The selection of the resources system (SRS) is an important element in the integration/project of Agile/Virtual Enterprises (A/V E) because its performance is dependent of this selection, and even of its creation. However, it remains a difficult matter to solve because is still a very complex and uncertain problem. We propose that using Value Analysis (VA) in the pre-selection of resources phase represents a significant improvement of the SRS process. The current literature fails to formally address the pre-selection phase and none of the resource selection models incorporate the resources value and its consequence in the complexity of the selection process. Whereby, ours developed model with VA constitutes an innovative approach towards greater sustainability in the configuration of A/V E in the context of Industry 4.0, where a massive interconnection among enterprises is expected and consequently the increase of the selection process complexity. After the construction of a demonstrator tool for a set of the problem formulations, this paper verifies by computational results the thesis regarding the benefits of applying VA to the SRS process: VA reduces the complexity of the SRS process, even ensuring that the final system of resources achieve higher quality/value grade.

A pattern analysis approach, based on classification and ordination, is presented for the characterization of environmental contributions to differences among lines in mean performance and response across environments. Other approaches to the analysis of line performance and environmental interactions are also considered. A population of soybean lines is used to illustrate the analyses for two characters, seed yield and seed protein percentage. In general, correlation of line performance over environments indicated that only moderate similarity of relative line performance existed over years or locations. These associations did not provide a clear basis for rationalization of test sites. Partitioning of variance components allowed a general strategy for sampling environments to be defined. Marked differences existed among environments for their contribution to environmental interaction, and these generally were consistent among locations for the two years of testing. Classificatory and ordination analyses were applied separately, and the contributions of each of the test environments were determined. These procedures confirmed that large differences in line response existed among environments, and provided additional and complementary information about the contributions of particular test environments to those differences. The effect of abandoning particular test sites on the recognition of differences among lines was examined by pattern analysis. The implications of the information gained through the pattern analysis approach in the development of testing strategies, and in the selection of test environments for specific objectives, are discussed.

There exists a large number of works aimed at the application of Extreme Value Statistics to corrosion. However, there is a lack of studies devoted to the applicability of the Gumbel method to the prediction of maximum pitting-corrosion depth. This is especially true for works considering the typical pit densities and spatial patterns in long, underground pipelines. In the presence of spatial pit clustering, estimations could deteriorate, raising the need to increase the total inspection area in order to obtain the desired accuracy for the estimated maximum pit depth. In most practical situations, pit-depth samples collected along a pipeline belong to distinguishable groups, due to differences in corrosion environments. For example, it is quite probable that samples collected from the pipeline’s upper and lower external surfaces will differ and represent different pit populations. In that case, maximum pit-depth estimations should be made separately for these two quite different populations. Therefore, a good strategy to improve maximum pit-depth estimations is critically dependent upon a careful selection of the inspection area used for the extreme value analysis. The goal should be to obtain sampling sections that contain a pit population as homogenous as possible with regard to corrosion conditions. In this study, the aforementioned strategy is carefully tested by comparing extreme-value-oriented Monte Carlo simulations of maximum pit depth with the results of inline inspections. It was found that the variance to mean ratio, a measure of randomness, and the mean squared error of the maximum pit-depth estimations were considerably reduced, compared with the errors obtained for the entire pipeline area, when the inspection areas were selected based on corrosion-condition homogeneity.

Kata kunci: kohesi, referensi persona, teks pariwisata, wacana AbstractThis research is directed at the study of tourism discourse texts with the discourse analysis approach. The problem studied is the linguistic aspects of the building of the discourse text cohesion in the form of grammatical cohesion of persona references in the pariwisa text on the pesonaindonesia.kompas.com page. The aim is to describe the linguistic aspects of grammatical cohesion of references to charms in the tourism text in digital media, the results of which can be used as a basis for responding to the demands of the quality of creative promotional communication strategies. This research is a descriptive qualitative type in linguistics. The data source is from pesonaindonesia.kompas.com website / page from January to October 2019. The data is in the form of a tourism discourse text. The method of data collection is done by referring to the method. Data were analyzed by the method of distribution. The results showed that the tourism text uses grammatical aspects of the first, second, and third persona reference cohesion. The second persona reference dominates in the tourism text on the pesonaindonesia.kompas.com page. in order to create wholeness and cohesiveness of discourse. Furthermore, the selection of the reference persona is intended to get closer to the reader and has persuasive implications for the reader. Keywords: discourse, cohesion, personal pronouns, tourism text
