Abstract Environmental degradation triggers the numerous impacts of climate change. This research describes the Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of vocational high school students and university students regarding climate change to develop a Smart Trash. The research method used is descriptive method with survey technique. Essay tests are used as the research instrument. The essay questions are comprised of 12 items with 6 indicators. The research finds that the HOTS scores of both vocational and university students are in the very low category, especially in the creative-thinking aspect. The average scores of climate change HOTS for vocational and university students are 25.60 and 30.23, respectively. The research result indicates that Smart Trash as a learning medium should be introduced in the form of project assignments for both vocational and university students. This research concludes that the HOTS score is low and needs an improvement to create a Smart Trash. The suggestion for further research is to improve students’ HOTS in vocational education and universities by developing HOTS learning.

The purpose of this study was to describe the creative thinking skills of junior high school students based on mathematics anxiety and gender. Aspects of creative thinking skills used in this study are fluency, flexibility, and novelty. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instruments used were open-ended questions consisting of algebra and geometry questions, mathematics anxiety questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The study was conducted in class IX E of SMPI Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun Jakarta. The subject of this study consisted of four students, they are male student with low mathematics anxiety, female student with low mathematics anxiety, male student with medium mathematics anxiety, and female student with medium mathematics anxiety. The results of the mathematics anxiety questionnaire showed that none of the students in class IX E had high math anxiety. There are differences in the fulfillment of aspects of creative thinking in terms of differences in mathematics anxiety and gender levels. Students with low math anxiety fulfill aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty in algebra and geometry questions. Students with medium math anxiety fulfill aspects of fluency and flexibility both in algebra and geometry questions. Female students fulfill aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty both in algebra and geometry questions. Male students fulfill aspects of fluency and flexibility in algebra questions, while in geometry questions the aspects that are fulfilled are fluency, flexibility, and novelty.

This study aims to determine the ability of creative thinking high school students in physics learning, know the form of assessment of creative thinking abilities. The study was conducted at SMAN 6 Yogyakrata. This type of research is a survey with a cross-sectional method that is a survey conducted once and at a time. The subjects were the principals, teachers of physics from SMAN 6 Yogyakrata and 30 grade XI students. observations, interviews, and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. The data analysis method used was the quantitative-qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the creative thinking ability of class XI MIA 1 students at SMAN 6 Yogyakarta can be said to be in the average and quite good category, although there are some students whose level of creative thinking ability is low. In addition, the form of assessment used by physics teachers has not been effective and accurate enough in assessing students 'creative thinking abilities. So it is recommended to use The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) in physics learning because it has been proven to be accurate in assessing students' creative thinking abilities.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP kelas VII dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) serta untuk mengetahui apakah keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa memiliki hubungan positif terhadap komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP XYZ kota Bogor. Adapun kegiatan pada proses pembelajaran ini adalah merancang mathematics board games. Mix method merupakan jenis metode penelitian yang dilakukan dengan teknik pengambilan data dengan wawancara terhadap 5 orang responden, kuesioner dan observasi. Analisa kualitatif dilakukan secara triangulasi. Sedangkan untuk analisa kualitatif dengan menggunakan data yang diperoleh dari instrumen rubrik indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi PjBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa. Secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji statistik korelasi Pearson, diketahui keterampilan berpikir kreatif memiliki hubungan positif dengan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Abstract: The purpose of this study is to improve the creative thinking skills and mathematical communication of VII grade junior high school students by applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model and to find out whether students 'creative thinking skills have a positive correlation with students' mathematical communication skill. This research was conducted at SMP XYZ in Bogor. The activities in this learning process are designing mathematics board games. Mix method as the research methodology that is used with data collection techniques by interviewing 5 respondents, questionnaires and observations. Qualitative analysis is done by triangulation. Whereas for quanitative analysis using data obtained from the rubric instrument of creative thinking skills and mathematical communication indicators. The implementation of PjBL could improve students' creative thinking skills and mathematical communication. Quantitatively using the Pearson correlation statistical test, it is known that creative thinking skills have a positive relationship with creative thinking skills.

This research aims to developing the Biology Test of Creative Thunking-Torrance Test (BTCT-TT) assessment in studying Biology for high school student in grade 11. This type of research is Research& Development (R & D) with 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). This study have develodped 37 items that are valid and reliabel. BTCT-TT was tested on 150 high school students, the results showed the average score of students’ creative thinking skills was significantly releted to students who received BTCT-TT assessment and Conventional assessment.   Keywords: Biology Test of Creative Thinking-Torrance Test (BTCT-TT), Creative Thinking

The main objective of this research is to produce junior high school Physics teaching materials oriented to a simple practical tool that can be used to foster junior high school students 'creative thinking skills, with the specific aim of knowing the indicators of junior high school students' creative thinking skills that can be grown through the use of a guided inquiry learning model assisted by a simple practicum tool. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with the design of Equivalent Pretest-Posttest Design (Design of Prates-Pascates Equivalent). This research was conducted at the Labschool Junior High School of Tadulako University where  the class VIII students being the research subjects. The research instrument used was an essay test and observation sheet. The data analysis technique used was quantitative data analyzed by inferential statistics, calculating the significance of the differences in the average of both groups of samples and qualitative data analyzed by using the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that a guided inquiry learning model assisted by a simple practicum tool could foster the creative thinking skills of the students of Labschool UNTAD Junior High School in the indicators of flexible thinking, fluent thinking and originality.

Soft skills are non-academic competencies that complement a student's academic achievement to face the world of work in the future. This study aims to identify ways of implementing soft skills and the kind of soft skills emphasized in the teaching and learning of the Malay language among secondary school students in nine selected schools in Kedah, Penang, and Perak. The study involved focus group interviews and individual interviews consisted of 119 students and 26 Malay language teachers. The findings show that soft skills apply directly and indirectly through various learning activities in Malay Language subjects. Respondents from normal schools received less exposure to soft skills compared to respondents from high-performing schools (HPS). Among the soft skills identified in this study are teamwork skills, self-confidence, communication, critical thinking, leadership, influencing skills, critical and creative thinking skills (CCTS), and problem-solving skills. Communication skills and teamwork skills were among the most detected soft skills in the three high-performing schools involved in this study. Meanwhile, the activities carried out to apply soft skills are group discussions, presentations, acting, poetry recitation, storytelling, public speaking, forums, and question and answer. Although this study is not comprehensive in terms of the number of schools and respondents, the findings of this study are important to explain the real scenario of the level of mastery and integration of soft skills, especially in the nine cases of this study.

The designing of high school / Islamic high school physics comic teaching materials has been done to improve students' critical thinking skills in Newton's Law material. The purpose of this research is to determine to develop a physics comic for high school / Islamic high school based on problem-based learning (PBL) to improve the creative thinking skills of students at MAN Sebukar. The research method used is the research and development method, namely the 4D development method which consists of 4 phases: defining, designing, developing and disseminating. At the defining stage, need analysis on curriculum, students, and materials were carried out. The designing stage was done by designing high school / Islamic high school physics comics based on problem based learning to improve students' creative thinking skills. At the developing stage, validity, practicality and effectiveness tests were carried out. Furthermore, the disseminating stage also carried out the practicality and effectiveness tests. At the defining stage, the analysis on results of the students’ score showed the low acquisition of students competencies is due to the low creative thinking skills of students, so a teaching material is designed that is in accordance with the student's needs, materials, and learning objectives that is expected to improve students’ learning competence, namely physics comics for senior high school students/Islamic senior high school students. Furthermore, at the designing stage, an initial draft of PBL-based for / Islamic high school physics comics was made in accordance with the curriculum used in the school where the research was conducted. And in the next stage, namely the developing stage, the analysis results were obtained from the development of physics comics for high school / Islamic high school which have valid (0.85), practical (94.67%), and effective criteria for skill assessment that are judges as very good category. And the final stage after developing stage, namely the disseminating stage, researchers carried out practicality and effectiveness tests in different classes and the practicality test results were obtained in the very practical category, namely 94.33% from students’ response questionnaires and effectiveness test results from the assessment of students knowledge with a percentage of completeness reaching 82.33. % in the very good category, the students' attitude competency reached an average score of 87.43% in the very good category, the skills competency reached an average score of 89.17% with the very good category. The designing of PBL-based high school / Islamic high school physics comics is able to improve students' creative thinking skill since it eventually gives impact on students’ scores.
