Various sectors have been affected by the Covid-l9 pandemic, including education. Many institutions have not yet applied face-to-face learning in full to prevent the transmission of the virus. The aims of this study are (1) to examine the motivation of EAP learners to learn IELTS in online and offline classes during a pandemic on an English course, and (2) to identify changes in student motivation during the learning process that are affected by the pandemic situation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a sampling technique in which students are sampled randomly. As many as 10 students have been taken as participants. Furthermore, a questionnaire has been used as a data collection method, and it has been shared through Google Forms. It consists of 25 statements divided based on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The result of it has been classified based on four learning motivation aspects by Gowing’s theory. Overall, the findings revealed that three of the four aspects of learning motivation are medium-level (49,4%) in this case. In conclusion, there is no substantial motivation for EAP pupils in the English learning process, specifically for IELTS in online and offline sessions, for an ongoing pandemic.

This research was conducted because HOTS is a significant factor in achieving the learning process in accordance with the 2013 curriculum, HOTS is a solution that students become active and participatory in the learning process, teachers not only explain learning in front of the class, but students must be more active to describe the problems that were found during learning, therefore, the researcher wanted to investigate how the HOTS process was implemented in teaching English at X grade of  MTI Pasia in the 2019/2020 school year. The purpose of this research to know how the English teacher at X grade of MTI Pasia apply HOTS in Teaching english process, especially in developing productive and receptive skills according to the level of critical thinking.This type of this research was a qualitative descriptive study, the instruments of this study were documentation (document analysis) and observation sheets to collected the data. The subjects in this study was X grade English teachers at MTI Pasia in the 2019/2020 academic year. The results of this study obtained from the document analysis and observation sheets found that, the English teacher at  X  gradeof MTI pasia did not apply HOTS in teaching English and learning process. The English teacher only applied HOTS to the learning design, it was not apply to the process in learning, this happened not because it was caused by online learning due to COVID 19 pandemic, but it was happened because the teacher did not encourage learning to be effective during thepandemic, the teacher should still be able to improved the learning process using technological advances,even though it was still a long of perfection than face-to-face learning.

The purpose of this study was to determine and describe in detail the management of LKP during the pandemic. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. This study uses interview data collection techniques, observation, and documentation. Data validity checking used time triangulation, subject triangulation and technical triangulation. The result of the research was that in the process of curriculum adjustment involving Mrs. Rosilah as the head of the LKP, Mr. Erwin as the curriculum organizer and Mrs. Leni Susanti as the tutor, curriculum adjustments were made in the form of dividing study groups into 2x a week, there was no change in instructors in the learning process, changes working hours in accordance with face-to-face changes, and the application of health protocols in the face-to-face learning process and during the implementation of competency exams.

This study aims to find out a brief history of the history of Muhammadiyah education in Tulangan, Sidoarjo, learning strategies, analyzing the courageous learning process, supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers in carrying out learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a very big impact on education, especially in the learning process that was initially carried out directly but is now converted into courageous learning. Students are required to be accustomed to less effective courage. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan. This research used This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. By taking sound recordings during the interview process. Learning strategies are carried out in order to achieve learning objectives which are expected to establish good communication between teachers, students and also guardians of students. As for some of the supporting factors for teachers in the learning process, namely the number of cellphones, quotas, and stable internet networks. And the inhibiting factor is not being able to meet face to face directly which makes students not focus on receiving online learning.

This study is aimed at identifying English learning motivation and English proficiency achievement. Then, the researcher would like to see the correlation between the students’ motivation and their English proficiency achievement. The research was designed as quantitative correlation. Here, a total of 77 students were asked to complete the motivation questionnaire and set in a TOEFL test. The result of this research revealed that the English learning motivation of the students was in ‘high’ category. This can be seen from the grand total of mean 3.59 which indicated high intrinsic motivation as the dominant motivation. While, the scores of English proficiency achievement indicates that the students had ‘medium’ level of English Proficiency, the range score of medium level is 400-499. Another result showed that there was a significant correlation between English learning motivation and English proficiency achievement. It can be proven by rcount (0.346) > rtable (0.224), 5% level of significance; there was a correlation between students with intrinsic motivation and their English proficiency achievement, rcount (0.348) > rtable (0.233); while there was no correlation between students with extrinsic motivation and their English proficiency achievement, rcount (0.307) < rtable (0.811). It means that the correlation between English learning motivation and English proficiency achievement was in ‘weak’ level.

This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of using the blended learning strategy in Math online learning via WhatsApp and zoom. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained indicate that online learning using the WhatsApp and zoom application with the blended learning strategy during the Covid-19 pandemic can provide more enjoyable learning so as to increase student enthusiasm and activity. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the use of the blended learning strategy affects online math learning via WhatsApp and zoom can be an alternative in online biology learning via Whatsapp in conditions that do not allow face-to-face learning

Abstract Sistem pembelajaran yang diberlakukan pada masa pandemi Covid-19 berubah. Hal ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk adaptasi agar pembelajaran tetap dapat dilaksanakan tanpa membuat kerumunan yang berpotensi memperluas penyebaran virus. Sistem pembelajaran berbasis daring merupakan cara yang dipilih pemerintah. Sebab pembelajaran ini dapat dilaksanakan dari rumah masing-masing. Dalam pembelajaran daring terdapat karakteristik yang berbeda dibandingkan pembelajaran tatap muka, dimana menuntut siswa untuk mengembangkan kemandirian belajar dan memanfaatkan waktu sebaik mungkin untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran juga menyelesaikan beban tugas yang diberikan. Selain itu kondusifitas lingkungan belajar siswa perlu diperhatikan agar siswa dapat fokus ketika mengikuti pembelajaran. Untuk itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif agar dapat menjelaskan fenomena atau masalah yang ada khususnya di lokasi penelitian yaitu SMA Laboratorium UM. Abstrak The learning system that was implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic changed. This is done as a form of adaptation so that learning can still be carried out without making crowds that have the potential to expand the spread of the virus. The online-based learning system is the way the government has chosen. Because this learning can be carried out from their respective homes. In online learning, there are different characteristics compared to face-to-face learning, which requires students to develop independent learning and make the best time management to carry out learning as well as complete the assigned task load. In addition, the conduciveness of the student learning environment needs to be considered so that students can focus when participating in learning. For this reason, this research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method in order to explain the phenomena or problems that exist, especially at the research location, namely SMA Laboratorium UM.

<p>The purpose of this study is to find learners’ perceptions of online English learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has made closure to schools and universities all over the world and online learning is a way of constraining the spread of COVID-19 virus. The study used a descriptive method by surveying 108 students from Management and Informatics programs of Institut Bisnis &amp; Informatika Kosgoro 1957 (IBI K57). The data were collected through questionnaires by instruments consisting of learners’ perceptions about the effectiveness of learning English online, the accessibility of internet during English online learning, the technical performance of lecturers to teach English online, and the level of difficulty of language skills to learn online. The validity of the questionnaire was tested by using expert opinions. The results of the study indicated shifting face-to-face learning to online learning particularly for English classes is also an effective way during the pandemic, the accessibility of the internet in online learning, it is an important factor should exist during learning activities, the students assumed positively that most lecturers know how to teach English online learning by using online platforms used in IBI K57, and the learners perceived that listening section is the most difficult skill to learn in online English class. The study implied that online learning is an important alternative way to help teaching and learning in the situation of the pandemic, it considers using proper technology, quality, and instructors’ competence to enhance and to encourage learners engaged in online learning environment.</p>

Laboratory is one of the important facilities and infrastructure in the learning process, especially Vocational Higher Education which has a larger practical curriculum than theory. The COVID-19 pandemic that is happening in the world makes learning in higher education implemented online. However, vocational colleges in the health sector find it difficult to carry out practical learning without meeting face to face. This study aims to determine the application of health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in practical learning at the Poso Midwifery Laboratory. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data were collected by filling out questionnaires and in-depth interviews with several samples. The results of this study indicate that the application of health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is quite good with details of the student aspects of 98.6%, laboratory staff aspects of 99.2%, lecturers' aspects of 100%, management aspects of 98.9%, and facility aspect of 96.4.%.
