Mobile phones are now popular in current society for its portability and intelligence, but excluded from life of the hearing-impaired because sounds are unavailable for them. This paper provides a framework of speech based Chinese Sign Language (CSL) Animation System on Smart Phones, which combines speech recognition and sign language animation to make phones convenient for the hearing-impaired. This paper recognizes the Chinese speech into text first, and then proposes a HMMSVM model to judge interrogative expression from the speech and rewrites the plain text as mark-up text according to the rules of Chinese Sign Language Mark-up Language (CSLML) which provides signs for recording expressive context in the text, the corresponding animation is finally synthesized using key-frame technology. The prototype system based on the framework provided in this paper gives plausible Sign Language animation.

In recent years, mobile phones are turned into smart phones that is known multimedia machine   from interpersonal device. These devices  known smartphones are programmable mobile phones that  offer advanced talent and features  to  consumers in their personal and business lives. In  rapidly changing mobile phone market, new generation smart phone producers  incline consumers  with also being under the sway of social influence to buy and use this new  technology .It has an important  to establish smart phones offered as multi functional devices with different features   in terms of   which criteria  of them are prefered and which features whether used or not by their consumers. The purpose of this paper is to assess smartphones in terms of their users. As a result of literature review, smartphones assesment criterias that are social needs, social influences, convenience, dependency and purchase behaviour are surveyed .200 smartphone users live in the city centre of Kastamonu are surveyed in this study.  Results via  frequency analysis,Stage Ranking Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis  revealed the consumers’ smartphone preference reasons, usage  and dependendency level.Factors in the literature are confirmed by the confirmatory analysis.  Results via MANOVA analysis reveal that there are differences between smartphone users consideration in terms of their demographic features.

We describe a system of presenting the animation of the Japanese Signs by a Key-Frame Method as part of a supporting system for hearing-impaired persons. According to this system, JSL Signs are extracted from Japanese sentences whose elemental forms have been analyzed, and sign language corresponding to each sign is presented in image by using the angle displacement of each joint as a parameter. As a result of obtaining animated sign presentations by using several sample sentences, it was possible to recognize signs. However, since presented images are skelton models, it will be required in the future to examine a more effective image presentation system for the cases in which more realistic models are presented. In addition, in order to solve various problems associated with Key-Frame Method, we also examined an animated presentation system with the concept of Object-Oriented introduced. Taking note of the fact that a human is a multi-joint structure, we define a descriptive form in which the movement of each rigid body and the positional relationship between rigid bodies are treated as knowledge. By so doing, it now becomes possible to provides more flexible descrive forms and motion expressions.

In today’s scenario, Internet and mobile phones especially smart phones are playing a vital role among students in their education and daily life’s. The use of smart phone became very popular for its effective educational, behavioural and entertaining features in their daily lifestyle and attitude towards their studies. However, usages of smart phone have positive and negative effects among students. More usage of smart phone generally makes the students addicted to it and that effect on student’s health, behaviour, attitude, thinking and academic performance. Therefore, the aim of the current study is to find out the various patterns of smart phone usage in their day to day life. And also aims are to identify the factors that affect the level of smart phone addiction to the students and its pros and cons on their overall academic performance and physical and mental health.

Sign language is a visual language for communication used by hearing-impaired people with the help of hand and finger movements. Indian Sign Language (ISL) is a well-developed and standard way of communication for hearing-impaired people living in India. However, other people who use spoken language always face difficulty while communicating with a hearing-impaired person due to lack of sign language knowledge. In this study, we have developed a 3D avatar-based sign language learning system that converts the input speech/text into corresponding sign movements for ISL. The system consists of three modules. Initially, the input speech is converted into an English sentence. Then, that English sentence is converted into the corresponding ISL sentence using the Natural Language Processing (NLP) technique. Finally, the motion of the 3D avatar is defined based on the ISL sentence. The translation module achieves a 10.50 SER (Sign Error Rate) score.

With the rapid development of smart-phone applications, how to make the ordering process via smart-phones more convenient and intelligent has become a hotspot. This paper puts forward a method of restaurant dish recommendation relying on position information and association rules. In addition, this paper has designed and developed a restaurant recommendation system based on mobile phone. The system would fetch the real-time location information via smart-phones, and provide customers personalized restaurant and dish recommendation service. According to the related applications, this system can successfully recommend the related restaurants and food information to customers.
