Purpose - This study aims to determine the relationship between career development opportunities available to the employees and their job satisfaction. The study is focusing on private banks in Karachi. Methodology/Sample - For this paper, survey was conducted by using structured questionnaire that were administered through e-mail and by distributing to five hundred respondents from five private Banks situated in Karachi. Hypothesis testing has been done by use of „Chi-Square test‟. Sample size for the study is 395 and the sampling procedure used id convenience based. Findings - The study determined that there is positive relationship between career development and employee job satisfaction in banking sector. Employees are satisfied with career development activities that are offered at their organizations. Corporate world has become more competitive hence employees have become more conscious to career development. Practical Implications - The findings of the research is beneficial for management of banking sector to design career development programs in such a way that increase the job satisfaction and promote work environment among employees in Pakistan. Research Limitations - Data confidentiality policy of organizations, time constraint and unavailability of concerned personnel at the time of interviews were limitations in some cases while gathering data.

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation, job satisfaction, and career development on employee retention. The study was conducted at Batur Natural Hot Spring in Bangli, with 83 employees. Data collection is done by census method (saturated sample) from the distribution of questionnaires with data analysis tools using multiple linear regression. The results of the study are compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee retention, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee retention. Career development has a positive and significant effect on employee retention. The implications of this study expect leaders to be able to consider compensation to be provided in accordance with the targets and workload of employees, able to behave fairly and provide career development programs for all employees. Abstract This research is a survey research to determine teacher professional development programs that can be carried out by schools through teacher self-assessment. The results of this study can be used to determine professional development programs that can be carried out by schools based on self-assessment according to the needs of teachers. The self-assessment carried out by the teacher to analyze the need for Teacher Professional Development is carried out with a questionnaire that includes a person's strengths and weaknesses, Desired or required Career or Professional Development and the reasons for choosing the career development. Based on the survey, it can be seen that there is a comparison between the strengths of teachers and their weaknesses for the four competencies that teachers must have, it is also in accordance with the professional development program needed to improve the four competencies of teachers. Keywords: Self-Assessment, Teacher Professional Development

Despite widespread acknowledgement of the importance of career development programs to assist students in their complex transition from school to work, very few specific career education interventions have been objectively evaluated. The aim of this paper is to highlight what the authors consider to be a conspicuous shortfall in the career development literature to date, that is, reports of methodologically sound career intervention studies carried out in actual high school settings. International trends in the world of work are briefly discussed in association with the repercussions these changes are producing for today's youth. The major portion of this article is devoted to a comprehensive review of career intervention studies with particular attention paid to the methodological and theoretical issues that resonate from this review process. Recommendations for future research are proposed.

Job satisfaction is one of the keys to accomplish optimal performance. Therefore, conditioning the organization to create job satisfaction is very important. This study aims to prove that the optimization of employee performance can be achieved especially if the job satisfaction has been realized, using career development, competence, and compensation as indicators. This research method was descriptive-verification with the collection data using survey that sampling uses saturated sampling and analyzed using the Structural Equation Model. The object research was employees of the Regional Forestry Service work units of Central Sulawesi Province. The results proved that the job satisfaction was a very important factor in mediating (full mediating variables) the variables of career development, competence, and compensation in improving employee performance, which is indicated by a positive and significant effect. Furthermore, it was proven that the biggest contribution affecting employee performance was the variable job satisfaction, with career development contributes to the highest influence on job satisfaction, followed by competence, and compensation.   Keywords: Job satisfaction, career development, competence, compensation, and employee’s performance.
