Abstract Renewable energy will drive the future. The applications of mobile phone is no longer limited to communication between each other but can also be used on an everyday basis starting from grocery shopping to watching series for entertainment. Thus our mobile phones require constant charging of power. It is almost impossible to increase the mAh capacity of the battery indefinitely; therefore the need of a battery re-charging source is inevitable. The objective of this research work is to design a sustainable, portable charger in which power is generated with the help of piezoelectric sensors embedded into the shoes of an individual. The underlying principle is to transduce the pressure applied on the piezoelectric sensors to power. This power can be used to charge mobile phones using a USB cable at any convenient time. The light weight compatibility of the device makes it easily portable. In the proposed system, a grid of piezoelectric sensors of suitable size is incorporated in the shoes and an Android application is developed to monitor the power generated as well as to suggest the optimal walking pace for the user to increase power generation. The key highlight of this prototype is that it is user friendly and is paired with an Android application to facilitate maximum power generation.

Abstract: Day by day, the population of the country is increasing and the requirement of the power is also increasing in many ways. So, reforming this energy back to usable form is the major solution for future needs. In this Footstep power generation project, power is generated by human’s footsteps, so as to charge the battery by storing the power generated with the help of piezo sensors. The power stored in the battery, used to charge the mobile phones using RFID card. This system is powered by Atmega 328 microcontroller, it consists of Arduino IDE, RFID Sensor, USB Cable and LCD. When power is on in the system, the system enters into the registration mode. Three users can registered. Once all the users entered in the system, then the system asks to swipe the card and connect the charger. Initially all the user is given 5 minutes of charging time as default. When card is swiped and the user is authorized, the system turns on for charging the Mobile phone within a given time period. This is an Android application for automatic profile switching as per location. There are many places like Hospitals, Petrol pumps, Universities, Corporate offices etc. where it is clearly mentioned, “KEEP YOUR MOBILE PHONES SILENT!!” Many times people forget to switch the mobile to the “Silent Mode” which is not feasible every time like in an important meeting, lectures etc. This application provide near about completely automated profile switching according to location. This application will enable the device to switch to the ‘Silent Mode’ in locations like Hospitals, Major Corporate offices, Universities, Well known Educational Complexes, Petrol pumps, Government offices etc. by default & there will be no need to set them manually. This application is also user friendly in that, when the device is also in locations not belonging to any of above category, it can switch to ‘user defined profile mode’ by using user defined settings.

Background: Fog computing paradigm has recently emerged and gained higher attention in present era of Internet of Things. The growth of large number of devices all around, leads to the situation of flow of packets everywhere on the Internet. To overcome this situation and to provide computations at network edge, fog computing is the need of present time that enhances traffic management and avoids critical situations of jam, congestion etc. Methods: For research purposes, there are many methods to implement the scenarios of fog computing i.e. real-time implementation, implementation using emulators, implementation using simulators etc. The present study aims to describe the various simulation and emulation tools for implementing fog computing scenarios. Results: Review shows that iFogSim is the simulator that most of the researchers use in their research work. Among emulators, EmuFog is being used at higher pace than other available emulators. This might be due to ease of implementation and user-friendly nature of these tools and language these tools are based upon. The use of such tools enhance better research experience and leads to improved quality of service parameters (like bandwidth, network, security etc.). Conclusion: There are many fog computing simulators/emulators based on many different platforms that uses different programming languages. The paper concludes that the two main simulation and emulation tools in the area of fog computing are iFogSim and EmuFog. Accessibility of these simulation/emulation tools enhance better research experience and leads to improved quality of service parameters along with the ease of their usage.

In this technological world, smartphones can be considered as one of the most far-reaching inventions. It plays a vital role in connecting people socially. The number of mobile users using an Android based smartphone has increased rapidly since last few years resulting in organizations, cyber cell departments, government authorities feeling the need to monitor the activities on certain targeted devices in order to maintain proper functionality of their respective jobs. Also with the advent of smartphones, Android became one of the most popular and widely used Operating System. Its highlighting features are that it is user friendly, smartly designed, flexible, highly customizable and supports latest technologies like IoT. One of the features that makes it exclusive is that it is based on Linux and is Open Source for all the developers. This is the reason why our project Mackdroid is an Android based application that collects data from the remote device, stores it and displays on a PHP based web page. It is primarily a monitoring service that analyzes the contents and distributes it in various categories like Call Logs, Chats, Key logs, etc. Our project aims at developing an Android application that can be used to track, monitor, store and grab data from the device and store it on a server which can be accessed by the handler of the application.

Sustainable management and conservation of tropical trees and forests require accurate identification of tree species. Reliable, user-friendly identification tools based on macroscopic morphological features have already been developed for various tree floras. Wood anatomical features provide also a considerable amount of information that can be used for timber traceability, certification and trade control. Yet, this information is still poorly used, and only a handful of experts are able to use it for plant species identification. Here, we present an interactive, user-friendly tool based on vector graphics, illustrating 99 states of 27 wood characters from 110 Amazonian tree species belonging to 34 families. Pl@ntWood is a graphical identification tool based on the IDAO system, a multimedia approach to plant identification. Wood anatomical characters were selected from the IAWA list of microscopic features for hardwood identification, which will enable us to easily extend this work to a larger number of species. A stand-alone application has been developed and an on-line version will be delivered in the near future. Besides allowing non-specialists to identify plants in a user-friendly interface, this system can be used with different purposes such as teaching, conservation, management, and selftraining in the wood anatomy of tropical species.

In this literature, a new automated control strategy has been developed to manage the power supply from the wind power generation system to the load. The main objective of this research work is to develop a fuzzy logic–based pitch angle control and to develop a static transfer switch to make power balance between the wind power generation system and the loads. The power management control system is a progression of logic expressions, designed based on generating power and load power requirement. The outcome of this work targets at an improved power production, active and reactive power compensation and ensures system load constraints. To validate the proposed control strategy, a detailed simulation study is carried out on a 9-MW wind farm simulation simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment.

Ion channels are the second largest drug target family. Ion channel dysfunction may lead to a number of diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, cephalagra, and type II diabetes. In the research work for predicting ion channel–drug, computational approaches are effective and efficient compared with the costly, labor-intensive, and time-consuming experimental methods. Most of the existing methods can only be used to deal with the ion channels of knowing 3D structures; however, the 3D structures of most ion channels are still unknown. Many predictors based on protein sequence were developed to address the challenge, while most of their results need to be improved, or predicting web servers are missing. In this paper, a sequence-based classifier, called “iCDI-W2vCom,” was developed to identify the interactions between ion channels and drugs. In the predictor, the drug compound was formulated by SMILES-word2vec, FP2-word2vec, SMILES-node2vec, and ECFPs via a 1184D vector, ion channel was represented by the word2vec via a 64D vector, and the prediction engine was operated by the LightGBM classifier. The accuracy and AUC achieved by iCDI-W2vCom via the fivefold cross validation were 91.95% and 0.9703, which outperformed other existing predictors in this area. A user-friendly web server for iCDI-W2vCom was established at http://www.jci-bioinfo.cn/icdiw2v. The proposed method may also be a potential method for predicting target–drug interaction.

Robinson Seismic's latest developments in seismic isolation includes a new device, the RoballTM, for seismically isolating structures during earthquakes. This advance is a new concept for seismic isolation based on the principle of the inverted pendulum. It consists of 'friction balls' or 'Roballs' moving between upper and lower spherical like cavities or flat plates. The Roballs are filled with a material which is able to provide the friction forces required to absorb the energy from numerous earthquakes while supporting the structure. The Roball technique is expected to enable light and in the future possibly heavy structures to be more economically seismically isolated. As part of a program to develop a user friendly 'seismic isolation system' a series of full-scale tests have been carried out on a number of possible designs including three approaches for vertical pressures of -1 MPa resulting in coefficients of friction of -0.1 to -0.4. In this paper we present the preliminary experimental results.

In the course of the study, the activity of Ukrainian enterprises was analyzed. It was revealed that the main aspects that require increased attention, regardless of the industry, are staff management and order management. The activity of any enterprise consists of fulfilling orders and, as a consequence, satisfying customers. It is proposed to develop an automated system that will enable to keep records of orders, namely: the time of order receipt, the number of products, the urgency, the necessary material and time resources, the priority of the order, the executor, the predicted and actual time of the order. This system will help to organize the work of staff, namely: to optimize the working hours of employees due to the dynamic scheduling of the task list; to introduce responsibility for an order that is tied to a specific employee, to keep records of shifts and working hours, automatically form a payroll with due account of worked shifts/hours. The work designed an automated system for managing orders and staff at middle-class enterprises. The requirements for this system are defined and two types of architecture are proposed. For a better understanding of the design phase of the automated system, a class diagram, activity diagram and interaction diagrams are presented. In the process of research, the end product was created with a user-friendly and intuitive user interface that maximally satisfies all the requirements that have been defined for this system. For today the system works in a test mode at the enterprise of Ukraine. The introduction of the system to the filter element manufacturing company allowed to improve the interaction with customers by 40 % due to faster fulfillment of orders; 80 % facilitate the work of managers to track and control the execution of orders; and also, by 20% increase the efficiency of the staff department. What on the whole positively affected the work of the enterprise as a whole.

Android is a mobile device on the operating system for mobile phones based on Linux, android provides an open platform for developers to create applications. Android-based application developers make applications so that they can be useful for the community ranging from game genre applications, education, entertainment and simulation applications that are very likely to be created and run on this android operating system. Simulation is the process of designing a matemastis or logical model of a real system, conducting experiments on models using computers to describe, explain and predict system behavior. For a simulation application company can be used as a medium of product promotion, while for smartphone users can help to channel the existing imagination into a real picture. The application of simulation applications many functions, one example of its application to two-wheeled motor vehicles. By utilizing android application and the growth of vehicle users that lead to the hobby of modification, it can be utilized by creating an android-based coloring simulation application to help modifiers and modification lovers in order to channel their imagination and make it easier to design colors as desired. Without having to bother using design software that requires special skills
