Contemporary tendencies relentlessly dictate the conditions for the appearance of a more qualitative, reliable and comfortable elevator chain for the rolling stock of a vertical motion. At the same time, the issues of energy saving and cost-effective use of resources gain currency against the background of rising prices for energy carriers and market prices for various elements that play an essential role in the availability of many electromechanical systems. Unfortunately, attention was paid to the availability of above problems in the elevator sector when the majority of the elevators (about 60% of them) outlived their technical service life that ensured the reliable operation. As a matter of fact, an amazingly important issue is relating to the embedment of reliable, durable and economically substantiated components of electromechanical systems into contemporary Ukrainian elevators. The purpose of the research done was to define the main parameters and performances of the asynchronous elevator motor of an ADB180M6 type. The motor is powered from the industrial network of 50 Hz and the frequency converter with the frequency of 50Hz and 16.6 Hz. This scientific paper uses the methods of physical investigations. The elevator motor test data satisfy the reliability parameters that make any elevator user feel comfortable. The main measurement data obtained for the engine No43886 of an ADB180M6 type powered from the frequency converter “Altivar” of 22kW with the motor speed of 910 rpm and 289 rpm satisfy the requirements of the regulatory documentation. The noise level is within satisfactory margins.

Introduction: Motor Performance (MP) in children is an important resource for their future active lifestyle and health. Monitoring of MP is crucial to derive information of trends and to implement specific programs on the base of current MP levels. A variety of MP assessment tools exist, making it difficult to determine a “gold-standard” for assessment and to compare the findings. In Germany, the German Motor Test 6–18 (GMT 6–18) and Kinderturntest Plus 3–10 (KITT+ 3–10) are widely used MP assessment tools. The aim of this paper is to show which key questions can be answered within the context of a best practice example of a MP assessment tool and what can be derived from this for a practical application (the Fitness Barometer).Methods: The raw data of the Fitness Barometer was collected with the MP assessment tools GMT 6–18 and KITT+ 3–10 from 2012 through 2020. Data was pooled anonymously with the e-Research infrastructure MO|REdata and categorized into percentiles for MP and BMI. Overall, we included data of 23,864 children for the statistical analyses. T-tests for independent samples, percentage frequency analysis, descriptive statistics (chi- square-test) and single analysis of variance were conducted.Results and Discussion: Children tested reached a mean value of 57.03 (SD = 18.85). Of the sample, 12.7% children were overweight or obese and there is a significant difference between age groups [χ(4)2 = 178.62, p < 0.001, Cramer V = 0.09; n = 23.656]. The relationship between BMI category and mean value of MP was significant [F(4,19,523) = 224.81, p < 0.001]. During 2020, the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, mean value of endurance and speed decreased [Welch's F(1,573) = 8.08, p = 0.005; Welch's F(1,610) = 35.92, p < 0.001]. The GMT 6–18 and KITT+ 3–10 are valid, objective, reliable, and economic MP assessment tools for monitoring MP levels and derive added practical value. Specific programs and interventions should focus on the findings of these. The Fitness Barometer is a best practice example how a standardized assessment tool of monitoring MP point to trends on which practical evidence-based suggestions can be derived with many various partners and expertise.

Abstract Background Few randomized clinical trials have explored the health effects of bilberries in humans. The aim was to test the effect of bilberry and red grape-juice consumption on visual memory, motor speed and dexterity as well as inflammatory and tissue damage biomarkers of plasma in aged men with subjective memory impairment. Methods Nine-week double-blind, placebo-controlled, dietary intervention study of aged men (n = 60, age ≥ 67 years) with subjective memory impairment randomized to consume a 50/50 mix of bilberry/red grape-juice or an iso-caloric placebo juice. A selection of Cambridge Cognition Test Battery (CANTAB), Grooved Pegboard tests and blood-sampling for biomarker analysis were performed before and after the intervention. Results Compared to placebo the selected memory and motor test scores were un-affected by the bilberry/red grape intervention. However, the plasma levels of tissue damage biomarkers decreased significantly more in the bilberry/red grape group. In particular lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) decreased from 362 U/L (median, baseline) to 346 U/L (median, post intervention) in the bilberry/red grape group. Also, several biomarkers of inflammation (EGF, IL6, IL9, IL10 and TNFα) decreased significantly more in the bilberry/red grape group. Furthermore, several plasma polyphenols; p-coumaric acid, hippuric acid, protocatechuic acid, 3HPAA and vanillic acid, increased significantly more in the bilberry/red grape group compared to placebo with the largest increase in p-coumaric acid with 116%; from 2.2 [1.0,5.5] to 4.7 [2.8,8.1] μM/L (median [95% CL]). Conclusions The results indicate that a nine-week bilberry/red grape juice intervention has no measurable effects on the selected memory scores in aged men experiencing memory problems but decreases the level of biomarkers of inflammation and tissue damage. Whether the dampening effects on inflammation and tissue damage biomarkers have relevance for neuroinflammatory brain pathology remains to be established. We describe two models of Power Transistors (IGBT, MOSFET); both were successfully used for the analysis of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) while modeling high-voltage systems (PFC, DC/DC, inverter, etc.). The first semi-mathematical–behavioral insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) model introduces nonlinear negative feedback generated in the semiconductor’s p+ and n+ layers, which are located near the metal contact of the IGBT emitter, to better describe the dynamic characteristics of the transistor. A simplified model of the metal–oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) in the IGBT is used to simplify this IGBT model. The second simpler behavioral model could be used to model both IGBTs and MOSFETs. Model parameters are obtained from datasheets and then adjusted using results from a single measurement test. Modeling results are compared with measured turn-on and turn-off waveforms for different types of IGBTs. To check the validation of the models, a brushless DC electric motor test setup with an inverter was created. Despite the simplicity of the presented models, a comparison of model predictions with hardware measurements revealed that the model accurately forecasted switch transients and aided EMI–EMC investigations.

Being physically fit in younger years prevents several diseases in the presence as well as in the life course. Therefore, monitoring physical fitness and motor competence through motor testing is essential for determining developmental status and identifying health-related risks. The main objectives of this systematic review were (1) to identify currently available health-related criterion-referenced standards and cut-off points for physical fitness and motor competence test items, (2) to frame the methodological background on setting health-related criterion-referenced standards and (3) to give implications for a health-related evaluation system for physical fitness and motor competence tests. The electronic data base search (PubMed, Web of Science and SURF) yielded 2062 records in total and identified six empirical studies reporting cut-off points of motor test items for children (7–10 years), as well as 30 methodological papers discussing determination approaches to health-related criterion-referenced standards. Data collection, selection and analyses followed the PRISMA guidelines. Health-related motor test standards need to be gender- and age-specific but should refer to an absolute cut-off point rather than to relative performance in the reference group. Due to the lack of data on health-related criterion referenced standards, receiver-operating-characteristic (ROC) curves provide a tool for the determination of cut-off points and criterion referenced standards for physical fitness and motor competence tests. A standardized approach forms the fundamental base for a globally applicable evaluation of health-related fitness tests.

Renewable energy vehicle reducers are now being developed towards achieving high-speeds, high-torque, and high-integration and intelligent trends. Its performance also determines the operation state and reliability of vehicles. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct the online condition assessment and remaining useful life predictions for renewable energy vehicle reducers. In those methods, the trend index construction is one of the most crucial steps. Hence, an adaptive trend index-driven remaining useful life prediction method is proposed to conduct condition assessment and prediction of renewable energy vehicle reducers. Firstly, an adaptive trend index is constructed, where the difference of the Fourier amplitude spectrum between the initial state and the current state is calculated to present the health trend index. Secondly, the reducer’s performance degradation model is built. In order to conduct remaining useful life prediction, the particle filtering is used to update the parameters of the reducer’s performance degradation model with the constructed adaptive trend index. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, an accelerated life test is conducted on a three-motor test bed to achieve the life-cycle data of reducers. The proposed method is verified with the obtained data and compared with the commonly used ARIMA model. The test results show that the proposed method achieves better results than the traditional methods. It means that the proposed method is a potential one for the real-time monitoring of the health state of renewable energy vehicle reducers.

Abstract In order to avoid the resonance of the bench and the laboratory floor, it is necessary to carry out vibration analysis and dynamic design on the motor test bench. Firstly, the lightweight target and the constraint conditions related to the rigid body modal frequency and elastic modal frequency of the platform are set, and the structure of the platform is optimized. Then, the three-dimensional model of the whole bench is built and the finite element is meshed to carry out modal analysis. The optimized modal analysis results show that the natural frequencies of the designed bench will not be excited by various vibration excitation forces at the set speed of motor test, the vibration isolation rate of the lower bracket reaches more than 52% (except that the vibration isolation rate of the lower bracket is 36.30% at 1000 rpm), which effectively eliminates the resonance problem between the bench and foundation during motor NVH test, and the normal performance of motor and NVH test can be effectively ensured.

Abstract Thanks to technological development, and the more and more strict environmental regulations, electric and hybrid vehicles are playing an increasingly important role in road transport. An important part of these vehicles is the electric motor, which has several different types that are applied in modern vehicles. To perform the simulation of the motors, it is important to measure their basic electromagnetic and dynamic parameters, since they are usually not provided by the manufacturers. For the above measurements a complex measuring system is needed. This motor test bench is also suitable for the static and dynamic testing of different types of electric motors. In this publication the layout of our own developed test bench is presented.
