In this work a class of functions is studied, which are built with the help of significant bits sequences on the ring ℤ2n. This class is built with use of a function ψ: ℤ2n → ℤ2. In public literature there are works in which ψ is a linear function. Here we will use a non-linear ψ function for this set. It is known that the period of a polynomial F in the ring ℤ2n is equal to T(mod 2)2α, where α∈ , n01- . The polynomials for which it is true that T(F) = T(F mod 2), in other words α = 0, are called marked polynomials. For our class we are going to use a polynomial with a maximum period as the characteristic polyomial. In the present work we show the bounds of the given class: non-linearity, the weight of the functions, the Hamming distance between functions. The Hamming distance between these functions and functions of other known classes is also given.

These studies fail to confirm the statements previously made that microorganisms of the class of the globoid bodies of poliomyelitis may be cultivated in the Smith-Noguchi medium from the so called virus of encephalitis lethargica. They show equally that the herpes virus does not multiply in this medium. The experiments indicate, moreover, that the medium is unfavorable to the survival of the virus, while ordinary broth under aerobic conditions is more favorable for maintaining the activity of both the encephalitic and the herpes viruses. Probably no multiplication of either takes place in the latter medium but merely a survival, and for a maximum period of 6 days in the broth itself, and 12 days in the fragment of brain tissue immersed in the broth. Finally, it has been shown that with a suitable technique the viruses can be passed from the brain of one rabbit to that of another through a long series without contamination with cocci or other common bacterial forms. Hence we regard all reports of the finding of ordinary bacteria in the brain of cases of epidemic or lethargic encephalitis as instances of mixed or secondary infection arising during life, or examples of postmortem invasion of the body, or of faulty technique at the autopsy.

Thirty-nine species of scleractinian corals have been recovered from under a high dune on the western (mainland) side of North Stradbroke Island, eastern Australia. The corals are associated with thin intertidal sediments and their good condition implies burial in situ and preservation in a saturated zone. Most likely this occurred as the coast prograded and a large dune advanced into the littoral zone, burying intertidal sediments and coral. The species assemblage indicates a sheltered environment but one open to the ocean without wide fluctuations in salinity. Three species yielded a mean 230Th/234U age of 105,000 yr B.P. which is significantly younger than the nearest Pleistocene corals at Evans Head, New South Wales. The corals provide evidence of a sea stand near present sea level during isotope Stage 5c, which is considerably higher than previously suggested for this period. Their good condition implies that the overlying parabolic dune is of comparable age and formed during that high stand of sea level. Also, the isotope age provides a maximum period for the development of giant podzols in the podzol chronosequences on coastal dunes in southern Queensland.

Over the past few years, there has been an increase in the number of studies reporting on various aspects of the Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART) approach. Five randomized clinical trials in which ART restorations with glass ionomers were compared with amalgam restorations in permanent teeth for a maximum period of 3 yrs constituted the database. This meta-analysis divided the publications into ‘early’ (1987–1992) and ‘late’ (1995-) studies on the basis of improvements in the approach. The analysis showed that, in the ‘early’ studies, single-surface amalgam restorations survived statistically significantly longer than comparable ART restorations after 1, 2, and 3 yrs. This trend did not continue into the late group of studies; no statistically significant difference between the 2 types of restorations was found. Based on the available data, it appears that there is no difference in survival results between single-surface ART restorations and amalgam restorations in permanent teeth over the first 3 yrs.

The maximum duration of the detention in custody and house arrest measures in criminal cases is researched. A number of issues have been considered regarding the calculation of the term and its initial and final moments, including the hypotheses related to the returning of the case to the prosecutor by the court, the taking of the measures against an accused party detained on different grounds, as well as in view of a modification of the legal qualification of the indictment, establishing a different maximum duration under Art. 63, para. 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code. An emphasis has been placed on the disputable aspect of the duration of the period in regard to underage accused parties. A necessity to introduce a maximum period of detention in custody and house arrest,including also the court phase of the trial, has been acknowledged.

We evaluate how much of the fling effect is removed from the NGA database and accompanying GMPEs due to standard strong motion processing. The analysis uses a large set of finite-fault simulations, processed with four different high-pass filter corners, representing the distribution within the PEER ground motion database. The effects of processing on the average horizontal component, the vertical component, and peak ground motion values are evaluated by taking the ratio between unprocessed and processed values. The results show that PGA, PGV, and other spectral values are not significantly affected by processing, partly thanks to the maximum period constraint used when developing the NGA GMPEs, but that the bias in peak ground displacement should not be ignored.

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara kepulauan terbesar di dunia sehingga peran pelabuhan sangat vital dalam pembangunan ekonomi. Pelabuhan bukan hanya sekedar sebagai pelengkap infrastruktur, melainkan harus direncanakan dan dikelola dengan baik serta memperhatikan fenomena dinamika perairan laut seperti pola gelombang laut. Data gelombang laut menjadi faktor penting dalam perencanaan tata letak dan tipe bangunan pantai karena dipengaruhi oleh tinggi gelombang signifikan, tunggang pasang surut dan transformasi gelombang. Penelitian ini mengalisis karaketristrik dan bentuk transformasi gelombang untuk perencanaan Pelabuhan Hub Internasional, sebagai studi kasus adalah pelabuhan di Kuala Tanjung, Kabupaten Batu Bara. Pelabuhan di Kuala Tanjung merupakan salah satu dari 2 pelabuhan hub internasional yang direncanakan akan dibangun oleh pemerintah Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif yang dilakukan dengan perhitungan statistik dan pemodelan matematik dengan modul hydrodinamic dan spectral wave untuk mengetahui arah penjalaran dan transformasi gelombang. Hasil dari data ECMWF selama 1999–Juni 2014, diketahui tinggi gelombang signifikan (Hs) maksimum mencapai 1,69 m dan periode maksimum 8 detik. Karakteristik gelombang termasuk klasifikasi gelombang laut transisi dengan nilai d.L-1 berkisar anrata 0,27–0,48 dan berdasarkan periodenya diklasifikasikan sebagai gelombang gravitasi.Transformasi gelombang terjadi akibat pendangkalan dengan koefesian pendangkalan Ks 0,93–0,98 dan proses refraksi gelombang dengan koefesien Kr 0,97–0,99. Tinggi gelombang pecah Hb sebesar 1,24 meter dengan kedalaman gelombang pecah db sebesar 1,82 meter. Efektifitas desain bangunan terminal di Pelabuhan Kuala Tanjung secara keseluruhan untuk sepanjang musim sebesar 79,8% atau dapat dikatakan cukup efektif dalam meredam gelombang. Port is not just as a complement to the infrastructure, but it must be planned and managed properly and attention to the dynamics of marine phenomena such as ocean wave patterns. Ocean wave data become important factors in planning coastal building, since it is influenced by wave height, tides and waves transformation. The purpose of this study was to analyse characteristic and forms wave transformations for planning of international hub port at Kuala Tanjung, Baru Bara District North Sumatra. This port is one of two Indonesian government's plan in the development of international hub port. Quantitative method was used in this study by statistical calculations and mathematical modeling with hydrodinamic modules and spectral wave to determine the direction of wave propagation and transformation. Results show that based on ECMWF data during 1999-June 2014, known significant wave height (Hs) maximum of 1.69 m and maximum period (Ts) of 8 secs. The classification wave characteristics iswave transition (d.L-1: 0.27–0.48) and by the period are classified as gravitational waves. Wave transformation occurs due to the soaling, withKs 0.93–0.98 and the wave refraction Kr 0.97–0.99. Whereas Hb of 1.24 meters anddb 1.82 meters. The effectiveness of the design of the terminal building at the Port of Kuala Tanjung overall for the season amounted to 79.8%, which is quite effective in reducing the wave. For the reason that approximately 95% of the population of Russia is located in urban and rural settlements, therefore, the construction system of Russia should recognize the «construction of settlements» as its main task. However, in federal laws and regulations of the Russian Federation construction content is not even recognized as “capital construction objects”. Moreover, Federal Law No. 384-FZ does not even contain a record that the individual buildings and structures considered in them are intended (not intended) for construction in the territories of settlements. The article substantiates that mass residential and public buildings in order to protect the life and health of people under the influence of hazardous natural phenomena should be erected only with the maximum period of their operation.

Indonesia is one of signatory member of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Children, which requires the State to guarantee that no children may suffer torture or other cruelty, whether it is humane action or degrading treatment or punishment. Protection of children in criminal cases is categorized as special protection that requires special treatment in handling the cases.Decency crimes generally lead to condemnation from the community; it especially comes from parents that happen to girls and boys, regarding the crime of rape, obscene acts, pedophiles and others. The arrangements that can be imposed on perpetrators prior to the existence of special laws governing pedophiles namely articles 289, 290, 292, which are regulated in the Criminal Code and articles 81, 82 and article 76D which are regulated in Law No. 16 of 2017 on the amendment of Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning children protection.In law No. 17 of 2016 amendment to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection, it is stated in law No. 16 of 2017 enhances the sanctions for the child sexual violence perpetrators, namely by chemical castration or injection of chemical liquids and installing chips as electronic detection devices. Such actions will be punished within a maximum period of two years and it is implemented after the convict is serving a basic sentence.
