Purpose - This study aims to determine the relationship between career development opportunities available to the employees and their job satisfaction. The study is focusing on private banks in Karachi. Methodology/Sample - For this paper, survey was conducted by using structured questionnaire that were administered through e-mail and by distributing to five hundred respondents from five private Banks situated in Karachi. Hypothesis testing has been done by use of „Chi-Square test‟. Sample size for the study is 395 and the sampling procedure used id convenience based. Findings - The study determined that there is positive relationship between career development and employee job satisfaction in banking sector. Employees are satisfied with career development activities that are offered at their organizations. Corporate world has become more competitive hence employees have become more conscious to career development. Practical Implications - The findings of the research is beneficial for management of banking sector to design career development programs in such a way that increase the job satisfaction and promote work environment among employees in Pakistan. Research Limitations - Data confidentiality policy of organizations, time constraint and unavailability of concerned personnel at the time of interviews were limitations in some cases while gathering data.

Occupational stress is defined as the harmful physical and emotional responses that occur when the requirement of the job do not match the capabilities, resources or needs of the worker. Bank employees belong to special workgroup who undergo varying levels of mental stress in workplace. Women, in the Indian society, play the dual role as ‘homemaker’ and ‘working woman’. The research was conducted to investigate the association between age and core factors influencing stress. This paper aims to find out the level stress towards various sources of stress and also to analyse various stress relief methods used by the women employees in private banking sector in Thrissur District. 50 women employees working in various private banks in Thrissur District were taken for this study. The study is descriptive in nature. Chi-square test is used for analysing the association between age and core factors influencing stress, Likert Scale and Ranking method also used for this research. The findings also reveal that there is no association between age and core factors influencing stress.

The banking sector has made unbelievable progress in India from the Economic reorganize happen in 1991. Many new private banks came into existence which has brought changes in the banking sector in India, changes with respect to proper utilization of resources, improvement in services provided to the customers, and introduction of innovative products as well as policies. ICICI bank is a private bank that is customer-oriented. All policies, facilities, and services provided by ICICI bank revolve around its This survey attempts to examine the changing perception of the customer which is preferably toward the services provided to them by ICICI bank. This study included both secondary as well as Primary Data. Primary Data was collected through a Questionnaire included 18 questions..There were 69 respondents from an age group of 18-56. Simple random Sampling was used for data collection. The data was collected from states of India. Chi square test was used in the analysis of data. Null hypothesis was accepted which states that people satisfied with interest rates is due to the trust and reliability they have with the bank.

The present study identified the sources of job stress among marketing executives working in private banking sector of Punjab. A self-administered questionnaire consisting of personal information and items related to respondents job stress was used to collect the data from 600 marketing executives. The factors having potential to produce job stress identified through factor analysis are lack of clarity and growth, work-life imbalance, work overload, lack of autonomy, unachievable targets, poor communication system and poor interpersonal relations. The detailed findings and managerial implications for private banks are discussed.

Job satisfaction is a general attitude towards one’s job, the difference between the amount of reward workers receive and the amount they believe they should receive. Employee is a back bone of every organization, without employee no work can be done. So employee’s satisfaction is very important.Employees will be more satisfied if they get what they expected, job satisfaction relates to inner feelings of workers. As Udumalpet and Palani Taluk are famous for paper industries, the main aim of this study is to analyze the satisfaction level of paper mill employees. Chi-Square test and percentage analysis have been used in this study to analyze the job satisfaction of paper mill employees in Udumalpet and Palani Taluk. The study shows that only 44% of the employees are satisfied with the working conditions, 31% of them with the welfare facilities, 44% of them with the accident compensation, and 42% of them are satisfied with the rewards provided and 52% of them are satisfied with the grievance handling procedure. The organization may give importance to certain factors such as Canteen, rest room facilities, rewards, recognition and promotion policy so that satisfaction of the employees may be improved further.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the impact of Non-monetary rewards on employee job performance in private banking sector of Hyderabad Pakistan. The study focused on factors such as recognition, career development, flexible working schedule (independent variables) and employee performance (dependent variable). The relationship between dependent and independent variables are empirically verified through statistical methods. The statistical tests like reliability test and multiple regression statistics were used for data analysis. Primary method was adopted for the collection of data in the form of questionnaire. Total respondents were 50 that were physically contacted. In reliability test all variables (03 independent and one dependent variable) were found reliable with good and excellent remarks. The value of Beta indicated positive relationship with dependent variable i.e. employee performance. In multiple regression analysis, independent variables recognition, career development and flexible working schedule were found insignificant.

The purpose of this chapter is to emphasize the effect of bank employee turnover on profitability. Researchers so far have commonly studied employee turnover, job satisfaction, and commitment. The current research intends to fill the gap by focusing on the relationship between employee turnover and profitability. In this chapter, firstly, employee turnover, its terminology, and the nature of turnover are defined. This relationship in the banking sector is analyzed and three private banks in Turkey are scrutinized. The main argument of the research is that there is an adverse relationship between employee turnover and bank profitability. Conversely, the results of the study do not thoroughly support the assumption. As a result, findings show that banks minimize the effects of economic crisis by dismissal and not recruiting new employees to replace a quitting worker or recruiting for a new position.

This study identifies factors responsible for customers’ attitudes and perceptions towards emerging internet banking sector. It also reveals the importance of the key variables relating to customers’ demographic and social inputs. A sample of 156 customers is personally surveyed using a structured questionnaire in various cities of Andhra Pradesh. The data are analyzed using descriptive analysis like chi-square test, cross tabulations, t-test and factor analysis, and the proposed hypotheses are tested. Further the effects of psychometric factors are analyzed and the results are compared with those obtained without psychometric input. Extensive analysis of the data reveals that factors such as customer relationship management, word of mouth and the attitudes of the customers play important roles in increasing the productivity with respect to internet banking. Hypothesis tests also demonstrate that significant difference exists in usage of mobile banking and SMS banking with reference to demographic factors. The quality of the service also influences the customers to choose internet banking as a better alternative.
