The introduction of information and digital technologies that support and support all technological processes in the field is an urgent need for the development and implementation of such technology. An organisationally complex and financially intensive project is necessary because of the wide variety of economic entities that differ in the size of production, forms of ownership and socio-economic conditions of production. Automated information control system for mobile units agricultural enterprise provides those-Niko-economic performance, optimum capacity utilization through the use of timely and reliable information on technology. Machine and tractor aggregates are appertained as control objects with variable structure, which is explained by possibility of the system formation from tractor or field machines mobile units with various purposes: tillable, cultivatable, sowing, harvesting and etc. This MTA feature was determined creation of digital control systems of two groups of automatic control and management of the basic energy and operational parameters: tractors, machines and vehicles as part of MTA. To the first group are appertained the automatic control system of tractor motor component loading, motion speed, frictional sliding. To the second group – automatic regulation system of operating depth, seed rate, treatment of liquid combined fertilizers and crop protection agents, filling and driving of various MTA. Novelty of researches consists in methodology of the organization of the centralized control and management of various technological processes at carrying out field works.

The aim of this paper is to present some results of bacterial studies which were developed by IFREMER in coastal discharge areas of urban wastewaters; they are focused on the determination of bacterial inputs by wastewater treatment plants, the role of environmental factors on the enteric bacteria survival in the coastal zone, and the modelling of bacteria transport and disappearance in order to provide useful management information for minimizing faecal pollution in the coastal zone.

The paper presents a numerical modeling study aimed at a preliminary assessment of the impact of the planned sea outfall of the city of Limassol, Cyprus, on the waters of Akrotiri bay. First the local meteorological and oceanographic conditions as well as the loading characteristics are briefly reviewed. Two-dimensional finite element hydrodynamic and dispersion models are subsequently applied to the study area. The results of the former show an eastbound flow pattern under the prevailing westerly winds, in general agreement with available field observations. The spread of BOD and N under continuous loading is then examined for eastward as well as for westward flow as an indicator for the extent of pollution to be expected. The computed concentrations are generally low and confined to the shallower parts of the bay.

Hepatitis A virus (HAV) is a waterborne pathogen of public health importance. In South Africa (SA), unique HAV subgenotype IB strains have been detected in surface and wastewater samples, as well as on fresh produce at the point of retail. However, due to the use of molecular-based assays, the infectivity of the detected strains was unknown. Considering the potential shift of HAV endemicity from high to intermediate, which could increase the risk of severe symptomatic disease, this study investigated the identity of HAV strains detected before and after viability treatment of selected wastewater discharge samples. For one year, 118 samples consisting of sewage, treated wastewater discharge and downstream dam water were collected from five wastewater treatment plants (WWTP 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5). Unique HAV IB strains were detected in samples from all five WWTPs, with 11 of these strains carrying amino acid mutations at the immunodominant and neutralisation epitopes. A quasispecies dynamic of HAV has also been detected in sewage samples. The subsequent application of viability PCR revealed that potentially infectious HAV strains were discharged from WWTP 1, 2, 4 and 5 into the dam. Therefore, there is a potential risk of HAV exposure to communities using water sources downstream the WWTPs.

We examined the relationships among psychological empowerment, emotional labor strategies, and job burnout of frontline hotel employees with reference to conservation of resources theory and the job demands–resources model. A sample of 414 employees from a Chinese chain hotel was recruited to take part in this study. There was a significant negative correlation between psychological empowerment and job burnout for these frontline hotel employees. Furthermore, the emotional labor strategies of deep acting and automatic regulation played partial mediating roles in the relationship between psychological empowerment and job burnout, which has implications for the development of intervention mechanisms and work practices for addressing burnout.

Abstract This study is related to distribution temperature sensing (DTS) in sewers for tracing illicit or unintended inflows to foul sewers. A DTS measurement is performed with a fiber optic cable that is installed at the invert of a sewer pipe in combination with a standalone laser/computer instrument. This set-up generates in-sewer temperature measurements with high resolutions in time (every minute) and space (every metre) along the cable over long periods of time (weeks on end). The prolonged monitoring period in combination with the high level of detail in the dataset allows the study of anomalies (i.e., unexpected temperatures and/or temperature variations at certain locations), even if these only occur very infrequently. The objective of this paper is to develop an automated tool to analyze the large data masses and identify anomalies caused by illicit or unintended inflows. In this study, an algorithm for detecting the temperature changes that are caused by both wastewater discharge and inflow of stormwater are developed. A comparison of the results of the automated procedure to the results of a manual assessment of the datasets (Elmehaven, Denmark) shows that the automated procedure performs very well.
