Abstract In this study, the author formulated the equation that describes the reaction rate (mathematical modelling) of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluen and hydroxyl radical (OH*) of v = 4.3×108×[CTNT]1.1×[COH*]3.2 and mathematical simulation for the reaction process of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluen and OH* radical. The simulation results showed a decrease in concentration [CTNT] and a reaction rate proportional to each other; during the first 0-30 minutes of the reaction, the reaction speed is very fast. From the experimental results, the authors also determined that the 2,4,6-trinitrotoluen treatment performance in wastewater of the nonthermal plasma model reached >99% when increasing the treatment time to 120 minutes.

Photocatalysis is an effective method of air purification at the condition of a higher pollutant concentration. However, its wide application in indoor air cleaning is limited due to the low level of indoor air contaminants. Immobilizing the nanosized TiO2particles on the surface of activated carbon filter (TiO2/AC film) could increase the photocatalytic reaction rate as a local high pollutant concentration can be formed on the surface of TiO2by the adsorption of AC. However, the pollutant removal still decreased quickly with the increase in flow velocity, which results in a decrease in air treatment capacity. In order to improve the air treatment capacity by the photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) method, this paper used formaldehyde (HCHO) as a contaminant to study the effect of combination of PCO with nonthermal plasma technology (NTP) on the removal of HCHO. The experimental results show that HCHO removal is more effective with line-to-plate electrode discharge reactor; the HCHO removal and the reaction rate can be enhanced and the amount of air that needs to be cleaned can be improved. Meanwhile, the results show that there is the synergistic effect on the indoor air purification by the combination of PCO with NTP.

To analyze the process of jet penetration in water medium quantitatively, the properties of jet penetration spaced target with water interlayer were studied through test and numerical simulation. Two theoretical models of jet penetration in water were proposed. The theoretical model 1 was established considering the impact of the shock wave, combined with the shock equation Rankine–Hugoniot and the virtual origin calculation method. The theoretical model 2 was obtained by fitting theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results. The effectiveness and universality of the two theoretical models were compared through the numerical simulation results. Both the models can reflect the relationship between the penetration velocity and the penetration distance in water well, and both the deviation and stability of theoretical model 1 are better than 2, the lower penetration velocity, and the larger deviation of the theoretical model 2. Therefore, the theoretical model 1 can reflect the properties of jet penetration in water effectively, and provide the reference of model simulation and theoretical research.

<p>Limonene is the fourth-most abundant monoterpene in the atmosphere, which upon oxidation leads to the formation of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) and thereby influences climate and air quality.</p><p>In this study, the oxidation of limonene by OH at different atmospherically relevant NO and HO2 levels (NO: 0.1 – 10 ppb; HO2: 20 ppt) was investigated in simulation experiments in the SAPHIR chamber at Forschungszentrum Jülich. The analysis focuses on comparing measured radical concentrations (RO2, HO2, OH) and OH reactivity (kOH) with modeled values calculated using the Master Chemical Mechanism (MCM) version 3.3.1.</p><p>At high and medium NO concentrations, RO2 is expected to quickly react with NO. An HO2 radical is produced during the process that can be converted back to an OH radical by another reaction with NO. Consistently, for experiments conducted at medium NO levels (~0.5 ppb, RO2 lifetime ~10 s), simulated RO2, HO2, and OH agree with observations within the measurement uncertainties, if the OH reactivity of oxidation products is correctly described.</p><p>At lower NO concentrations, the regeneration of HO2 in the RO2 + NO reaction is slow and the reaction of RO2 with HO2 gains importance in forming peroxides. However, simulation results show a large discrepancy between calculated radical concentrations and measurements at low NO levels (<0.1 ppb, RO2 lifetime ~ 100 s). Simulated RO2 concentrations are found to be overestimated by a factor of three; simulated HO2 concentrations are underestimated by 50 %; simulated OH concentrations are underestimated by about 35%, even if kOH is correctly described. This suggests that there could be additional RO2 reaction pathways that regenerate HO2 and OH radicals become important, but they are not taken into account in the MCM model.</p>

Among the vital processes of cutaneous wound healing are epithelialization and angiogenesis. The former leads to the successful closure of the wound while the latter ensures that nutrients are delivered to the wound region during and after healing is completed. These processes are regulated by various cytokines and growth factors that subtend their proliferation and migration into the wound region until full healing is attained. Wound epithelialization can be enhanced by the administration of epidermal stem cells (ESC) or impaired by the presence of an infection. This paper uses the Eden model of a growing cluster to independently simulate the processes of epithelialization and angiogenesis in a cutaneous wound for different geometries. Further, simulations illustrating bacterial infection are provided. Our simulation results demonstrate contraction and closure for any wound geometry due to a collective migration of epidermal cells from the wound edge in fractal form and the diffusion of capillary sprouts with the laying down of capillary blocks behind moving tips into the wound area.

In current practice the use of mathematical models is substantially widespread, reason being the recent increase in development of programs for this purpose, with the option of model simulation in a virtual environment, proportional to the evolving computer technology. The article contains a mathematical model created using Matlab program. The simulation results are compared with scientific literature that addresses DC motors and evaluated. For simplicity, a graphical interface was created.

in current, the software compatibility testing of Android system has been a difficulty, mainly because the software features of which has bigger difference cannot establish constrained detection analysis model. To solve this problem, a new compatibility analysis model of Android system is proposed. Android portfolio software is made compatibility testing modeling with a decomposition thought. The software features after decomposition are made repartition test modeling. The steady probability in different region combination is analyzed, and thus it represents the compatibility of Android system. Simulation results show that this kind of model can preferably complete the compatibility analysis work of Android system.
