The usage of mobile Internet service has been on the rise as more people become to use mobile devices. WiMAX, a mobile Internet service, was first commercialized in Korea in 2006. However, after first six months, a number of users discontinued the service and switched to other Internet services. Because customer retention is important for the success of any business, this research examines the factors that affect the continued usage of mobile Internet service. A user of a mobile Internet service is both a user of technology and consumer of services. Therefore, to examine the continued usage of mobile Internet service, the authors combine the value adoption model, representing the service consumer perspective, with the information systems continuance model, representing the technology user perspective. The study is conducted in the context of WiMAX. The data was collected from 200 WiMAX users. The model developed in this study is a unique contribution to theory as it discusses the continued adoption of a commercial information system.

Today, photo gallery applications on mobile devices tend to be stand-alone and offline. For people who want to share photos with others, many add-on tools have been developed to connect the gallery applications to Internet services to enable photo sharing. The author argues that photo-centric social interaction is best supported when the gallery application is fully integrated with an Internet service. In this case, no additional tools are needed and the user’s image content is fully synchronized with the service. To research the topic, Image Exchange, a service-integrated mobile gallery application with a corresponding Internet service, was designed and implemented. Moreover, a field study was conducted with 10 participants to compare Image Exchange with a state-of-the-art gallery application combined with an add-on photo sharing tool. Image Exchange was preferred by most participants and it was especially appreciated because of the user experience. Above all, the results show that social activity increased amongst the participants while using Image Exchange.

During the last several years a great deal has been written in academic and trade journals that has focused on security. There are several different terms often used, but the following—information security (InfoSec), computer security, and information assurance—are typically meant to be the same, that is, the protection of data, although information assurance is also expanded to include aspects such as personnel, plant, and equipment. While one main theme that has been written has been to improve the effectiveness and understanding of security, apply the various security concepts learned and understand the technologies developed, it is important to recognize that computer security may take on different meanings, dependent on the context that it is being discussed. Computer security is a very large field, and one that is often misunderstood. When we discuss computer security, are we discussing our personal computer at work or home? Are we discussing portable devices, such as mobile devices like Blackberries, PDAs, or laptops? Are we discussing security laws and regulations that might impact the safeguard of personal information, or could we be discussing, designing, and implementing, a risk-based security plan for an organization? It is therefore difficult to discuss computer security unless it is discussed in a frame of reference. Therefore, this paper will discuss some of the issues and concerns of computer security in different frames of reference, and the importance of teaching security with that focus in mind.

In developing countries, where most people have cell phones (even when they don't have reliable electricity or internet service), e-learning and m-learning offer great opportunities for educating a vast populace, particularly in rural communities. This article presents an analysis of primary data from over one thousand secondary school students in Indonesia, the fourth most populated nation in the world, to determine how they are using e-learning and m-learning and how device ownership influences that. The findings from the logistic regression models show that mobile devices are more important than traditional PCs in promoting e-learning, while tablets are better than smartphones for promoting m-learning. Having access to free wi-fi is equally important. Students who prefer m-learning on mobile devices over traditional e-learning activities on PCs tend to be more active and collaborative learners. These findings can help inform policy makers in improving the educational attainment in Indonesia and other developing countries.

Based on data released by the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association in 2018, 64.8% of Indonesia's population is internet users. The use of the internet is dominated by millennial, namely the age group born from the 1980s to the early 2000s. The high number of internet use apparently does not contribute to millennial to be creative in entrepreneurship. The Central Statistics Agency released data in 2019 which revealed that various types of unemployment were actually dominated by millennial. Based on the existing analysis, millennial in Timbangan Village has mobile devices but they have not been used to increase income. Therefore, the implementation of this Community Partnership Program needs to be held by conducting training in developing a millennial entrepreneurial spirit by utilizing the internet in Timbangan Village. The desired achievement targets in this PKM activity are: building youth independence in Timbangan Village by encouraging their intention to become entrepreneurs and maximizing youth knowledge in utilizing the internet for entrepreneurship.
