Abstract Thanks to technological development, and the more and more strict environmental regulations, electric and hybrid vehicles are playing an increasingly important role in road transport. An important part of these vehicles is the electric motor, which has several different types that are applied in modern vehicles. To perform the simulation of the motors, it is important to measure their basic electromagnetic and dynamic parameters, since they are usually not provided by the manufacturers. For the above measurements a complex measuring system is needed. This motor test bench is also suitable for the static and dynamic testing of different types of electric motors. In this publication the layout of our own developed test bench is presented.

The article presents the development of a SHM (Structural Health Monitoring) strategy intended to confirm the improvement of the load-bearing capacity of a bridge over the Ružín Dam using static and dynamic load tests, as well as numerical simulations. The paper comprises measurements of the global response of the bridge to prepare a verified and validated FEM (Finite Element Method) model. A complex measuring system used for the tests consisted of two main parts: an interferometric IBIS-S (Image by Interferometric Survey-Structures) radar and a multichannel vibration and strain data logger. Next, structure–vehicle interactions were modelled, and non-linear numerical dynamic analyses were performed. As a result, the time histories of displacements of the structure from traffic effects were obtained. Their comparison with IBIS-S radar records proves that this method can be effectively used for assessing bridges subjected to common traffic loads. The results (measured accelerations) obtained by local tests in external pre-stressed cables are presented and a convenient method for acquiring the axial force in the cables is proposed.

The project “Experimental State of Thrust Testing of Aircraft Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine” is aimed at creating a complex measuring device in order to obtain selected characteristics and parameters of the engine using different types of propellers. In addition to the basic measured parameters such as. thrust, temperature, speed and fuel flow will be a state of the art to test the latest prototype propellers designed for aircraft models. After its construction, the experimental state will be used as a study aid for testing various types of conventional as well as currently developed propellers, engine characteristics and teaching of the whole equipment in the process of teaching, training of aircraft mechanics and for presentation purposes of the University of Žilina.

It’s suggested to adjust the existing normative documents, in particular the first version of GOST R 8.596-20xx “State system for ensuring the uniformity of measurements. Metrological assurance for measuring systems. Main principles”. The aim of the proposed adjustment is to legitimate the nuclear power plants complex measuring systems application, taking into account their peculiarities in the sphere of state regulation of ensuring the unity of measurements. Generally complex measuring systems possess all features of the adaptive and intelligent measuring systems, which parameters and algorithms can vary during operation. Therefore, it is proposed for adaptive and intelligent measuring systems and for branched measuring channels, to provide the possibility of dividing into separate measuring components without the whole system or channel approving. The systems and channels measuring components are proposed to be considered as approval measuring instruments, which interaction is regulated by certified measurement techniques. When selecting the boundaries of the measuring system or channel, it is proposed to provide the possibility to be guided by the reasonability of the sorting the technical means or operations involved in parameter control as metrologically significant. In addition, it is proposed to introduce a statute that allows to avoid the type approving of the “degenerate” systems consisting of one or more simple channels formed only by the measuring means.

The basic ideas of mathematical modeling of optimal dynamic measurements are presented. The key thing is to construct a mathematical model of the measuring transducer, which allows simulating also a complex measuring transducer. In this manuscript we propose such a mathematical model and we discuss its results obtained through numerical studies in a variety of cases: from the simplest, without considering disturbances, to the case when a deterministic disturbance, for example resonances, occur at the input and at the output of the measuring transducer. Lastly, the importance of the description of the set of admissible measurements in the modeling of dynamic measurements is discussed.

Describes a device and methods for automated laser comparator for calibration of digital leveling equipment. The comparator created by the technology of the Finnish Geodetic Institute and placed in the building of the geodetic calibration laboratory of geodetic polygon of FSBE “Centre of geodesy, cartography and SDI”. Shows the main technical characteristics, modes of operation and basic procedures in the calibration of bar-code leveling rods. It is noted that the comparator is a complex measuring system in the form of high-precision optical-electronic stand, consisting of individual mechanical, optical and electronic components and assemblies. One of the features of the design of the comparator is the vertical positioning of its component parts, which allows to determine the error of position of the strokes of the scale of the rod in a working position. Based on the results of verification receive corrections to readings on a rod scale and a linear coefficient of expansion of the material from which rod is made. Lists the possible measurement errors in the verification process and the peculiarities of metrological assurance of operation of the comparator. Formulated one of the immediate tasks in the testing of the comparator

A complex measuring campaign has been performed including the simultaneous measurement of vehicle, track, and soil vibrations during train runs at 16, 25, 40, 63, 80, 100, 125, 140, and 160 km/h and impulse measurements of the passenger car, three track sections, and the soil. A ballast track on the soil surface and on a concrete bridge has been investigated as well as a slab track in a tunnel. The evaluation and comparison of all these data show a generally good agreement for all components if the strong low- and high-frequency cut-off characteristics of the layered and damped soil are incorporated. There is a strong causal correlation between the vehicle and the soil by the dynamic excitation forces and a weak relation between the track and the soil by the axle-sequence spectrum of the train. However, the similarity between the axle-impulse spectrum observed at the track and the spectra of the ground vibration leads to the special excitation component of “scattered axle impulses” which is predominant at the far field points of the soil.

This research aims to identify the factors that support and hold back the linkage between enterprises and universities. The subject of investigation and survey of the theoretical model is based on a survey of 269 enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. The research identified four factor groups affecting the relationship between enterprises and universities. Among them, two supportive factor groups are context and organization factors; and two inhibitive factor groups are difference in the characteristics of activities and in the perception of enterprises about universities. The research proposed a more complex measuring scale of activity differences affecting the cooperation between enterprises and universities. The aim of the research results is to increase linkage executions between enterprises and universities nowadays.
