Characters that are often discussed as part of educational goals are still overlapping. The values of the characters that want to be instilled are still not raised, and there needs to be developed. The value of Islamic characters can be taken from the previous Saheeh stories told directly by the Prophet Muhammad. Researchers tried to explore other Islamic characters by using descriptive methods using the library research approach. The primary data source of this research is a book by Umar Sulaiman al-Asyqor, titled The Stories of Shahih in the Qur'an and As-Sunnah, curriculum 2013 pai elementary school subjects, related books, thesis, and articles relevant to the theme studied. This study found many Islamic characters that have not been listed in the competency standards of the PAI 2013 curriculum. Of the 18 character values and 61 characters determined, there are still character values that have not been listed if they are based on Islamic values. Among the characters that do not exist and need to be used as development are: tawhid, analytical, exemplary, prudence, qana'ah, produce work, firm, admit mistakes, obey, love animals, benefactors, shame, hospitality, meticulous, cooperation, help, curiosity, rukun, good guess, tabligh, fathanah, and straightforward.

The aim of this paper is to ascertain the type of relation elementary school students have toward mathematics classes. Through employing technical and scientific methods, a basis was constructed which can provide answers to numerous questions related to math classes, relation of students towards the subject matter, as well as to results being achieved in the subject mathematics during elementary education. The fact is that elementary school students exhibit difficulties in accepting the subject and achieve lower results in mathematics in comparison to other school subjects. Likewise, it is a fact that students upon gradating elementary school opt for high schools which have less mathematics in their curricula, and this state of affair continues when choosing higher education area. In the first theoretical part, certain fundamental concepts regarding this research topic have been clarified. The second part relates to the methodology of research of the above-mentioned problem. In the third part an analysis and interpretation of the results of conducted research has been provided.

This study aims to analyze and compare school subjects to determine the extent to which critical thinking skills are being engaged in school subjects’ questions and activities in public education. Five Arab countries are included in this paper; Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Arab Republic of Egypt, and The Tunisian Republic, in elementary school levels (first, second, and third grades.)The study found that all Arab countries focus on operating inductive reasoning skills in their subjects, followed by reasoning and observation, sequentially, while dismissing credibility and assumptions skills. Saudi Arabia focused on developing critical thinking skills in science textbooks for the past three academic years, while Kuwait had the same focus on their Arabic language classes. Both the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Egypt have paid a measurable attention to engaging critical thinking skills in Mathematics and the Arabic language, as well as Tunisia in their science textbooks. The least effective subjects in operating critical thinking skills were the Arabic language in Saudi Arabia, science in Kuwait, Domestic Economics in Egypt, and Islamic education in Jordan and Tunisia.

The article discusses the problem of the formation of a universal educational action of classification among junior schoolchildren of the second grade, which refers to intellectual operations of a cognitive nature. Three stages of the formation of the classification action are revealed: the choice of an essential basis for grouping objects; classification according to a given basis; classification on an independently chosen basis. Examples of assignments developed on the basis of the content of various elementary school subjects are given, in the process of completing which students of the second grade consistently master the logical actions of classification.
