Transporting people and goods poses a risk of participating in road collisions which results in damage to be eliminated to bring the car back to operation. When running a business, it is essential to optimise the repair costs. Also, the insurance companies search for repair cost determination methods adequately to the damage incurred. Currently the post-collision cost calculations are supported by specialised IT tools offering various spare parts assortments to be used for repair, painting methods as well as the process of technological replacement of the elements damaged. Cars, due to their complex structure, require a new approach to the process of determining the size of damage and the resulting repair cost. The article covers the problem of optimising the post-collision repair costs while using 3D Intelligent Graphics of AudaNet. The procedures presented in the article can be used by researchers modelling technological post-collision repair processes and they are applicable.

The article presents considerations regarding the impact of EU regulations in the form of vertical agreements in the motor vehicle sector from the prohibition of agreements restricting competition to the costs of passenger car repairs in Poland. The considerations were supplemented with proprietary repairs of repair costs, covering the use of individual categories of spare parts in the processes of repairing selected passenger cars from four selected market segments. The intention of the article is to draw attention to the essence of the research issues undertaken by showing which price discrepancies occur between the given spare parts, which in the future may facilitate the answer to the question: application, which category of spare parts leads to the highest reduction of vehicle repair costs. The addressees of the presented re-search results are both repair workshops, private users and insurance companies.

In Argentina, the provision of health care is divided into three components: a highly decentralized universal public sector, funded from general taxation; a constellation of compulsory collective insurance schemes, financed by contributions withdrawn from the salaries of workers in the formal labor market; and a system of private insurance companies used primarily by the middle and upper classes. Regarding the delivery of medical services, the configuration is mixed, as the weight of public and private providers is roughly equal. This complex structure, which derives from the historical development of particular institutions, produces high costs and unequal access to care according to a person’s geographical residence, occupational status, and purchasing power.

Consumers might be willing to repair their broken devices as long as the associated repair costs do not exceed an undesirable threshold. However, in many cases the technological obsolescence actuates consumers to retire old devices and replace them with new ones rather than extending the product lifecycle through repair. In this paper, we aim to investigate the impact of components’ deterioration profiles and consumers’ repair decisions on the lifespan of devices, and then assesse the anticipated life cycle environmental impacts. A Monte Carlo simulation is developed to estimate the life cycle characteristics such as the average lifespan, the number of failed components’ replacement, and the total repair cost per cycle for a laptop computer. The lifecycle characteristics estimated from simulation model further have been used in a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study to quantify the environmental impact associated with different design scenarios. The results reveal the impact of product design as well as consumers’ repair decisions on the product lifespan and the corresponding environmental impacts.

AbstractA complex Lie supergroup can be described as a real Lie supergroup with integrable almost complex structure. The necessary and sufficient conditions on an almost complex structure on a real Lie supergroup for defining a complex Lie supergroup are deduced. The classification of real Lie supergroups with such almost complex structures yields a new approach to the known classification of complex Lie supergroups by complexHarish-Chandra superpairs. A universal complexi ûcation of a real Lie supergroup is constructed

Abstract A new approach to robotic high precision selective assembly is presented. The basis for this selective assembly is a gripper which both grips the part to be assembled along its mating planes and inspects its dimensions while gripping. One hundred percent interchangeability of spare parts is achieved by selecting the appropriate parts for inventory, during assembly. Cost reduction and the increase in product quality are shown by example.

Introduction. In recent years in Ukraine, the weight and traffic volume of vehicles on the roads have increased significantly. Most of the bridges that are operating on these roads were built according to norms, the design loadings of which are not corresponding to the modern loadings on transport facilities.Problem Statement. The issue of bridges operation with defects of the structure in the condition of limited funding of the road industry become particularly relevant at the present stage, as the age of bridges is constantly increasing, and the resource of their elements is being expiring.Due to limited funding, the economic and time components of the designed models have a significant impact on the quality of performed calculations and the determination of the optimal strategy for performing of repairing work in specified conditions. The choice of planned works is determined during repairing plans development, both for evaluation of the current state of bridges and for determination of predicted bridge repairing terms.Purpose. the purpose of the work is the development of further optimization of the mode of repairs plan development to eliminate existing defects of bridges.Materials and methods. During the determination of repairs cost in the Analytical Expert Bridge Management System (AESUM), the average norms of the work volume were used. This method was limited by the fact that cost calculations were constant and did not consider actual defects of the bridges. The experience of the constructed bridges operation over 40–50 years revealed a significant number of various defects of structure, mainly of spans and piers. The causes of defects are long-term operation without proper maintenance, as well as a number of shortcomings during the design and construction of bridges. In order to further mode optimization of repair plans development, the existing defects on the bridges were studied from the point of view of their impact on the further destruction of certain elements of the bridge, or the facility as a whole, on the acceleration of this process. Such defects have been identified as high risk defects.Results. Scientists of «DerzhdorNDI» SE have developed and applied the technique of repair cost determination by formation of works complex to eliminate existing defects at the inspected facilities. A module for bridge repair planning has been developed considering the need for priority elimination of high risk defects.Conclusions. The technique of repairs cost determination was developed, as well as the module for bridge repair planning considering the need for priority elimination of high risk defects. Keywords: highway bridge, Analytical Expert Bridge Management System (AESUM), repairs cost determination, defect on bridges.

Production planning and control (PPC) systems concerned with maintaining complex products are faced with the challenge of making decisions without knowing the product’s condition. After the diagnosis, the production and warehouse capacities are adapted at short notice. This article presents a simulation-based method for optimizing PPC in maintenance companies. It focuses on the development and the results of a new approach for the management of spare parts.

Repair costs for mechanical equipment tend to increase with age. A mathematical expression relating mean repair cost to age is developed and is shown to be valid in practical cases. The expression is used as a basis for determining the economic life of equipment for the situation where a number of overhauls may occur before replacement. It is shown how the optimal number of overhauls can be determined as a function of the cost and effectiveness of overhaul.

The paper considers a new approach to planning and forming a stock of spare parts necessary for the smooth functioning of transport enterprises. The basis of the author's approach is the developed simulation model of the warehouse adapted for any type of enterprise that serves and (or) operates road transport. The need for spare parts in this model is defined as a mixture of probability distributions of demand of various kinds, which makes it universal. The model was based on the new patterns of influence of following factors on the size of the stock revealed by the authors: the statistical indicators of the need for spare parts, the type and location of the enterprise, the target level of reliability of the supply system, etc. The proposed approach allows connecting the main indicators of the resource management effectiveness: the shortage rate, the cost of stock, the level of system reliability. It allows planning and forming a stock of spare parts reasonably. It is expected that the proposed approach will increase the efficiency of transport enterprises and the degree of satisfaction of consumers of their services.
