analyzed and designed to improve the high-frequency response. Samples are fabricated, and the experiment verifies the analysis method. The experimental result shows that the peaks at 7 k and 10 k are decreased at 8.05 dB and 7.89 dB. The root means square value of SPL deviation compared with target curve decreased from 9.77 to 4.39. High-frequency response is improved by using the Helmholtz protector.
