The time has come that people need to think about saving fuel seriously because burning too much of fuel can cause a large number of environmental pollutions. The concept of making the battery operated electric vehicle comes as a rescue. In one hand it helps to save fuels and on the other it helps in lowering the level of air pollution; which helps in improving the health condition of the populace. Even though several automobile manufacturers have introduced Hybrid Vehicles (hybrid vehicles generally utilize a traditional combustion engine and a fuel tank, as well as one or more electric motors and a battery pack). This paper is going to propose an electric motorcycle security system based on ARM microcontroller, 8051 microcontroller, ZigBee and GSM communication which can be utilized both in Hybrid motorcycles and Electric motorcycles. When the proposed security features will be merged with those vehicles it will be an evolutionary concept in the world of next generation two-wheeler industry because besides lowering the level of air pollution and helping in controlling the use of fuel it mainly helps people to drive motorcycles safely.

In order to maintain a sustainable development and pollution free environment, hybrid vehicles are being made, which have the advantages of both I.C. engines and electric motors. Till date, hybrid technology implemented in a two wheeler has not hit the market yet due to cost issues and nonavailability of resources. We have made an attempt to implement hybrid technology in two wheelers. We have modified a conventional motorcycle using double sprocket, flywheel, brushless DC electric motor and an alternator. We have installed all the components, tested and found it to be successful as it satisfies our objectives by showing enhanced performance.

The paper considers the synthesis of mathematical model of recuperation braking mode for hybrid vehicle as a complex control object. The results of computer simulation as diagrams of transients of different operating parameters of hybrid vehicle power system are obtained on the basis of developed model. The analysis of simulation results confirms the adequacy of the mathematic model of the recuperation braking mode of hybrid vehicle to real processes. The developed model can be used for synthesis of automatic control systems of the electric motors, power converters, power supplies and chargers for hybrid vehicles.

The fossil based fuel crisis and environmental degradation issues have caused the transportation system to use electric motors as an alternative to combustion engines. The emergence of electric hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles has been a sign that the revolution in the field of transportation has reached the implementation stage. DC motors that are capable to generate large torque becomes an option at first, but due to its limitations then other types of motors which have advantages such as DC motor but eliminating the its weakness are developed. BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motors and switched reluctance motors are priority in implementation. This paper describes the characteristics and performance of the three motors which can be used as the background for developing environmentally friendly transportation system

Abstract Thanks to technological development, and the more and more strict environmental regulations, electric and hybrid vehicles are playing an increasingly important role in road transport. An important part of these vehicles is the electric motor, which has several different types that are applied in modern vehicles. To perform the simulation of the motors, it is important to measure their basic electromagnetic and dynamic parameters, since they are usually not provided by the manufacturers. For the above measurements a complex measuring system is needed. This motor test bench is also suitable for the static and dynamic testing of different types of electric motors. In this publication the layout of our own developed test bench is presented.
