This paper presents an extensive characterising study of two novel electromagnetic actuators, each with different constructions and characteristics aiming to analyse the behaviour and output characteristics of the two designs. The two actuators are Tubular Linear Reluctance Actuator (TLRA) and Tubular Linear Permanent magnet (TLPM) with Halbach array actuator. The study covered the variation of three parameters, which are the actuator air gap, number of turns and actuator size. A comparative section was also presented for the purpose of comparison. The study concentrated extensively on the two characteristics of both actuators known as output thrust force and working range as they are considered as two main concerns of any actuator design. The simulation was used to show the differences between the two designs in many design aspects such as force, displacement and effects of parameters variations. The applied simulation was performed using 3D Finite-element Ansys software, which is capable of showing the magnetic field distribution in the whole actuator and predicting the strength and length of the output stroke.

The purpose of this study was to determinate , using the Finite Element Analysis Method, the mechanical stress in a solid body , temporary molar restored with the self-curing GC material. The originality of our study consisted in using an accurate structural model and applying a concentrated force and a uniformly distributed pressure. Molar structure was meshed in a Solid Type 45 and the output data were obtained using the ANSYS software. The practical predictions can be made about the behavior of different restorations materials.

Conventional methods of design to be completed ordinary hydraulic transmission gear gearbox design, but for such a non-planet-rule entity, and the deformation of the planet-gear contact stress will have a great impact on the planet gear, it will be very difficult According to conventional design. In this paper, ANSYS software to the situation finite element analysis, the planetary gear to simulate modeling study.

The paper presents research on magnetic field exciters dedicated to testing magnetocaloric materials (MCMs) as well as used in the design process of magnetic refrigeration systems. An important element of the proposed test stand is the system of magnetic field excitation. It should provide a homogeneous magnetic field with a controllable value of its intensity in the MCM testing region. Several concepts of a magnetic circuit when designing the field exciters have been proposed and evaluated. In the MCM testing region of the proposed exciters, the magnetic field is controlled by changing the structure of the magnetic circuit. A precise 3D field model of electromagnetic phenomena has been developed in the professional finite element method (FEM) package and used to design and analyze the exciters. The obtained results of the calculations of the magnetic field distribution in the working area were compared with the results of the measurements carried out on the exciter prototype. The conclusions resulting from the conducted research are presented and discussed.

To research the load upper bracket of Francis hydroelectric unit, then established the finite-element model, and analyzed the structure stress of 7 operating condition points with the ANSYS software. By the strain rosette test, acquired the data of stress-strain in the area of stress concentration of the upper bracket. The inaccuracy was considered below 5% by analyzing the contradistinction between the finite-element analysis and the test, and match the engineering precision and the test was reliable. The finite-element method could be used to judge the stress of the upper bracket, and it could provide reference for the Structural optimization and improvement too.

According to the situation that the dual-friction drums on the new type towing machine lack stress analysis when designed, the safety is difficult to test and verify. The pull of wire rope in various positions was derived and calculated, so both compressive stress and tangent friction force generated by the pull of wire rope were calculated. The result made by ANSYS software demonstrates the safety of the left drum which suffers from larger loads, structure improvement measures are put forward for the drum.

Introduction. The article analyzes the microclimate parameters (temperature, speed and air pressure) in the metallurgical crane cabin provided by the air conditioning system using the finite element method integrated into the ANSYS software package. The metallurgical crane cabin air conditioning system was selected based on the engineering calculation of the required air flow rate supply, taking into account factors that affect the system performance, such as the location of the equipment and the degree of its dustiness. Problem Statement. The purpose of this research was to check the efficiency of the air conditioning system of the metallurgical crane cabin, which was selected based on the results of the engineering calculations. Theoretical Part. In the main part of the research, the distribution fields of temperature, speed and air pressure inside the cabin of a metallurgical crane were constructed, the values at the points of which were compared with the hygienic standards. In addition, the factors that affect the adequacy of the developed model were considered, namely the grid structure, the way to set the initial and boundary conditions. Conclusion. The refinement of the analysis grid and the consideration of infiltration in the model eventually allowed us to get more correct results: the temperature at the characteristic points differ by no more than 1.3 °C, the speed values do not exceed the standard 0.3 m/s, the average normalized temperature of 24 °C is maintained in a volume of about 60-70 % of the total cabin volume.

Several constructions of electromagnetic actuators with moving permanent magnet for Braille screen are studied. All they are formed from a basic one that consists of two coils, core and moving permanent magnet. The finite element method is used for modeling of the magnetic field and for obtaining the electromagnetic force acting on the mover. The static force-stroke characteristics are obtained for four different constructions of the actuator. The constructions with ferromagnetic disc between the coils ensure greater force than the ones without disc and can reach the required minimum force.
