This study aims to analyze and explain the effect of human resource competence, the use of information technology, and the application of government accounting standards on the quality of the financial statements of vocational higher education institutions in East Java. This study uses quantitative methods with research instruments using questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the application of IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The results of this study indicate that the competence of human resources, the use of information technology, and the application of government accounting standards have a significant positive effect on the quality of the financial statements of vocational higher education institutions in East Java.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis model kebijakan pembelajaran pada pendidikan tinggi vokasi pasca pandemi Covid-19. Tantangan atas kebijakan pembelajaran ke depan harus mampu mengadaptasi kebiasaan baru dalam proses pembelajaran pendidikan tinggi vokasi yang khas dengan teknologi terapan yang berbasis skill dan kompetensi dengan memprioritaskan kesehatan dan keselamatan, khususnya bagi sivitas akademika. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode analisis konten kebijakan (content  policy analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa analisis kebijakan existing pembelajaran pada Program Pendidikan Vokasi Universitas Brawijaya pada masa pandemi dan transisi (penyiapan) pasca pandemi dapat dikategorikan dengan pendekatan model kebijakan inkremental. Model kebijakan pembelajaran di Program Pendidikan Vokasi Universitas Brawijaya dalam bentuk pembelajaran teori, praktik dan magang didapati bahwa dinamika produk kebijakan baik tataran makro, messo dan mikro yang dibuat secara incremental. Hal ini menunjukkan hasil yang acapkali memadai dalam konteks keterbatasan sumberdaya namun akan terjadi perubahan yang cepat pula manakala didadapati situasi dan kondisi yang menutut perubahan. Sebagai konsekuensi bahwa pembelajaran dihadapkan pada kualitas yang yang kurang optimal. Dalam perspektif inkremental, perubahan dalam rangka adaptasi masa pandemi menghadapi ketidaksiapan dalam peralihan pembelajaran digital dan jarak jauh. Penelitian ini  merekomendasikan adanya model kebijakan pembelajaran pendidikan tinggi vokasi berdimensi holistik dan demokratis, yang salah satunya dengan menggunakan pendekatan model kebijakan deliberatif (kolaboratif).

Some studies have been undertaken to decide the impact of hybrid learning on outcomes in higher education settings, with findings indicating that hybrid learning increases student performance more than distant learning or normal face-to-face instruction. This paper focuses on the students’ perspective on the impact of hybrid learning-based instruction in teaching English for Business Communication in Vocational Higher Education of Indonesia. This study is ex post facto research that aims to find the causes that allow changes in behavior, symptoms, or phenomena caused by an event, behavior, or things that cause changes in the independent variables which have occurred. This study employed a case study using students’ reflection journals and online questionnaires to seventy-five students of Business English for Communication class of the Vocational Higher Education in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Data were analyzed descriptively. In analyzing the data, the researcher used thematic analysis and content analysis. Data analysis steps are data familiarization, generating initial codes, searching for themes, reviewing themes, defining and naming themes, and producing the report. This study showed that students perceived the hybrid learning improved students’ technology competence, collaboration participation, and engagement, motivation, self-confidence. The impact of hybrid learning in teaching English for Business Communication can be categorized into three highly impacted, moderately impacted, and lowly impacted on students, attitude, skills and competence, and motivation. This study claims that the more positive students are toward hybrid learning education in the classroom, the higher their English for Business Communication performance. This research improves scholarly understanding of hybrid learning instruction in Indonesian Vocational Higher Education when teaching English for Business Communication.

The demands of changes in the global era have made vocational higher education have a strategic role and are at the forefront in handling the age of the workforce. Vocational higher education is programmed to produce graduates who have mastery of science and technology, are independent, skilled and trained in accordance with the demands of the industrial world or the world of work. The learning outcomes are needed as capital in facing regional and global competition. One of the strategies for decision-making in the development of maritime vocational higher education that was developed to be able to maintain its existence and be more developed in order to produce graduates who are in accordance with the times so that it must have a strategy to achieve it, namely by using the SWOT matrix method approach and the QSPM matrix. Based on the results of the SWOT matrix data processing and the QSPM matrix, it can be concluded that the Director can make a decision to open a new study program, rather than building a new campus which takes longer, with the consequence that new study programs S2 and S3 study in the afternoon while waiting for the construction of a new campus as a the second alternative.

The COVID-19 pandemic has compelled higher education institutions to implement online learning provisions, however, within vocational education, the primary use of online learning may not satisfactorily allow students to achieve competency in practical skills. The blended learning approach offers an incredible solution to this and produces new opportunities to not just build but innovate towards the future.

This study aimed to determine the influence of psychological impact that consist of depression, anxiety, and stress in students due to online learning in vocational higher education conducted during the Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on student’s academic achievement. The samples in this study were 180 students of the Undergraduate Program Department of Commercial Administration of Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis. The Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique focused solely on students who gained online learning in theory and practice courses since the use of online learning because of the COVID-19. The Data was collected using a DASS 42 instrument through online questionnaire. The results of this study showed that the psychological impact of depression, anxiety, and stress experienced by students because online learning does not have a partial significant effect but simultaneously affects academic achievement. Psychological impact contributed only 5.7% while the remaining 94.3% was influenced by other factors

The Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique focused solely on students who gained online learning in theory and Practice courses since the use of online learning because of the COVID-19. The Data was collected using a DASS 42 instrument through online questionnaire. The results of this study showed that online learning in the higher education of psychologically impactful, which resulted in 29% of students having a level of depression above normal, 70% of students had an anxiety level above normal, and 46% of students had a stress level above normal.

Vocational higher education has a strategic role and is at the forefront in handling the age of the workforce and educating them into skilled, professional, and highly competitive persons who will enhance the nation's competitiveness. This study aims to formulate a design model for the development of a vocational hospitality curriculum based on local wisdom for students of the Tourism Department. The vocational curriculum development model will be highly useful for determining measures or policies to improve the quality of human resources hospitality industry fields. The research method used is research and development, which includes a descriptive method, action research, and experimentation. This curriculum development model emphasizes the development of broader methods of not only how to teach but also how to build students’ character.

Laboratory is one of the important facilities and infrastructure in the learning process, especially Vocational Higher Education which has a larger practical curriculum than theory. The COVID-19 pandemic that is happening in the world makes learning in higher education implemented online. However, vocational colleges in the health sector find it difficult to carry out practical learning without meeting face to face. This study aims to determine the application of health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in practical learning at the Poso Midwifery Laboratory. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data were collected by filling out questionnaires and in-depth interviews with several samples. The results of this study indicate that the application of health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is quite good with details of the student aspects of 98.6%, laboratory staff aspects of 99.2%, lecturers' aspects of 100%, management aspects of 98.9%, and facility aspect of 96.4.%.
