The present study examined the relationship of auditory-visual integration and reading performance in a sample of British 8 to 9 year olds. The effects of I.Q. and sex differences were examined as possible moderating variables. Significant correlations were obtained between auditory-visual integration and reading ability in the total sample. Although sex was not a significant contributor to the relationship the results suggest that I.Q. did make a significant contribution especially at the lower levels.

This study aims to examine and determine the effect of moral intentions, organizational commitment, professional identity and rewards for disclosure of cheating behavior with Islamic work ethics and organizational culture as a moderating variable. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The sample used in this study was employees of the Makassar Syariah branch of BNI. The total sample amounted to 72 using purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis method uses multiple regression and moderating regression analysis with the absolute difference value approach. The results of this study indicate that moral intentions, organizational commitment, professional identity and rewards have a positive and significant influence on the disclosure of fraud behavior. The results of research related to moderating variables, Islamic work ethics variables only act as moderating variables in the relationship of moral intentions to the disclosure of fraud behavior. Whereas variable organizational commitment, professional identity and rewards for disclosure of fraudulent behavior are not moderated by Islamic work ethics. Furthermore, the moderating variable of organizational culture is only proven to moderate the relationship of moral intention and also organizational commitment to disclosure of fraudulent behavior. Whereas professional identity and rewards are not moderated by organizational culture.

Summary: The Gudjonsson Compliance Scale (GCS), the COPE Scale, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were administered to 212 men and 212 women. Multiple regression of the test scores showed that low self-esteem and denial coping were the best predictors of compliance in both men and women. Significant sex differences emerged on all three scales, with women having lower self-esteem than men, being more compliant, and using different coping strategies when confronted with a stressful situation. The sex difference in compliance was mediated by differences in self-esteem between men and women.

The present study assessed the relationship between obesity and reported loneliness. The subjects, 68 obese and 64 nonobese individuals, were administered the Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale. Obese subjects had significantly higher loneliness ratings than nonobese subjects. Obese women had significantly higher loneliness scores than nonobese women but no such difference was found between obese men and their thin peers. A significant correlation of .25 was obtained between body weight and loneliness ratings within the total sample and also the obese women ( r = .29). This correlation was nonsignificant within the obese men. Possible explanations for the observed sex differences as well as implications for research and treatment, were discussed.

The present study aimed to analyze the relationship of profile characteristics with group performance of tribal FIGs. The survey was purposively conducted in Erode district as it contains more number of tribal Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs). A total of five Tribal FIGs were randomly selected from 16 Tribal FIGs belonging to Dhimbam Dhaniya Farmer Producer Company Limited (DDFPCL) and the total sample size was 100. A well-structured interview schedule was prepared and employed to collect the data from the respondents. The findings showed that majority of the respondents were young aged with high school education, female marginal farmers receiving low level of annual income with medium level of farming experience. They had also received medium level of support from institution. The findings of the study also revealed that majority of the members of tribal FIGs had 76.00, 75.00, 73.00, 67.00 and 55.00 percentages of self-confidence, economic motivation, group leadership, group communication and information seeking behaviour respectively. To improve the performance of tribal FIGs, measures should be taken to increase the level of group communication, group leadership and group cohesiveness. This can be increased through organizing regular meetings for members, proper selection of leaders and making the members to understand the importance of group action

Kata Kunci: audit tenure, pengalaman , skeptisisme auditor, kualitas audit  ABSTRACTThe importance of financial statements for many, causing the report to be presented in a relevant and reliable manner. Adolescent subcortical structural brain development might underlie psychopathological symptoms, which often emerge in adolescence. At the same time, sex differences exist in psychopathology, which might be mirrored in underlying sex differences in structural development. However, previous studies showed inconsistencies in subcortical trajectories and potential sex differences. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the subcortical structural trajectories and their sex differences across adolescence using for the first time a single cohort design, the same quality control procedure, software and a general additive mixed modeling approach. We investigated two large European sites from ages 14 to 24 with 503 participants and 1408 total scans from France and Germany as part of the IMAGEN project including four waves of data acquisition. We found significantly larger volumes in males versus females in both sites and across all seven subcortical regions. Sex differences in age-related trajectories were observed across all regions in both sites. Our findings provide further evidence of sex differences in longitudinal adolescent brain development of subcortical regions and thus might eventually support the relationship of underlying brain development and different adolescent psychopathology in boys and girls.
