Abstract The technique and technology of movement and displacement of the powder product inside the drum dryer with a paddle agitator have been developed. Theoretical studies were carried out to assess the effect of the system of forces on the product inside the rotating drum when the agitator rotating in the opposite direction is exposed to it, which allowed estimating the throughput capability of the drying unit. It is established that, with an increase in the speed of movement and mixing of the product, the drying speed increases. The results of these studies can be used in the future when designing drying units and improving the drying technology.

Entropy in workplaces is situated amidst workers and their work. In this paper, findings are reported from a study encompassing psychomotor work by three types of workers: human, cyborg and robot; together with three aspects of psychomotor work: setting, composition and uncertainty. The Principle of Least Psychomotor Action (PLPA) is introduced and modelled in terms of situated entropy. PLPA is founded upon the Principle of Least Action. Situated entropy modelling of PLPA is informed by theoretical studies concerned with connections between information theory and thermodynamics. Four contributions are provided in this paper. First, the situated entropy of PLPA is modelled in terms of positioning, performing and perfecting psychomotor skills. Second, with regard to workers, PLPA is related to the state-of-the-art in human, cyborg and robot psychomotor skills. Third, with regard to work, situated entropy is related to engineering of work settings, work composition and work uncertainty. Fourth, PLPA and modelling situated entropy are related to debate about the future of work. Overall, modelling situated entropy is introduced as a means of objectively modelling relative potential of humans, cyborgs, and robots to carry out work with least action. This can introduce greater objectivity into debates about the future of work.

An important duty of man is proper communication and relativity to creation. This is due to the unique situation of our being “in the middle” and our vocation to go out “in the opposite direction”. However, personal faith in God becomes a particularly ennobling factor, as it somehow deepens the human desire for closeness and solidarity with the whole created reality. Through true openness to the visible world, we learn more about the relationship between the individual and the community, as well between the human community and the whole creation. Ultimately, we are trying to take up the challenge of dealing responsibly with nature as a unique value today and with the right to continue in the future.

Abstract The method and technology were developed to study the influence of an average diameter, mass and rolling friction of hawthorn fruits on the moisture content during the drying process. It was established that the fruits of smoothed hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha L.) have a large unevenness in diameters of 11 mm - 21 mm and weight of 1.3 g - up to 4.2 g. The average diameter of hawthorn fruits decreases from 16 to 12.5 mm with a decrease in moisture content from 74.9 to 14%; the coefficient of rolling friction of hawthorn fruits on the surface of the working chamber increases from 0.12 to 0.31 with a decrease in moisture content from 74.9 to 14%. The results of these studies of hawthorn fruits can be used in the future when designing drying plants and improving drying technology.

Rotary dryers are widely used in various industries. Although numerous research efforts have focused on characterizing the dynamics of these equipments, the design of rotating dryers is complex, and theoretical studies are necessary to gain an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of particles in these dryers. This paper aims to investigate the particle dynamic behavior in a rotating drum with flights, based on CFD and experimental results. In the numerical study it was used the Eulerian-Eulerian multiphase model along with the kinetic theory of granular flow. The holdups of solids in the flights were compared with experimental data, using a methodology created specifically for this purpose. The simulated results were in good agreement with the experimental data and the present work has shown that the Eulerian approach has been able to predict the fluid dynamics behavior in different operating conditions.

ABSTRACTThe central aim of this article is to reflect critically about current conditions anthropotechnical of humani-ty, something analogous to the state of the art in current technological interface with emerging social realities, and their prospects horizons concerning social conjunctions that are constructed by technological means, paying particular attention to exponential technoscientific developments of Modernity and Post-modernity, these events that cause a sudden change in how we perceive the reality around us and circumscribes, redefining it radically. We will also try to demonstrate that, in fact, determine our technologies to conceive them and Plasma them socially but also just being equally and in opposite direction, determined by these fields important of societal life, since technical and structural technologies (such as genetics, cloning, the bioengenheiramento and transgenias, for example) are interfering deeper in our daily lives, to the point extraordinary and ambiguous they can even determine the biomolecular structure of our carnal constitution, or is, until something reckless and social bioethically talking. We will also launch poignant light on the question of indetermination in relation to the future societies and technologies and the endless and overdeterminations determinism they impose to each other in order to influ-ence mutually back-to extreme peculiarity and plasticity; remembering that the second (technologies) are (and will be) contained in the first (societies), as there could be, and that we humans, so even just getting influences and important deter-minations of both forces and entities. It is also worth noting that there is, in this context, a blatant lack of technologies and technosciences we produce and use, and it is then that we now turn.RESUMOO objetivo central deste artigo é refletir criticamente acerca das atuais condições antropotécnicas da humanidade, algo análogo ao estado da arte tecnológica atual em interface com as realidades sociais emergentes, suas perspectivas e horizontes quanto às conjunções sociais que se constroem por meios tecnológicos, dedicando especial atenção aos exponenciais desenvolvimentos tecnocientíficos da Modernidade e Pós-modernidade, eventos estes que provocam uma súbita mudança na maneira como percebermos a própria realidade que nos circunda e circunscreve, resignificando-a radicalmente.

In recent years tremendous concern has been expressed about the problems of what had first been identified as “backward,” then euphemistically “underdeveloped” or “undeveloped,” and now more positively “developing” or “emerging” areas. A wealth of factual and theoretical studies has been produced, attempting to view the problems of underdevelopment broadly and to construct a conceptual framework by which we might comprehend the apparently complex phenomena occurring in those regions. In spite of this growing scholarly interest, and without attempting to minimize the contribution of those who are laboring in this as yet untapped field, it is this writer's contention that too few studies have been undertaken which examine and analyze the views of those individuals most influential in shaping the future of the emerging states—the national political leaders.

Abstract The Romanian opera and operetta repertoire is a constant objective in the Opera Class of the Faculty of Performing, Composition, and Musical Theoretical Studies in “George Enescu” National University of Arts from Iași. The stylistic diversity and the richness of the drama make not only an important instrument for the study out of it, but also a moral debt for the knowledge and transmission of a music whose beauty – once (re)discovered – is a source of enchantment for the artists, as well as for the public. If in the beginning of the professional route singing in the mother tongue facilitates the work and the study of the opera singer, over time this option may enter an ethic of the performer, happily completing his repertoire. Although one of our main goals is to guide the students, future opera singers, to gain and to develop their acting skills so as to be natural and convincing on stage, contemporary realism does not exclude experiments. Having this in mind and in order to make studentsʼ work visible, we made an experimental video document, based on a first selection from our recitals, which is aimed to let the audience take a glance into the intimacy of our class study on Romanian opera and operetta, both from the musical and drama perspective. By changing the original objective – the entire presentation in semester exams of studentsʼ classroom work – the fragmentary nature of the processing gives a certain dynamism to our work. Changing the purpose brings things to a new light, the artistic overbearing the pedagogical, and last but not least, the Romanian music proving that it supports an experimental treatment.
