The framework of initiative coal mining system based on the perception layer of Internet of things (IOT), took the way of combination initiative acquisition, with timing and real time to implement “people, ring, and material” perception of the underground of coal mining is proposed. On this basis, coal mining material active perception system is designed. This system applies computer and IOT perception instead artificial operation in the current coal manufacturing equipment and material field. It is analyzed that design concepts of coal mining material active perception system, function and characteristics, system structure, information collecting, data synchronization and EPC coding of coal manufacturing equipment and material.

This paper presents a systematic approach to evaluation of the availability of an automated underground coal mining system, the longwall system. Five analytical models are developed by applying the techniques of reliability modeling and stochastic systems analysis. Each model is formulated to evaluate the availability of a longwall system with unique longwall operating logic. The application of these models is illustrated with a case study and the uses of the results are discussed.

Romusha was a form of labor force mobilization during the Japanese occupation. They are employed to build military infrastructure and explore mining or digging foxholes. One of the center of romusha was Bayah in South Banten. Romusha were came from different parts of Java Island and employed in the Bayah Kozan coal mine. The coal mining system carried out in Bayah, is a closed mine. Mining is done by making a hole to reach ader (ore tree). The mining pits and coal mining activities were conducted with simple equipment under the pressure and torture of the Japanese soldiers who supervised romusha. This paper aims to uncover traces romusha in South Banten through the remains of Japan in the form of Coal Mine Hole. The writing method used is descriptive analysis. Data collection through the activities of literature studies, field surveys, and interviews. The suffering experienced by the romusha in Bayah reflected from the pits where coal mines are numerous in the region Gunungmadur Bayah.

Coal mining by PT. Tambang Bukit Tambi uses an open pit mining system where one of the factors that can affect mining is water that entering the mining area, so water control must be carried out, one of the ways is by using mine dewatering system. The purpose of this study is 1) To know the debit of water entering the mining area. 2) To design a pumping plan 3) To create an ideal sump design for handling water that entering the mining area. Based on the research, the daily discharge is 32,243.36 m3 / day where the water discharge that can be released by 2  Kenflo XA 125 / 40B pumps is 640 m3 / hour in 50.38 hours and the water control effort is made a sump that must accommodate water amounting to 19,427.26 m3 and after the calculation is obtained a trapezoid-shaped sump design with size length and surface width of 63.7 m, length and width of the base of the sum of 60.9 m and depth of 5 meters.

The topic of the article is of great current interest due to increasing inconsistency between the real results of executive offi cers’ activity and the results required for maintaining the path of sustainable economic development of coal mining enterprises in Russia. The author suggests methodological approach to maintaining executive offi cers’ competitiveness at the coal mining enterprises; defi ne such notions as an executive offi cer and executive offi cers’ competitiveness, and revealed some major characteristics of social and economic results of executive offi cers’ work. The article presents the approach to estimating competitiveness which makes it possible to determine the competitive positions of executive offi cers and take urgent action to improve them. The authors introduce an enlarged scheme of maintaining competitive position of an executive officer based on the development of his managerial potential and competitive environment at the coal mining enterprises. They present methodological tools for estimating managerial potential and competitive environment of a company. In conclusion the author points out the priority of transformation of labour relations and institutes to improve competitive positions of the executive officers of coal mining enterprises.
