Laboratory of Microbiology which is part of Basic Laboratory System in Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences University of Lambung Mangkurat have commonly used as a place of various activities both science academic practice and research. This laboratory also provides analysis for samples and production. Microbial culture plays important rule in practical science of microorganism. Thus, continuous culture and preservation are highly required. Preservation and re-culture of microbes in the laboratory recently  using short-term preservation and periodic re-culture to a new medium, so it is necessary to conduct research on microbial preservation, especially molds with certain preservation techniques using different media. Colletotrichum capsici and Prycularia oryzae isolates were used in this study. The two molds were stored using different mediums: tapioca, 50% PDB + glycerol, and 50% PDB + liquid paraffin with a preservation period up to 1-3 months. The preserved mold was then cultured onto PDA medium to see its viability. The results of preservation of Colletotrichum capsici for 1-3 months using 3 different types of medium showed that 50% of liquid PDB-paraffin medium had the best viability compared to tapioca medium and 50% PDB-glycerol. Prycularia oryzae preserved for 1-3 months using tapioca medium, 50% PDB-glycerol, and 50% liquid PDB-paraffin cannot grow back.

Inside a Computer Laboratory, AC is a tool needed to cool the room. But its use is sometimes we often forget to turn off the air conditioner after completed practicum. So that the Pranata Laboratorium Pendidikan (PLP) must check one by one the AC in each laboratory whether it has been turned off or not. This leads to wasteful use of electricity and reduce the service life of the air conditioner. In this research method, we build tools that control and monitor the air conditioning remotely through a Website site. This tool uses an Arduino as a microcontroller, nodemcu for Internet conection adapter, an infrared sensor to send commands to the air conditioner and the light sensor to determine the condition of the AC on or off. Conclusions obtained by this tool computer lab technicians do not need to go into any Laboratory for make sure the AC is turned on or off.By accessing this Websitesite, technicians can control the AC remotely and also monitor the condition of the AC on or off.

The limitations of the production laboratory in the form of providing tools can hinder turning activities. Based on the competency test scores in the basic machining practicum for the 2018/2019 academic year, it was found that there were still many UPI FPTK DPTM students who did not pass the competency test by 82% (23 people). This indicates that students still have difficulty turning. Student difficulties include the ability to produce work objects that do not exceed tolerance limits and the ability to take the time set in each turning work. The purpose of this study is to design a tool called Emergency Stick Level (ESL) which is used in the basic plus type 100809 lathe. The design of the Emergency stick level (ESL) includes the manufacture of butterfly nuts, stick level stoper), springs (springs), ESL housing (ESL body) and connecting nuts (extention nut). Aluminum was chosen as the basic material for making Emergency stick level (ESL) because it is easy to shape and corrosion resistant. The conclusion is that the presence of the Emergency stick level (ESL) makes it easier for UPI FPTK DPTM students to turn

Lighting planning in a laboratory room is one of the factors in designing to produce good and energy efficient lighting. To carry out all activities in the room of a laboratory, sufficient lighting intensity is needed, so that it can be carried out optimally, especially with regard to practicum work carried out in the laboratory for the benefit of the learning process. In terms of quality, lighting in a room is in the form of strong lighting or illumination level. The purpose of this research is to design, identify and evaluate the recommended lighting intensity / quality with the lighting standards from the existing lamp data installed in the electrical and measurement laboratory. The results of the measurement research for the Electrical Machinery and Measurement Laboratory obtained that the average light intensity for the work point of the practicum table is 127 lux, so that the light intensity is still low according to the SNI 16 - 7062 - 2004 standard with a measuring point of even lighting distribution obtained by 137 lux. If the light intensity of a laboratory is not fulfilled, it will result in inconvenience for students in carrying out the measurement practice, especially for practicum electrical circuits by calculating the value of the ring resistor. For this reason, the intensity of lighting in the laboratory room must be designed to meet the recommended lighting standards for a laboratory, namely 300 lux, namely by adding the number of 8 points of TL Philips Lifemark 36W / 54-765 lamps,or 8 points of 25 W / 2600 lumens LED lamps, or 6 Philips CLF 55 W / 3465 lumen type light point.

In the foundry laboratory at Bandung Polytechnic for Manufacturing, there is a student practicum program where the student learns several molding methods that are often used. One of these methods is a vertical pouring method. This is a one of mold method in the foundry process where the object is positioned vertically (vertically) with the inlet position either at the bottom of the object or at the top of the object. In this experiment using the vertical pouring method with direct pouring from a top. This method is usually used for objects that are plate shaped or cylindrical. The advantage of this method can control shrinkage and minimizes the mold area. In the process, where the object will be made in limited quantities, the mold is tied and buried in sand. The problems are processing time is longer than Cup and Drug molds, and wears a lot of sand. For this reason, a tool for clamping vertical molds is designed. This tool is expected to reduce use of sand, and reduce processing time. This tool is made of steel. vertical pouring method becomes more effective and efficient by using clamps

The occurrence of various disruptions and damage to equipment and electrical installations begins with a significant temperature increase in it. The temperature increasing in electrical equipment and installations will also increase the consumption of energy or power required. Previous technology used a temperature sensor and current sensor which had to be installed in the environment to be monitored. The temperature measurement system without touching the surface which is measured using infrared rays is a new breakthrough that really helps maintenance and repair. Also with the existence of a temperature sensor arranged in an array, it can map the existing temperature so that it can provide a better picture for analyzing the symptoms that  occur, compared  to using a temperature sensor that measures one point only. A temperature imaging camera is currently very expensive, making procurement a bit difficult for laboratories dealing with electrical equipment and installations. In this research, we will try to make an inexpensive temperature imaging camera using the MLX90640 sensor and the ESP32 microcontroller. Bicubic interpolation is used to  enlarge the resulting image obtained  by the MLX90640 sensor. The MATLAB program is   used to simulate and create an overall temperature imaging camera system. Tested and compared with two other interpolation methods to ensure that bicubic interpolation can produce better magnified images.
