School as one of the processes for implementing formal education is required to carry out the learning process optimally to produce quality students. Regarding the research process carried out to predict the graduation rate of SMA Nurul Falah students by using the decision tree method. The data used in this study are student data using the criteria for student names, majors, average report cards from semester one (I), two (II), three (III), four (IV), five (V), and the average value of the National Standard School Examination (USBN). The data is then managed using Rapidminer 5.3 software to make it easier to predict student graduation rates. The application of data mining is used to predict the graduation rate by using the decision tree method and C4.5 algorithm as a supporter as well as to find out information on the graduation rate of Nurul Falah High School students. This study aims to predict student graduation rates in order to get useful information and the school can make policies in the coming year.

Graduating on time is one element of higher education accreditation assessment. In the Strata 1 level, students are declared to graduate on time if they can complete their studies <= eight semesters or four years. BAN-PT sets a timely graduation standard of >= 50%. If the standard is not met, it will reduce the value of accreditation. These problems encourage the Universitas Simalungun Pematangsiantar to conduct evaluations and strategic steps in an effort to increase student graduation rates so that the targets of BAN-PT can be achieved. For this reason it is necessary to know in advance the pattern of students who tend not to graduate on time. In this study, C4.5 Algorithm is proposed to predict student graduation. This algorithm will process student profile datasets totaling 150 data. This dataset has a graduation status label. The value of the label is categorical, that is, right and late. The features or attributes used, namely the name of the student, gender, student status, GPA. The results of the C4.5 algorithm are in the form of a decision tree model that is very easy to analyze. In fact, even by ordinary people. This model will map the patterns of students who have the potential to graduate on time and late.

One of the tasks in the field of marketing finance is to analyze customer data to find out which customers have the potential to do credit again. The method used to analyze customer data is by classifying all customers who have completed their credit installments into marketing targets, so this method causes high operational marketing costs. Therefore this research was conducted to help solve the above problems by designing a data mining application that serves to predict the criteria of credit customers with the potential to lend (credit) to Mega Auto Finance. The Mega Auto finance Fund Section located in Kotim Regency is a place chosen by researchers as a case study, assuming the Mega Auto finance Fund Section has experienced the same problems as described above. Data mining techniques that are applied to the application built is a classification while the classification method used is the Decision Tree (decision tree). While the algorithm used as a decision tree forming algorithm is the C4.5 Algorithm. The data processed in this study is the installment data of Mega Auto finance loan customers in July 2018 in Microsoft Excel format. The results of this study are an application that can facilitate the Mega Auto finance Funds Section in obtaining credit marketing targets in the future

In current, there are complex relationship between the assets of information security product. According to this characteristic, we propose a new asset recognition algorithm (ART) on the improvement of the C4.5 decision tree algorithm, and analyze the computational complexity and space complexity of the proposed algorithm. Finally, we demonstrate that our algorithm is more precise than C4.5 algorithm in asset recognition by an application example whose result verifies the availability of our algorithm.Keywordsdecision tree, information security product, asset recognition, C4.5

In pandemic era, almost everyone struggles for their life. College students are such example. They have difficulty in paying tuition fee to continue their study. Based on this problematic situation, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia grants the students who have good academic performance with tuition fee aid program. Many variables used for determining the grant made it hard to make a decision in a short time or even takes very long time. To make it easier for management to decide who is the right student to get grant, it needs classification model. The purpose of this study is the classification of grant recipients by using decision tree C4.5 algorithm. That can determine whether a potential student can be accepted as an awardee or not. Then, the results of the classification are validated with ten-fold cross validation with an accuracy, precision and recall with the score of 87 % for all part. It means the model perform quite well to be implemented into system.

Decision tree algorithm is a common classification algorithm in data mining technology, and its results are usually expressed in the form of if-then rules. The C4.5 algorithm is one of the decision tree algorithms, which has the advantages of easy to understand and high accuracy, and the concept of information gain rate is added compared with its predecessor ID3 algorithm. After theoretical analysis, C4.5 algorithm is chosen to analyze the performance appraisal results, and the decision tree for performance appraisal is generated by collecting data, data preprocessing, calculating information gain rate, determining splitting attributes, and postpruning. The system is developed in B/S architecture, and an R&D project management system and platform that can realize performance assessment analysis are built by means of visualization tools, decision tree algorithm, and dynamic web pages. The system includes information storage, task management, report generation, role authority control, information visualization, and other management information system functional modules. They can realize the project management functions such as project establishment and management, task flow, employee information filling and management, performance assessment system establishment, report generation of various dimensions, management cockpit construction. With decision tree algorithm as the core technology, the system obtains scientific and reliable project management information with high accuracy and realizes data visualization, which can assist enterprises to establish a good management system in the era of big data.

One of the dangers that occur at the beach is rip current. Rip current poses significant danger for beachgoers. This paper proposes a method to predict the rip current's occurence risk by using decision tree generated using C4.5 algorithm. The output from the decision tree is rip current's occurrence risk. The case study for this research is the beach located at Rote Island, Rote Ndao, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Evaluation result shows that the accuracy is 0.84, and the precision is 0.61. The average recall value is 0.68 and the average F-measure is 0.59 in the range 0 to 1.
